It wasn't just me; even my dad (who eats EVERYTHING) got sick from it. Perfectly sweet and the perfect size. The TIRAMISU cake was so moist and had a good coffee kick! I can't remember which CREAM PUFF I got but it did not disappoint. I bought three pastries from this shop at 8 AM, one of the pastries I took to work to share and saw around 8:20 AM that the Pistachio Ashta tray they have sold me is covered in mold. I called right away and ask if I can come in to get a refund or to exchange the pastry. The employees quickly told me that they can't do any refunds or exchange. And accused me for causing this mold onto the cake. How was I able to put mold on a cake!!!!!I went back to the shop and during my break to speak to a supervisor. I spoke to the owner. Instead of apologizing, I was accused again and could not refund me. I showed them the pastry and was in denial that how can the pastry be filled in mold. Thankfully I had all my receipts to show my proof. She would not refund me but only exchange the cake. I felt disrespected by this service. The pretty shell is actually white chocolate!! Creme Brulee (petite) - mom's favorite, it was so good I could not get a bite! - Hazelnut Cream Puff -- The custard in the middle was slightly frozen? A friend from out of town heard I was sick so she sent me some cake from Teapot...and it was delicious and light and moist. The berries were fresh and tart sweet. Not sure if that was done intentionally charging the price of a cake double the amount and not offering a receipt . I noticed going thru my transactions and when I called the manger made me drive all the way back to the shop to check and refund the amount and honestly wasn't even apologetic about the inconvenience they caused to customer . I just ordered a delivery and everything tastes pretty good. Eclair was great and it had a generous custard portion unlike some bakeries put a little dollop inside. Cappuccino cake tasted a little plain. I ordered Teapot Gatta and Gatta w/ puff pastry but the two gattas seem and taste identical and there is no label on the packaging so I wouldn't know if I got the right order. This place has become a joke. Looks like businesses nowadays are only all about making money. No customer service, the prices are insane. I've been going to them for 5 years and for the last year I've noticed things going down hill but it was until this moment I realized that I will not be stepping foot in here again. My husband went to get a cake for my girls graduation party and kindly asked them to write congratulations on the cake and this is what we got. He was so upset and the girl went and called the owner and the owner told the girl to tell my husband that they don't write on cakes anymore so she wrote with a sharpie on a cardboard and stuck in the cake I was sick to my stomach. Great pastry shop, it is at corner of the west Glenoaks street. The ladies who helped costumers had pink aprons . My server was attentive,She was really welcoming ,however she was tired. I got few mini pastries , the eclairs and puffs were stuffed with tasty cream inside. The mini tarts were washed off with sugar syrup and seems all of them made the same day I bought them. Terrible service over all. They have nice election but employees could care less about a customer or their needs. Asked a simple little sign that's said @Happy Birthday" first they declined to help only after few minutes someone just dropped a piece of foam that she wrote happy birthday on. When asked for them to redo and write the name of the person I was verbally attached by a woman with heavy accent and even bigger attitude. The moment the car took off - slowly, we knew what we were carrying and how important it was given that we were 8.5 months pregnant - the top layer started sliding off of the bottom layer. NEVER ordering cake from this bakery again. Ordered a baby shower cake from a design I loved on the web. First off, they would not make the cookies in the shape of letters telling me they can't make them. Are you not a bakery? You can't make sugar cookies? I'm sorry if making sugar cookies with icing design is too difficult of a task for this establishment. Second, the cake did not have enough support in it to be transportable without paying for delivery. The top layer which only had 2 support sticks in it was clearly too heavy to be structurally supportable, so the moment the car started moving, the top layer slid down off the bottom layer and collapsed. For comparison, the bottom layer had 6 or 8 short sticks to support it which did not extend the length of the entire cake top-to-bottom (i.e., did not extend into the top layer). Best advice - find another bakery. Glendale has a great many wonderful bakeries that understand the mechanics of making multi-tier cakes. This one clearly knows only how to make single-layer cakes, and if something goes wrong will always blame you. read more
