Republik served up a pretty perfect breakfast! Tucked away on a little side street in Downtown Burbank, it has a cute neighborhood feel and an adorable shaded patio that stays surprisingly cool even on a warm day. The portion was super generous with a great amount of protein: two eggs, three small sausages, avocado, pickled onions, expertly seasoned crispy rosemary potatoes, and blistered grape tomatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. The espresso was strong and smooth, prices felt very reasonable for the portion sizes, and service was fast. Such a great little find. I've had a couple of days where I had to kill several hours in Burbank and was looking for a coffee shop with (1) free parking, (2) food, (3) WiFi, (4) comfy places to sit. This place meets all the requirements. It was totally comfortable hanging out there all day on my laptop and the food and drinks I had were all good. The employees are also friendly. The ONLY reason I'm giving this place a 3 is that last time I went, the bathroom was FILTHY and there was no toilet paper. I'm not even kidding - it looked like the sink hadn't been cleaned in months, there was grime everywhere and even a dead cockroach, belly up on the floor. This is first thing in the morning when they opened. It had me looking around at other parts of this coffee shop like behind the counter and on the floor and I don't know what happened since last time but it was grimy. Their grab and go fridge was also nearly empty, which I thought was weird. Did something happen? Anyway, I hope they fix all that because otherwise, this is a great little place with a good menu and nice people who work there. read more

On the walk down the Burbank Blvd, this delightful coffee shop is located in an alley by Kalaveras and the candy shop. After looking at the photos we opted for the Pistachio Latte, Iced. It was delicious and sweet, topped with cold foam and garnished with pistachios. Service was quick and there is seating in the lobby with couches as well. Ambiance is chill. 1st time going here. Came here to meet up for breakfast and then catch an early movie at the AMC right next door. Staff was friendly and helpful with menu. Ordered the chilaquiles and a Latte Matcha. Food was served tonys at a table there. Smaller sized restaurant if you're looking for a olace to sit but they have outdoor seating as well. Food was good and portions solid. 3.5** I've been here three or four times recently but forgot to review oops! Love the atmosphere here and there's plenty of seating. All the workers have been really nice and one even gave me free food one time when he saw I was headed to my retail shift. So sweet! Service is decently fast. My friend and I went on our lunch break this past week and they were quick with the drinks (it was also midday on like Tuesday so it was kind of slow). Parking can be difficult depending on the time, but there's a few parking structures nearby. I want to give this place 5 stars but my drink is so inconsistently made. The first time I went to this location a few weeks ago, I got one of the best coffees I've had in the city! 10/10 no notes. But my last two visits it was watered down and so milky. This past week I went and there was no coffee taste and it looked even lighter than chocolate milk. So disappointing bc my drink comes out to $10 ($9 + $1 tip). And I went on my limited lunch break thinking I was getting a sure thing, but I tossed it after trying to drink at least half (mission: failed). Everyone seems to love their Vietnamese coffee and I tried my friend's and that had at least a strong coffee flavor. So maybe that's the way to go for anyone thinking of coming here. This place is packed on the weekend especially this weekend because there was a fair happening. The line was long to order but I got my drinks fairly quickly. The staff member who took my order did seem very stressed due to the amount of people but she treated us decently. I ordered two drinks: one iced matcha latte and one acai smoothie. The acai smoothie was ordered by my sister and she mentioned how she did not like it at all. The iced matcha latte is the drink I ordered and it was okay. I think it was a little bit watery so I thought it was just decent. It didn't stand out too much. I think they are known for their coffees more than their other drinks but nonetheless what I ordered tasted okay except for the smoothie. read more

We came into Republik Coffee on a Wednesday evening and had a great experience overall. Service was quick and friendly, and we got our drinks just a couple minutes after ordering. They have a pretty extensive menu along with a solid assortment of pastries and candy options. This time we only opted for drinks, but we definitely plan on coming back to try more. I ordered the iced Vietnamese cold brew. It was definitely on the stronger side, and I can appreciate that it wasn't too sweet. The menu describes the Vietnamese cold brew as including coconut water, although I can't say that the coconut water flavor comes through in the drink. That being said, it wasn't exactly a flavor I would otherwise be looking for in my Vietnamese coffee so I wouldn't count that as a bad thing. There was plenty of seating inside and the ambiance was great. It's a nice spot to hang out, study, or catch up with friends. read more

Adorable cafe! My first time here. I love the ambiance and decor. The coffee tastes so fresh! Hot and delicious! I didn't even need cream and sugar. I saw a lady eating a beautiful breakfast crossaint with eggs and fruit on the side. Service is impeccable. No one bothered us as we sat and enjoyed our drinks. Located in downtown Burbank, this coffee spot is sort of hidden to the side so be careful not to miss it. The inside is not that big but they do have a decent amount of tables to sit at. Besides coffee they offer a variety of food options as well as pastries. Service was great, extremely nice staff. I ordered a seasonal matcha drink they offered. We had to wait a few min for an open table but not too bad. The drink took longer to come out than expected. I had to make my husband go check on the status. The taste of the matcha was good, not as earthy as ai would like but it wasn't bad either. Overall nice spot and I would be back to try other items on the menu. read more

