Someone recommended this bakery for their lahmajun. There was a line so that was a good sign . The lahmajun were coming fresh and hot out of the oven . There were perfect , with a hint of red peppers and parsley. The quality of the meat was excellent. The service was also very courteous and fast. This bakery was recommended to me by my Armenian boss. He suggested I order ahead of time if I didn't want to wait, but when I was in the area and decided to go last minute, I just pulled up! There were a few parking spots open, the mid size lot is shared with multiple businesses. The bakery itself is very small with no seating inside, just a few tables outside. There was a small line. I grabbed a bottle of Yogurt drink from the fridge and we decided to get one lahbajune each and a cheese boerek to share since we were just there for a snack after walking around Forest Lawn Cemetery. It seems like they continuously make fresh bread during the busy hours because a baker was repeatedly dumping lahmajune down onto the counter, where they looked piping hot with steam. After ordering, the woman quickly packed up our order and provided napkins. The prices are super cheap! We ate the lahmajune in the car. I would recommend bringing lemons or buying lemons ($1 at the bakery) to give it some more tang, but we were still extremely satisfied with it. The bread was super thin and crispy, and there was a good amount of meat topping. It was flavorful and fresh, delicious! The yogurt drink was fine to me, I finished it all but typically prefer sweet yogurt drinks which this was not. Still tangy and definitely healthy! At home we reheated the cheese boerek and ate it with some soup. The bread smells absolutely delicious and the cheese filling was thick and yummy! Wow Taron Bakery absolutely blew us away! We stopped in for the first time and ordered the spicy borek, and let me tell you... it was to die for. Fresh out of the oven, perfectly warm, just the right kick of spice, and the cheese was incredible. We also tried the meat lahmajune and again, wow! Hot, fresh, and full of flavor, you really can't beat that. It's a small bakery with limited outdoor seating, and they were super busy when we visited, so we didn't get much interaction with the staff. But honestly, the food speaks for itself. I was waiting for my order, only to watch an acquaintance of the staff walk in after me, stroll straight up to the counter, and receive their meal moments later. Taron Bakery was our first stop on our bakery crawl. There was a little bit on a line on a Sunday morning but it moved fast (there's just not much room to stand inside the bakery and both groups of people in front of us were picking up or place very large orders). Because we were just beginning our crawl, we had to keep our order small. We tried their tahini bread and the spicy cheese boerek. I really enjoyed the boerek. Love Taron Bakery's Lahmajun. I usually get heartburn after eating a lahmajun but not from this one. I believe adding too much bell peppers to the meat mixture gives you heartburn. But they make them just perfect here. Their byorek tastes good too. For events you can order ahead so you don't have to wait too long. This location is small but has a big parking lot. There are a few tables and chairs outside in case you want to eat there. Customer service is not the greatest here but that's kind of normal for an Armenian owned business. I was dissatisfied with the taste of the Zaatar I ordered, it was really oily and the taste was weird and off. I had to ask for my food to be warmed up, however my cheese borek was served cold. She only pointed to a stack of items and said THAT'S ALL WE HAVE!!!!! And turned around with a mean look on her face. You know..... there was no reason for you to be so RUDE and so disrespectful. My friends were there behind me and also heard her lack of respect and appreciation that all of us were even there. We were quiet and did NOT cause any issues while reading the menu and so there was no reason to be so disrespectful lady! So, because of her attitude, we only bought two things to try and to be honest, they were NOT that good even without the attitude. My Armenian friends were also not happy to hear that kind of tone. If I were you, I would go someplace else to purchase your food and completely AVOID this place!!!!! Unless you enjoy being disrespected, then be my guest. I've been in the food industry for many years, and this is NOT the way you acquire more business or a good review in my books. She treated others in a very similar way before I left too and so I'm guessing they are in the business of GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. I can help with that if that's what she wants. The best Lahmajunes/mideastern pizza in Southern California. They are very nice and let you wait for the fresh out the oven ones if you can wait which I don't mind. Most of their competitors don't do that and get mad when asked if you can wait for the hot ones and they'll say that all are fresh. They are usually busy, so calling and placing an order is very helpful. I got 3 dozens of "Armenian Pizza" also known as lahmajoon, its a great lunch food, leftovers can be stored in freezer for months, just put them in oven for 25 minutes and voila you have fresh and delicious "ready to eat" lunch.
