    Cupid's Kiss
    Alan D.

I was working in the area and saw that this tea shop was right next door. I have been to teaspoon before, so I was looking forward to this drink. I ordered on the App, so my drink was ready when I got off of work. Cupid's Kiss: This was a special drink at the time. It was strawberry and lychee tea mixed together and I enjoyed the flavor profile it has. Though the strawberry did overpower the lychee a little bit, they both still worked together. Overall, I found this drink refreshing. I do enjoy myself teaspoon here and there, and I like their new drinks the come up with. I look forward to coming back again.

Tea with boba, creamy jasmine, split silky mango

Great tea spot in WC. Extremely clean with nice benches and tables. Asked if they could split a drink for my kids and the young man working was very nice about it. I love that you can request 10% sugar also. Few tea places offer less than 25% sweetness so this is another plus. The boba is just the right chewiness. Love the fresh taste of the tea also. Convenient parking in the shopping center.

Review #006 - 2026 I've been coming to this particular location a lot lately because it's within driving distance to my daughter's gymnastics class so it's pretty much a given that she would ask for a treat after she's done with her practice. However, I do try my best not to cave in to every request. Although, it's not the easiest! Their drinks are pretty much the same as any other location, but customer service is usually pretty friendly, depending on who's working that day. The only drink that I've been highly disappointed with is their hot matcha latte because it straight up tasted like I was drinking hot milk with some left over matcha from yesterday. I don't know if they make it this way every time, but I am too afraid to order it again just to pay for a drink that I would end up tossing the second time around. I do love that they are always up-to-date on their holiday decorations, as you can probably tell from all of my drink photos. It definitely makes one want to come back just to check out what's in store for the next holiday! I will continue to come back as long as all of my usual drinks are made according to my preference :)

Being one of my go-to chain brands, it was a no brainer to come to this location when I found myself in Walnut Creek and craving for some boba. Located in a large outdoor shopping center, there are plenty of parking spots despite the hectic amount of cars that are constantly passing through. The store itself is inviting, clean and spacious. It was approaching Easter when I visited, so they had quite a bit of cute Easter decorations up at that time. I placed an order through the app, but strangely enough it was taking a bit to go through on their system. The lady behind the counter very graciously offered to make the drink for me anyways despite their system lag. Ordered a Mango Funtime Smoothie and w/ boba and really enjoyed the fresh mango used in the drink. The cold slushie hit perfectly on a hot day. Free wifi is also available here and I was able to park myself for 30mins while I got some work done.

Vietnamese coffee with additional honey boba topping

A coffee made well is a coffee worth having, and this is true of Teaspoon's new lineup of Vietnamese coffee. Bold and invigorating, these coffees look good, taste delicious, and make for a wonderful midmorning energy boost. The one Teaspoon in my area was on the other side of town, so I headed across town to get there. Parking was easy to find, and I walked into the Teaspoon. Upbeat music played, and the shop smelled wonderfully of brewed teas and sweet milks. The menu was on my right, and a kiosk for ordering was just below. The staff took my order for a Vietnamese coffee with an additional topping of honey boba. I got my coffee and headed out, eager to try it. The first sip was solid. The coffee was robust and rich, an intense flavor sweetened just enough by and balanced by the condensed milk. Dark, earthy, with notes of cream, nuts, and chocolate, my Vietnamese coffee was as good as Vietnamese coffees I've had elsewhere. The honey boba was malty and chewy, and I liked how it added fun texture to the coffee. I enjoyed my Vietnamese coffee, and I'm definitely coming back to Teaspoon to try another coffee from their lineup.

mango funtime smoothie and thai tea w boba
    Keani C.

came in on a friday afternoon. wasn't too packed so service was really fast. we got the mango funtime smoothie w boba and a classic thai tea. mango funtime smoothie was delicious and super refreshing. would def go back to get that again. the classic thai tea however was really watered down and didn't meet my expectations. i asked for light ice but it didn't seem like their was light ice. the whole drink barely had any taste and i had a hard time pin pointing the thai tea flavor. boba was hard so keep that in mind when visiting. presentation looked amazing on the other hand!!

Fantastic service from the teaspoon employees. Everyone seems super nice and accommodating! The drinks are great, I'm very happy with what they picked to substitute part of my drink with (I have a mild allergy to green tea). The place was very clean and pretty, would recommend.

