Wow wow wow! So pleasantly surprised with this bakery. I've been to almost every bakery you may know and nothing compares to TeaPot (no, this is not a sponsored ad). I came in earlier this afternoon w my family and we ordered a mixed assortment of the cookies and a creme brûlée. The heart shaped chocolate raspberry cookie is to die for, so rich and buttery yet so light. Such a great balance. I haven't gotten the chance to try the rest but am already obsessed. I can't wait until my next visit! read more

Great place to buy fresh pastries. Went in to get some baked goods for New Years and I did not regret it one bit. Everyone loved the pastries and cakes so am very happy about that. Everything was very fresh and new. The price for the pastries and cakes were pretty reasonable judging by the taste of the items. I will definitely be a returning customer. The absolute worst service I've ever received. The employees all have horrible attitudes and don't know how to talk to customers. I went to buy a cake for my sisters birthday and they refused to write happy birthday, I asked for a sign at the least and this is the sign she put on the cake. If you want tasteless cakes that have been frozen for few days after baking them then sold as fresh then be my guest and waste your money. These were so hard the knife barely went through them and look at the pics how the dough and the whip cream just cracked after cutting it. I got few not one by mistake on 12/23/2021 and all of them were frozen and tasteless not just one of them. Hey if i want a frozen cake baskin robins does a waaaay better job at that. Save your money and nerves drive the extra to get a better cake. First and last time here! read more

We were staying with friends nearby and happened on this bakery. I had no idea what to expect but I am so glad we went inside. There are lots of Armenian restaurants in the area, so perhaps this bakery is Armenian as well? There is a definite non-western feel to it. However, please know that TeaPot makes a wide variety of baked goods, from beautiful little cake slices, eclairs or napoleons to cookies, fully decorated cakes and many other things I don't recognize. They also have a small seating area with some displays for imported sweets, little toys with candy inside for kids and freezers/refrigerators with frozen treats. The displays are beautiful to look at and I have always had great experiences with the service. In terms of bakeries, I have a soft spot for cake. Note that TeaPot is _not_ the kind of place that makes cakes with buttercream frosting (I go to Sweet Lady Janes for that). Instead, many of their cakes are light sponge with a layer of fruit flavored or pistachio flavored cream and then a glaze. My favorite thing by far to get here is the birds milk cake. I had no idea what it was but the woman behind the counter recommended it and I agree that it's one of the best things I've ever tasted. Think thin, delicate layers of chocolate and vanilla sponge topped by a bittersweet chocolate frosting. It's not too sweet - perfect for having with coffee or tea. I only ever buy it a slice or two at a time because I'm pretty sure I'd eat the entire cake in one sitting if I bought one. My husband loves their cookies, which are the tender and melt in your mouth. They're good, too, but yeah...birds milk cake....(drool) Last time I was there, they had special cakes for Easter. The woman behind the counter told me the cakes were made with orange juice and bits of orange zest. I took a few pictures because I liked how they were decorated. read more

I always order my cakes from tea pot bakery but Unfortunately this will be the last time. Not only did they mess up on the name and age on the cake and when I spoke about the matter they got loud and tried to shut me up. So I ask to speak to someone above them and that's when Megan came out and was worse then her staff. Please save ur energy, time, money and go somewhere else to order your cake! read more

I went in for cheesecake, and there was none. So I assembled a sampler box of cannoli, eclairs and Napoleon, and then I saw a list of sandwiches. Pastrami. I couldn't resist, and glad I didn't. Hmm, on a crispy baguette, it was delicious. Eclairs and napoleon better than the cannolis. Made a note that the mini cake sampler would be perfect for a party. read more

