I was working in the area and saw that this tea shop was right next door. I have been to teaspoon before, so I was looking forward to this drink. I ordered on the App, so my drink was ready when I got off of work. Cupid's Kiss: This was a special drink at the time. It was strawberry and lychee tea mixed together and I enjoyed the flavor profile it has. Though the strawberry did overpower the lychee a little bit, they both still worked together. Review #006 - 2026 I've been coming to this particular location a lot lately because it's within driving distance to my daughter's gymnastics class so it's pretty much a given that she would ask for a treat after she's done with her practice. However, I do try my best not to cave in to every request. Although, it's not the easiest! Their drinks are pretty much the same as any other location, but customer service is usually pretty friendly, depending on who's working that day. The only drink that I've been highly disappointed with is their hot matcha latte because it straight up tasted like I was drinking hot milk with some left over matcha from yesterday. I don't know if they make it this way every time, but I am too afraid to order it again just to pay for a drink that I would end up tossing the second time around. I do love that they are always up-to-date on their holiday decorations, as you can probably tell from all of my drink photos. It definitely makes one want to come back just to check out what's in store for the next holiday! Being one of my go-to chain brands, it was a no brainer to come to this location when I found myself in Walnut Creek and craving for some boba. Located in a large outdoor shopping center, there are plenty of parking spots despite the hectic amount of cars that are constantly passing through. The store itself is inviting, clean and spacious. It was approaching Easter when I visited, so they had quite a bit of cute Easter decorations up at that time. I placed an order through the app, but strangely enough it was taking a bit to go through on their system. The lady behind the counter very graciously offered to make the drink for me anyways despite their system lag. Ordered a Mango Funtime Smoothie and w/ boba and really enjoyed the fresh mango used in the drink. The cold slushie hit perfectly on a hot day. A coffee made well is a coffee worth having, and this is true of Teaspoon's new lineup of Vietnamese coffee. Bold and invigorating, these coffees look good, taste delicious, and make for a wonderful midmorning energy boost. The one Teaspoon in my area was on the other side of town, so I headed across town to get there. Parking was easy to find, and I walked into the Teaspoon. Upbeat music played, and the shop smelled wonderfully of brewed teas and sweet milks. The menu was on my right, and a kiosk for ordering was just below. The staff took my order for a Vietnamese coffee with an additional topping of honey boba. I got my coffee and headed out, eager to try it. The first sip was solid. The coffee was robust and rich, an intense flavor sweetened just enough by and balanced by the condensed milk. Dark, earthy, with notes of cream, nuts, and chocolate, my Vietnamese coffee was as good as Vietnamese coffees I've had elsewhere. The honey boba was malty and chewy, and I liked how it added fun texture to the coffee. I enjoyed my Vietnamese coffee, and I'm definitely coming back to Teaspoon to try another coffee from their lineup. read more

came in on a friday afternoon. wasn't too packed so service was really fast. we got the mango funtime smoothie w boba and a classic thai tea. mango funtime smoothie was delicious and super refreshing. would def go back to get that again. the classic thai tea however was really watered down and didn't meet my expectations. i asked for light ice but it didn't seem like their was light ice. the whole drink barely had any taste and i had a hard time pin pointing the thai tea flavor. boba was hard so keep that in mind when visiting. presentation looked amazing on the other hand!! read more

Our first Teaspoon in this part of the East Bay. While most of them that I knew before were a bit further down south from where I am in the East Bay (San Ramon being the next closest), I'm glad to see one finally here, albeit, we don't already have enough boba places around. But as far as boba specific places go in this direct area, it's one of the better ones. Located in the same shopping center as Whole Foods and Rocco's Ristorante Pizzeria, it won't be too hard to find. It's right next to Jade Garden, which has been there for decades now. Teaspoon doesn't have a very large menu, but have enough options that you can re-visit several times and still find something new off the menu. They do have the basic milk teas options of course, but also have some more specialty ones. Price wise, it's going to be relatively the same as most of the other boba spots. The cups they use are the tall cups, so you get a good amount of drink for your order. The staff here were pretty friendly on my first visit. Easy to converse with, and they were pretty fast at making our drinks. I got two drinks to try today: House Milk Tea, Black Sugar Assam The House Milk Tea is good, same as the other locations. I like the flavor of their teas, so that is one thing that's good with Teaspoon spots. Their boba here is pretty decent as well. It's more soft than QQ at this location, so just depends on your preference. The Black Sugar Assam is basically a brown sugar. Lots of brown sugar smeared on the inside of the cup (mainly for appearance). The drink is pretty sweet, just like any other brown sugar drink typically, so just be aware of what you're ordering. No complaints with this drink today either. I will definitely be back for more Teaspoon again, and glad that one finally opened in our area. Supposedly, their grand opening will be in June, but for now they are good to go for the soft opening for those who wants to drop by. read more