We ordered boba catering for my friend Stefanie's wedding in mid-June. I made drink signs and coordinator Joseph L., his wife Susie, & staff took care of the rest. Communication through email was clear and very helpful. Delivery/drink arrangement at the venue was smooth and on time. We ordered premade sealed drinks for roughly 60 guests. They also offer a full service boba bar for more guests. Drinks: *Lemonades: Original, Strawberry, Mango *Jasmine Boba Milk Tea (most popular) *Lady Bug: Passionfruit Green Tea + Honey Boba & Lychee Jelly *Strawberry Sangria: Strawberry Black Tea + Honey Boba & Strawberry Heart Jelly Soo refreshing and much needed to keep guests cooled off while dancing all night long! I had the Lady Bug and the honey boba was cooked perfectly-- chewy/bouncy soft. We ordered less sweet and adding both lychee jelly plus boba made it too sweet for my taste (I'm a 0% sugar gal hehe). However, everyone else loved it! Thank you so much to Joseph, Susie, and all of the Walnut Creek location staff!! We'll be sure to stop by this Teaspoon the next time we're in town.

teaspoon is a cult classic in my household, but only for one drink. we only buy one thing and have never deviated from it. the strawberry colada is SOOO good. perfect balance of coconut and strawberry drizzle throughout the drink from being on the cup and the bottom. we always add lychee jelly and it's a perfect combination. absolutely love this drink

    Liquid Gold & Caramel Cream
    Emmeline W.

Teaspoon is everywhere now LOL. A plus in my eyes! Now I can get their Liquid Gold whenever I want~ Most stores are pretty much the same, minimalist decor with some basic seating. Staff are usually hardworking, polite students. LIQUID GOLD (50 sweet, less ice, with boba): Satisfies my sweet tooth! Creamy milk + floral oolong + QQ boba, always good no matter the location. Menu has the same 18 drinks + 2 seasonals. Their marshmallow-y boba is also consistently QQ and good. Most of the time I order Liquid Gold, but when I do deviate from my regular I've never had a bad drink.

This place was good but tasted like something was missing maybe because we got the coffee mixed options? Idk...Will try milk tea next time and update my post. Don't get me wrong it was good and worth a try!

I leave Whole Foods Market at the end of May and Teaspoon open. I must had lost my mind by re-locating to Berkeley. I tried out this place. I will admit this is better than Ice Monster. The selection of drinks are understand-able. The inside of Teaspoon is unique. I like how neat it looks inside. My drink was good. I am not complaining about how it taste. I will give this place a try again

New Teaspoon in Walnut Creek! It is located in the same plaza as Whole Foods down Ygnacio Valley Road. 5-stars for the aesthetic and service. The interior is brand new, modern, and sleek with a good amount of indoor seating (no outdoor seating though). The service was also really good and quick! I only had to wait a couple minutes for my drink. The employees were very helpful and kind. 3-stars because, well, I just don't think the boba is all that special here. I got their House Milk Tea and Honey Gold (oolong milk tea) and both were just "ok." The boba consistency was decent (a little chewy) and the tea flavor was average. Nothing really stood out or was special. Everything about these drinks just screamed "average." Sorry! I would love to come back and try one of their speciality drinks, which may be better and higher quality. Prices for their basic drinks are about $6.25 with boba which is typical these days. You can also adjust your sweetness and ice level. Plenty of plaza parking.

