They have a big selection of bagels, including some creative options like crème brûlée. My everything bagel was hard throughout, rather than being hard on the outside and soft on the inside. I heard the Asiago bagel was much better though. The service can be a bit slow. They take payment when your order is ready, rather than when you are done ordering, which is a little inefficient, given there is no ticketing system nor do they ask for names when you order. Most customers are on their phones while they wait, so this causes some delay.

This establishment is clean and inviting. As you enter there is a self serving coffee and tea station. The coffee was very good. I opted for the decaf which had a rich, dense flavor with a lingering pleasant after taste. They offer white sugar and the usual sugar substitutes. It would have been nice to offer brown sugar or agave. I ordered an omelet with spinach, onions, mushroom with a side of mushrooms and bacon. The bacon appeared to have been made in a microwave (soft and undercooked) the omlete was cooked to perfection. This place is worth a visit.

Delicious bagel and wonderful service here! Right off of main street so parking may be a pain but garage parking is right around the corner as well. I have been looking for a good, hearty bagel place for those special weekend breakfasts, and this place is it. With a display case full of homemade specialty cream cheeses, warm bagels, and fast service, what is not to love? I got the classic sundried tomato on a toasted everything bagel, and I must say, the herbs they put in that cream cheese had me wanting a second bagel. One thing to note is that there is a small credit card surcharge, so def bring some cash if you have any! Coffee is also self-service after you purchase a cup. A quick stop at the warm and welcoming BEC Bagels is a sure start to a good weekend.

Picked up a TooGood2Go Order on a Monday at around 3:30, and they gave us 15 bagels! There were a few Montreal-style bagels in there, which was cool because I don't know of many spots that make these. They gave us a good variety. The bagels are on the chewier side, which I'm not sure if I love. But if you're looking for a deal on bagels, this is a pretty good one.

Stopped in the other day to see what BEC Bagels is all about as I'm always in the search for A+ rated bagels where ever I go; especially in the tristate area. As we all know, having NYC in Bergen county's backyard, holds a pretty high standard for us bagel connoisseurs. While there are no shortages of places to purchase bagels in Bergen County, many of the bagels either fall flat on their face as they're not made fresh, tasteless, or just way too overpriced for "good enough" bagels. Luckily for us, BEC bagels in Hackensack, NJ does not fall in any of those categories. I knew I was in for a treat when their special for the day was "pastrami salmon bagel", which immediately peaked my interest. Actually, when I see something like this, I had to order it, which I was not disappointed in. I got a chance to talk to the owner there who was super friendly and definitely showed a passion for what he does. The bagel was fresh. It was toasted perfectly. The vegetable cream cheese was tasty. And the pastrami salmon paired well with the keepers, red onions, and tomato. I returned a few days later to actually try the bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches for which their namesake is derived from (B = bacon, E = eggs, C = cheese). Again, I wasn't disappointed. I'm glad to see that with the Hackensack Renaissance. That's going on right now, is bringing in more diverse food choices, other than pizza and Colombian food (which I'm not complaining about either).Yum! First time here, and I'm sure I'll be back! Upon entering, I was promptly greeted by manager Rob, who was quick to attend to my bagel needs! Baker comes in at 4am to prepare the day's bagels! Nice variety of bagels to choose from. I've enjoyed a garlic bagel, so far, and I recommend it! Omelettes, salads, and sandwiches are available as well. Stop by and check it out!

Nice people, but if you are looking for a place where they will get your order right...look elsewhere. I have ordered here 10+ times and each time my order is wrong in some way. I keep going back to see if they will get my order right. Today I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with melted cheese and toasted bread. The cheese was cold, the bread was hard (not toasted) and they gave the smallest piece of chicken you can imagine. Not going back here again they need to do better and have their cooks follow directions because when I see the receipt they put exactly what I ordered, but the cooks never seem to follow.

Awwww. Best Bagel and Coffee in town!

The best breakfast spot in the area hands down. Super friendly staff and they're fast even when it gets busy. Cannot recommend them enough.

This day I said, "Today is the day and I'm getting a freaking sandwich from this joint.", so I rode my road bike here and it was a good 25 minute bike ride to get there. But when I finally got there it was surprisingly closed. I was confused because Yelp says they open at 8am and here I was there at 8:30 am and closed. I was super disappointed and was like ok today isn't the day I'm getting this sandwich but hey at least I got a nice workout getting here and back. Just when I was about to leave something told me to call and lo and behold Cosmo answered. He said they open at 9am and that he was making fresh mozzarella before they opened for the day. I told him on Yelp it says your open at 8 am and he said Yelp makes up their own hours but for me to wait and he'll make me the sandwich and it should be ready in 10 minutes. Awesome and he did do the selection #1 sandwich in 10 min and all before he was officially opened for me consisting of sopp, capp, salami, ham, fresh mozz, sharp provolone, sweet peppers and LTO. That was awesome customer service to me. So as I went inside to pay, he told me $10. In my mind,"I'm like seriously for this heavy sandwich I thought it would be at least $12. What a great deal" I thought. I paid and thanked him and rode my bike home burning off some calories before putting them back with this sandwich . It is a pretty good sandwich and for the price you would pay at a crappy Subway place. I can see why this place is popular and will be back for more sandwiches. Highly recommend as a good value sub place for the quality of ingredients you get at a great price. You're welcome and remember be nice to each other.

I saw pictures of it before ordering and it was still shocking seeing it in person. I felt like I was drinking a lot of artificial yellow coloring. They have lots of drink options to choose from! The rise and shine breakfast sandwich has potential. The ingredients weren't evenly dispersed in the wrap. The second half I ate was lacking egg and had A LOT of goat cheese. This simple makeup of ribeye, cheese, onions, and fresh bread is what makes the sandwich so alluring to anyone. A great cheesesteak requires an even mixing of the parts. That means the cheese is melted and mixed with each crevice of the beef and onions. The bread encases the entirety. Every single bite should be consistent with the last and the next. However, in Jersey, one might think the best cheesesteaks only come from the boardwalks. Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O's Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather. Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more. We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings. Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn't skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly. Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try.