The first experience I had with teaspoon was all the way in San Ramon. It was so good but the drive was a hassle especially on the week days. Certain times hits me with awful traffic through 680 but now I don't need to go through that! I also saw that another teaspoon is opening up soon in todos santos... Ever since I found out, I been ordering online ahead of time for the past 4-5 days now. So far I've tried (with 25-50% sugar) within the past week: 1. Matcha Royale with and without the strawberry (honey boba is a must add) - this is classic matcha drink with milk. Can't go wrong with this drink unless you're not a fan of matcha. If you don't like a lot of sweetness but love matcha, go for 25% sugar. It's perfect amount of bittersweet drink. On the other hand, don't go more than 50%, it'll be too sweet especially if you have the strawberry with it too. 2. Raspberry mojito -This one is refreshing and unique. Hits you with minty sparkling fizz. It's basically raspberry soda. Adding aloe or boba is great option with this drink too! 3. Strawberry sangria -This one, less sugar is needed. At least 25% (if possible). I ordered it online and only gave me an option between regular or less sugar. It hits you with this chunk of sugary strawberry. I don't know if it's purée but it sure was very sweet. Taste like a tea with a lot of strawberry purée. 4. Cucumber drink with lychee juice - This one tends to be my families favorite drink out of all. Definitely a summer time drink for a cool refreshing taste. It'll hit you hard with the cucumber taste so if you're not a fan of cucumber, avoid this drink! Added aloe for the topping. 5. Mango slush with and without the spices- This drink taste like a regular mango smoothie you can get at any juice shop. With tajin/chamoy it adds a little kick into it but I would rather get something similar in a Mexican shop than a boba place. 7.25$+ toppings. I rather pay for another drink. 6. Creamy Jasmine - Simple basic milk tea, my partner loved it in 25% sugar but I didn't. It tasted like a plain milk-tea with little to no taste. Because of the sugar level he chose, probably why I disliked it But hey! If you love milk tea with no sweetness than this drink is a bonus. 7. Guava sunset - Very citrusy drink. I LOVE every little part of this drink. You take a sip and hits your with orangey tenderness and kick of sweetness too. There's something about citrusy drinks that hits different. 8. The flamingo- Watermelon drink with hits of passion fruit and it's very sour because of the passion fruit. I love the watermelon part, taste real but when the passion fruit comes in, and you bite into the seed, SO SOUR! Not my favorite but it's not bad either. Today was my second visit to Teaspoon. My first visit was in May right around when they first opened. I had the black sugar assam tea with honey boba and a vanilla macron. Though I don't normally crave macrons (strange given i have big sweet tooth), I really liked it. I'd definitely try their other flavors in the future. I didn't love the black sugar assam tea as it was too watered down. This time I had the dirty ube with oat milk and honey boba. My first thought when I took my first sip was, "WOW what a difference in taste". My only issue with the drink was that it was pricey with the addition of oat milk and boba. I'm fine paying extra for boba but $1 for oat milk when whole milk gives me bad post-nasal drip is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. A lot of boba places, including Sharetea, use a non-dairy creamer. That might cut down the cost for those of us who need to limit or avoid cow's milk. The cost was $8.25, which is the most I spent on boba. While this drink costs too much to buy regularly, I'm really glad I tried it! Staff is friendly and efficient. As with any good boba place, they have a rewards system. First tried this in the South Bay a few years ago so it was a nice surprise to see their Walnut Creek location when we were yelping boba spots in the area. Tried the guava sunset with boba which was refreshing. I should have gone less sweet but that's always adjustable for the next time and the boba was a tad too chewy but we'll still come back for more... Overall, a cool spot. I like this location, but it's only good to go here when it's not peak hours aka after work on a weekday. You have to compete with CVS, Whole Foods and other food places. Besides that the drinks are always consistent. I really like the caramel creamy milk tea as well as the jasmine. I have not tried any of the food items but it seems to be very popular. Another new favorite boba place! I thought I had posted a review but it was in my drafts! I came here about 3 or 4 times and I've only tried the ube drinks. Violet latte and dirty ube (I think that's the name of them). It's the only two drinks with Ube and they are seasonal (sad face) because they are really good! It's so nice and clean when you walk inside. Everything on the menu looks so good but I haven't tried anything else besides those two. One day I'll try something else! They have cookies and brownies that look delicious (have not tried them yet) My 3rd time there they places the drinks in a bag and when I got home I was carrying the bag out of the car and it fell & the tops broke :/ which sucked I've accidentally dropped boba drinks in a bag before and it didn't pop open that fast. I've been to a few Teaspoons (Palo Alto, San Ramon, Davis, Fremont) and really liked my drinks so I was looking forward to what Walnut Creek has to offer. Since it's only been a month since the store opened, I'll give the rating some grace. There's too much residual honey on the boba. My first sip of the black sugar assam was a chock full of honey. When I asked for less sweet, the barista/cashier said that the drink is only sweetened with caramel, well, I don't think I tasted any. The rest of the drink paled in sweetness and can be aptly described as Lipton black tea with milk. My partner who has a sweet tooth took a sip of caramel cream and felt like he swallowed diabetes. He asked for less sweet but we don't think the barista/cashier heard him. The least sweet ingredient in that cup was the Oreo crumbles, so you can imagine how sickeningly sweet the drink was. And we didn't taste oat milk, the flavor may have been masked by the boba. Instagram friendly interior with some seating space. Went there on their open day but the line was too long and I didn't have enough patience for it. Even though they kept bringing out some drinks and snacks but felt like the service was so slow. Decided to just order later since my bf works right near there. We had Mango on Fire & Violet Latte. The Mango on fire is similar to another mango drink I had from the other place, with a bit spicy kicked in right on my alley.