Very cute new bakery on Glenoaks and Grandview. They have 2 sections of pastries, cream/jam filled and cookies. The worker did mention they make sandwiches, but I didn't get a chance to try it, maybe next trip. I ordered a few to test out-- I will say, all the pastries have the right amount of sweetness. My main complaint from these other bakeries near by is that the pastries are way too sweet and loaded with whipped cream, not custard. Cappuccino bonbon - Delicious! The bottom later has the crispy cake tart type of base, a layer of cake and then a light, yet sweet cappuccino mouse. Mini vanilla eclair - Perfect size, so amazing, the chocolate topping is just right. The custard inside is really good, and again, not too sweet. Everything is done proportionately right. Napoleon - Custard - Haven't tried this yet! Chocolate mouse cake thingy- Can't recall the name. Haven't tried this yet either, but will tonight! (Work with me here, I can't eat all of them at once!) Parking is easy, it's a small lot, but they do have a few spaces right in front of the store. The store front is modern & new. Employees are SUPER nice and very sweet. Upbeat, smiling and happy to run down details about any of the pastries. They did have gata, which smelled DIVINE, so I'll be back to try that as well. They serve coffee, Armenian & American and have a cream/sugar station. Overall, really cute spot. It's worth switching up and trying this place--to get out of the standard bakeries that are on Glenoaks. read more

Try the apple tart it is amazing!! The three ladies that helped us out were very sweet and helpful. They let us sample whatever me and my boyfriend wanted and gave us good suggestions since they have a large selection. We got the Cappuccino cake, Apple tart, and a chocolate cake with mousse filling (I forgot the name). All were delicious! Since this place is in walking distance from our house, we will be returning for a date soon to try their tea and coffee. read more

Staff is very rude. Walked in to get some eclairs for my elderly mother. Staff behind the counter. A man and 2 girls. I said hello. Was not even acknowledged. Stayed for 5 mins just for the staff to walked inside and ignore my presence. Is that how you run a business? Walked out..taking my business somewhere else. Went here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I were about to make our journey to Temecula from Glendale and decided to stop by this place since it had opened only a few weeks ago. We probably were there about 7AM, which was just 30 minutes after store opening and there was already 2 workers getting the store prepped. I just loved how bright and welcoming the place was as well as elegant that I wouldn't have mind taking a seat at one of the tables to just enjoy their pastries. But unfortunately our long journey ahead kept us from taking that opportunity. They basically offered Armenian baked goods, but also sandwiches for lunch time. They had various choices for coffee, including Armenian Coffee, and the display cases were filled with different slices of cakes, mousse, cookies, pastries, and they had another display case that specifically was their savory pastries filed with meat, potatoes, and cheese. They had a fridge filled with cakes you could order and they were very beautiful to look at. And their other fridge was filled with some more treats, drinks, and even ice cream from Mashti Malones located around the Hollywood area that I really love. We ended up getting a pastry with meat and herbs, a puffy pastry that had cheese, a slice of tiramisu, a cheese danish, and a Kinder egg that was Star Wars themed. Everything tasted really good, even though the bread with the meat inside had a doughy texture that took me a quick minute to get over. Definitely will be coming back here to enjoy more of their pastries :) read more

I ordered a cake from TeaPot for my engagement this weekend. They charged me $300 since it was a fondant cake. The cake we picked up was NOT fondant and actually melted by the time it got to the event. It also did NOT look like the picture I showed them. If you CAN'T DO A DESIGN, JUST LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW! It's better than attempting something above your skill set and failing. I was actually embarrassed of the cake and apologized to my guests for how ugly it was. Honestly, just go somewhere else if you want a custom cake. They either didn't care or didn't know how to make the cake I paid for. read more

Word of advice, if you hate your job that much then quit. Simple as that. No need to give an attitude to a paying customer who helps proved you with your paycheck. I went a few days ago and was greeted by a rude woman who clearly didn't want to be there. If the owner is reading this, I highly recommend your provide better training to your staff otherwise you'll continue losing customers. read more

Tried a few things from here, and so far I've liked it all. Everything has been fresh & tasty. Parking is convenient in the lot. Bakery is very clean and has a wide variety of items. I'm planning on possibly getting my next birthday cake from here, just to try a whole cake. So far the individual pieces have been great. Customer service is ok, and prices are fairly average as well. I would recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. read more