There was also a free or paid wifi option depending on the bandwidth one would need. I ordered the iced chai latte with caramel syrup and almond milk, which was a bit pricey for nearly $10. However, I will say it was delicious and made quickly. Probably the coolest thing here though was the co-working space. The front of the cafe had plenty of seating for people to talk or work. There was a hallway leading to the back room that had larger tables for bigger groups, implying more of a co-working or quieter space. Although the location is not prominent, pictures of their beautifully crafted drinks and delicious bánh mì sandwiches have been spreading across different social media platforms. So much so that they have been featured in reporting by several local media outlets. Out of curiosity, I decided to check this spot out with my brother and a couple friends on 08/29/2025. It wasn't busy when we walked in at around noon. A quick glance revealed a space that's tiny but well organized. We were greeted by Thuy, the friendly proprietor of the establishment. Since this was our first visit, it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. In the end, we each got a bánh mì sandwich and a beverage. Pricing was reasonable IMHO (see menu pic). I had the cold cut bánh mì and an iced coffee. I gave half of my sandwich to my brother, and he gave me half of his grilled chicken bánh mì in return. Both sandwiches were delicious! The baguette was excellent. It was crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside. Thuy told me later on that she gets them from Duc Huong Sandwiches, a famed Vietnamese sandwich chain in San Jose. The homemade pâté, cold cuts, and grilled chicken were all delicious, and the produce was very fresh. The iced coffee was very good as well. We chatted with Thuy extensively before and after our meal. She told us she was a banker prior to opening this café. From our conversation, I could tell she takes pride in her work. We were all very impressed by her demeanor and business acumen. Should you find yourself in downtown Walnut Creek, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. This spot came up, and although my wife and I have driven past it many times, we've never stopped in. Today, I decided to finally give it a try. After looking through the Google photos, I changed my mind and ordered a breakfast plate instead of a sandwich. Parking was a little challenging. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and had to circle the block a few times before finding a spot directly in front of the diner. When I walked in, I wasn't sure whether I should seat myself or wait to be seated. All of the waitresses appeared busy, so I stood near the entrance. Once she was available, Marianna greeted me. Initially, I wasn't a fan of being asked whether I was picking up food rather than whether I was dining in or taking out, but I quickly realized they may be accustomed to regular customers who already know the process. Since it was my first visit, I explained that I wasn't sure if I should seat myself. Personally, I think a sign near the entrance would be helpful for first-time guests. Since I was dining alone, I chose a seat at the counter and ordered the Sugar Plum Special with cheese grits and sourdough toast. While waiting for my food, I noticed something that concerned me. The staff did not appear to be wearing gloves, and I observed food being handled after touching various surfaces, including condiments, plates, glasses, and trash areas. While I understand that food service relies heavily on proper handwashing practices, I personally felt uncomfortable watching bread being handled directly by hand. I requested that my toast be handled with a utensil instead, and my request was accommodated without issue. When my food arrived, my eggs were cooked exactly as requested--scrambled hard--and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The bacon was a little saltier than I personally prefer, but that's more about my taste than the preparation. Overall, both items were flavorful. Now, let's talk about the grits. I come from a strong Southern background, and we take our grits seriously. The presentation was fantastic. The butter melting on top and the cheese looked absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the texture wasn't there on the first serving. The grits were noticeably gritty and undercooked. After a couple of bites, I sent them back and requested they be cooked a bit longer. One of the waitresses explained that customers typically need to request the grits "well done." That was surprising to me because I've always believed grits should naturally be cooked until smooth and creamy. In my opinion, that's how they're meant to be served. Thankfully, the second batch was much better. While they still could have been stirred a bit more, the texture improved significantly and was much closer to what I expected. I also want to recognize Marianna for her excellent service. She was accommodating, attentive, and handled my concerns professionally throughout the meal. Overall, I would return. The restaurant has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and an old-school diner feel that is becoming harder to find these days. It reminded me of the kind of place you'd visit after church on a Sunday morning or somewhere you'd go with your grandparents for a comforting home-cooked meal. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the welcoming environment and friendly service left a positive impression on me.

The smoothies contain dates, nuts, etc. So although they are good ingredients they can be high in fats, so it's important to know. Our smoothie also has coffee as well which we enjoy, but knowing the caffeine content would be appreciated. My last order also had huge white frozen balls that were unblended in it which was odd, I'm not quite sure what they were. If the price was lower, we would come here much more often. It is a great way to start your morning, and makes you feel fantastic afterwards.

Staff are lively and friendly. AÇAÍ SUPERFOOD BOWL: Very distinct cinnamon flavor, FYI! Pleasant but just a heads up. Otherwise so fresh & bursting with flavor. Toppings were good quality and ripe. This is a huge portion... I had to freeze half of it for the next day. My family actually sent this to me (knowing that I do Yelp... And love smoothie bowls... smh). A bit out of the way for us being located in a smaller, residential shopping mall. But great for locals!

This is one of my favorite weekend spots in the summer since it is only outside seating. Seating is shaded which is great! Parking is also pretty good on a normal day!

To start, the employee working at the cash register was super friendly and gave great suggestions on drinks and food to order based on how sweet we like things or more coffee for we may want things to be. There isn't really any indoor seating space but they did build out into the parking lot with a few picnic tables and chairs for people to stay and eat their food. While we both really enjoyed the food - both of which were recommended by the employee - the coffee was not good at all. Pro: the avocado toast that we ordered had a curried chickpea salad on top and it had a delicious flavor. That was probably my favorite bite! We also shared half order of the blueberry waffle, and it had a type of granola on top that provided some really great textures. The food certainly impressed me. Con: Both of us felt like the coffee had none of the flavor that it was supposed to have (we both ordered the cardamom maple iced latte with macadamia nut milk) and instead, it just tasted like milk. It didn't even really have a coffee forward flavor. Since this is a coffee shop that was a pretty big disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service, but would skip the coffee.