I stopped by on a Friday around 11am. There's a parking structure in the back which is super convenient. The indoor space is small but has a handful of tables and they also offer outdoor seating. The line moved quickly and they have menus in a basket by the line so you can look over it while you wait. They sell pastries and grab-and-go items like salads, wraps, and fruit cups. I ordered the berry smoothie and it was so good! For food, my sister and I shared the chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and an almond croissant. The chilaquiles were delicious and every bite in the croissant had almond. I got the lavender matcha! It was tasty. My friend got the turmeric golden latte but said it was a bit too spicy for her (pepper wise). Overall cute spot, always seems fairly crowded however with not much room for seating. Parking: There is paid parking available on the street, parking garages for downtown Burbank or you can park for free in the Burbank mall parking garage and walk over. Ambiance/Decor: It's so cute and nice in Republik! Very cozy coffee shop and there have been a couple times that I have seen live music being played inside. We parked in the garage along E Orange Grove. I ordered the iced pistachio latte ($7) and it came out super fast. For service, I would say the young gentleman working the register was very nice and friendly. He greeted me and was very patient while I was deciding on what to order. She was smiling and making eye contact with customers while handing them their drinks not just leaving them on the counter like some places do nowadays. I visited this location today and it was my first time trying this place. Unfortunately, I was not completely satisfied with my experience, especially with the food quality. The egg did not seem very fresh to me, and the coffee I ordered was only warm, so I was a little disappointed. I'm sorry to say that I did not have the experience I was hoping for. The environment is beautiful, and the place has a very nice atmosphere. I would just encourage the management to pay a little more attention to the freshness and quality of the food and to make sure the coffee is served at the right temperature. Even though they are open until 19:00, the kitchen closes early at 16:00. So only have drinks and pastries. I feel that they should have hours posted for the kitchen. I'm looking for places in Burbank and Glendale to get a Vietnamese coffee ever since my friend introduced me to it. I saw Republik has a Vietnamese Cold Brew so I tried it. It was pretty good! The coffee was strong and it tasted great. The reason I docked a point is because the location itself is very clustered and claustrophobic inside. We came here on a weekend morning and got the dulce de leche French toast and the avocado toast. We also ordered the cardamom coffee. The coffee was very good and on the sweeter side. The Dulce de leche French toast was also good had crispy edges and fresh fruit and fresh bread. But it was probably too sweet for our tastes. The avocado toast was a little disappointing. The avocado was more like guacamole and a little more sour than I would have liked. The 7-minute egg was very small, only half a boiled egg, which is disappointing. The service was also fine. You order at the front and then sit down with the number. They brought us our food and drink. But they don't check in on you or anything. The food is more expensive like what you'd expect for a sit down with full service. For two entrees and a coffee, it was just about $45 (not including tip) so it's definitely pricy for what you get. The ambiance is very nice with high ceilings and big windows. But I don't understand why they left the door open in the morning -- the place was freezing! read more

Republik Coffee has been in Burbank for a while now and it's really good! I tried their Cardamom Oat Latte and Pistachio Latte. Both of these drinks were really smooth and had great flavor. I've never had a cardamom latte and it was a great mix of flavors. The pistachio latte was on the sweeter side but didn't overpower the coffee flavor. Service was good. This place has so many great choices to choose from! Ambiance is cute. Right by the amc theater and lots of shops around as well. Vietnamese cold brew coffee and charcoal coffee are very yummy! I was excited to try Republik Coffee, but unfortunately the experience missed the mark. I ordered an iced vanilla matcha, a salted cold brew cloud, and banana bread. The first issue came when my matcha was made hot instead of iced and had to be remade. Even after the remake, it tasted like straight matcha powder and wasn't well mixed. The banana bread was served cold and wasn't warmed up, which was disappointing. What stood out most, though, was the cleanliness. As I walked into the shop around 7:30 a.m., the outdoor trash area was already overflowing. Inside, there was a trash can right next to the pickup counter that smelled bad and had visible stains all over it. For being so early in the morning, I was surprised that the trash hadn't been emptied or the area cleaned before opening. The salted cold brew cloud was decent, but overall the drinks, food, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Hoping this was just an off morning, but based on this visit, I wouldn't rush back. read more

The space has a cute, playful vibe inside, and the latte I ordered was absolutely fantastic. They've got plenty of other drink and food options too, so it's more than just a coffee stop. Even though it was busy, there was lots of seating, and the staff were super kind and welcoming. And the pastries--wow. Flaky, fresh, and the perfect pairing with coffee.