First of all every single thing they sell is overpriced for what it is. The cake is so dry it literally gets stuck in your throat. Have they not heard of simple syrup before?!?!? What kind of Bakery sells dry cakes. The cream around the cake tastes artificial and bitter. They should really invest in some good buttercream recipes. You could get a much better quality cake at your nearest Ralph's or pavilions for a fraction of the cost. Avoid this place at all costs, if I could give them a 0 star review I would. read more

I went to buy candles and the girl at the register charged me $7. The price tag on the number candles are different from what she charged me. Karinas candles are 2 bucks each. This place will ripe you off any day at any time and will charge you whatever price that comes out of their ass. read more

My first time was at their Rancho Cucamonga location. Nick, the staff member who helped me, was very nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations on their best flavors. He graciously offered them. Thank you Nick! I got to sample a handful of flavors... Boston Cream Pie, Sea Salt Caramel, Death By Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato, and Cinnamon. Thanks for the samples! All the flavors were very good except for the Cinnamon which I thought was very light in taste. Since I was driving, I chose an ice cream shake instead of a cup or cone. Caramel Macchiato was my pick! It had a really nice caramel flavor with coffee bean bits. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't pile up the ice cream to the top of the lid. It stopped at the top of the cup. I felt I was shorted some ice cream unfortunately. Hence, 4 stars! Nevertheless, Nick was amazing. His service was fantastic. Wonderful conversation and experience. I just saw a false review towards this Armenian owned amazing bakery and I want to address it. Armenian's are the most welcoming and the most hospitable people to any and every other culture, race, religion etc. Every time I walk into this bakery the place smells fresh, it's clean, the workers are very nice and I have seen them help each and every customer with respect and kindness despite the language barrier. As I know the owners myself, they prioritize the quality of the pastries & cakes [such as using the healthiest butter & the most delicious creams which they always recommend without food coloring] and the satisfaction of each costumer. Every birthday cake has been from TeaPot Bakery & so will my wedding cake! Embarrassing i went there Saturday morning and choose what slised i want the cashier packed them put in bag and gibe it to me i came home and i saw that young lady put all the bonbons(flyffy muse cake)all on each other and they were all smashed and not eatable,napelon was smashed under the eclaires she could use bigger box for that many slicesed but she put them all in small clear plastic box,i also bouth bamie they were so old not fresh at all and there was a fly in the box i spent almost 70$ for literally trash.i would never step in this bakery anymore.. read more

I purchased a bar cake from Teapot Bakery and it was clearly old and spoiled. The cream had a strange smell, and it was obvious that it was not fresh and was likely stored for days. This is not only unacceptable in terms of quality, but also potentially dangerous for health. After this experience, I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone. Good business etiquette is simple: when a business makes a mistake, it should acknowledge it, correct it immediately, sincerely apologize to the customer, and ensure the customer leaves satisfied. That builds trust and demonstrates accountability. Instead, much of your response focuses on explaining that the price tag may have been moved accidentally by staff or customers. Those are explanations, not accountability. This was one of the last two pieces left in the display, and the incorrect price tag should have been noticed well before my purchase. As I also stated in my response to the Agricultural Commissioner of Weights & Measures Inspector, I am almost certain that after I shared my experience and reviews on social media, the pricing discrepancies would have been already corrected. If that is the case, I genuinely hope those changes help make sure future customers are charged accurately and fairly. Regarding the Kyiv cake, my concern is relatively minimal compared to the pricing issue. It simply did not taste as good as it used to. It lacked the freshness and flavor we had previously enjoyed, and it tasted somewhat stale. This is the least of my concern. What concerns me most is the lack of accountability. Businesses earn customer loyalty by owning their mistakes, not by offering explanations for why they may have happened. A sincere apology, immediate correction and a commitment to making things right would have been a much more appropriate response.
