Stopped in for a quick tea since the weather has been so beautiful for warm drinks again. I decided to get one of their new seasonal sweet potato pie fog and my husband got the banana bread fog. Now this location is inside Oxford exchange and on this particular day it was very busy so it was a little over a 20minute wait for both drinks. Waiting for our drinks I never know where to stand if all the seats are takin you just have to stand hopefully out of someone's way to get your drink lol. When our drinks were finally ready we took them to go to walk over at UT. Both drinks were perfectly heated and we always really enjoy their Banana Bread Fog that's one of our go tos but the Sweet Potato Pie Fog smelled like Sweet Potato Pie but it didn't really have the taste of it just mostly cinnamon. I stopped by the Oxford Exchange and found it extremely crowded--though as a New Yorker, I wasn't sure if that's typical for Tampa. I ordered the Blackberry Jasmine tea lemonade with light ice, and it was incredibly refreshing. However, the service experience was disappointing. I asked if my drink could be brought to me while I looked for a seat, and the waitress said yes, but it was never delivered. We have found a new love. Our second visit to TeBella but this time in Tampa. We love the knowledge about their teas and their descriptions. Rachel was so kind and understanding in answering our questions and made suggestions. I ordered the Masala Chai, which is a little peppery but I love it. And I brought home a bag of the Charleston Chai for those special days in December. You can find free parking (but watch for hours) right outside the door of TeBella and the Oxford Exchange area. Stroll in to take in the Candle making/fun alcohol bar on the right and book shop on the left, moving ahead is the coffee shop on the right and restrooms on the left then TeBella and a sitting area (which is limited) then another area that sells high end cards, book, candles, jewelry, pottery and a few things for children, etc. TeBella has some food but mostly incredible hot/cold drinks.i had a Matcha latte after being overwhelmed by the choices, my friend had the turmeric ginger tea over ice and my husband had the kukicha (a Japanese green tea made of the stems, stocks and twigs that are excluded from most other teas, very earthy and delicious) We ended up sitting against the wall in two big blue comfy chairs, my husband and I are rather small and shared a chair and our friend sat in the other chair. Let's start with service, our server was the sweetest girl I have ever met. She is so nice, and outgoing. She talked to us so much about Florida, tea, and Seattle. I even recommended my sister in law to go check out this place and she said the server was very sweet person. They have so many different tea and she recommended some of the tea for us. I got a lavender fog with no sugar in it. She was able to make it non sweet, and even suggested if I need any sugar she will make it for me again. PARKING there's a couple places to park along the perimeter of the building, but if all of those spots are filled, there is a designated lot down the street from the OE that you can park at. last time i checked, it was free, however i've never personally parked there myself. OVERALL i absolutely fell in love with tebella's MATCHA HONEY LAVENDER TEA. not sure if its a seasonal drink, but once i had a sip from my friend's i absolutely had to get my own. we had another friend try the same drink and she too had to get a drink of her own. the following weekend we all came back to OE and once again got the same drink because it was that delicious. i highly recommend trying this place out if you're ever in the OE. it's a nice place to meet up with friends or have a tea while you're waiting for your table at the OE. they have a great selection and it always smells divine when you walk by the stand. read more

Maybe it's because it's in the middle of the main saloon, when people gather and the architecture, prestigious wood walls with perimeter stairway and bold paintings make an impression on my, affecting my attention to the large, metal bins of teas lining the back wall of the TeBella counter. Luckily, my wife (who loves tea) did notice and wanted to finally try. The girls at the counter were wonderful and immediately offered us samples. I was immediately surprised. I'm a die hard coffee drinker, but this is seriously amazing. The product is exceptional and the way it is steeped must have a lot to do with the way it tastes. The buckets on the wall with the letter "R" are from their reserve collection. I'd recommend one of those for your first time visit. After a few visits here, the consistency is appreciated! The employees seem to take their time using some sort of single serve steeping device that works exceptionally well. It then dispenses the tea into small kettle or a cup with ice. My husband also go to their St. Pete location in Station house which is also really beautiful. The prices are fair for high quality tea. They have very comfortable seating (open during COVID) and very well kept. I just finished a cup of coffee when I noticed that TeBella Tea Company was giving out samples of their ginger pear tea. It sounded delicious and the sample was small so I decided to try it. It was described as hot & light and sweet. After one taste I had to buy one. It was that good and refreshing. TeBella is a loose leaf tea company located in the Oxford Exchange. It has a nice bar to sit at or you can grab one of the community chairs that surrounds the bar. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. After my purchase we chatted a bit and I learned that I should only steep black and white tea for three minutes. That explains why it tastes so bitter when I make it at home. read more

The teas here are quite expensive, around $4-5 for a 20oz. You're paying for their tea quality so not bad for pricing. We got the Florida Orange Blossom, Matcha Latte and Earl Grey Lavender Lemonade ice teas. If you are a sweet tooth like me, ask for extra raw sweetener. Makes the tea more flavorful. When you first sip this, you couldn't really taste the orange. However, you could taste the orange peel and some minty flavor afterwards. Go for this if you like a refresher drink! Their Matcha Latte is very flavorful. You could actually taste the matcha richness. They have vanilla in their latte as their sweetener so having that combination blended into the drink makes the drink more unique. For the Earl Grey Lavender Lemonade, there was more lemonade than the earl grey so I could only taste the tangy circusy taste. If you like the earl grey taste, ask them to add more into the drink or else the lemonade will just overpower it. The environment is very classy yet casual. I would go study here if I didn't live over an hour away! It's a nice place to sit back and read a good book. read more

I love the brick streets that segues from the concrete road to Oxford Exchange and gives it a historic and an old timey atmosphere with a slower pace, perfect for tea at TeBella. The owners of TeBella travel all over the world sampling high quality loose leaf tea and all 115 hand selected teas are available on their website. I've had a couple that I highly recommend, such as Earl Grey Creme, Moroccan Mint, Mango Melange and Earl Grey Lavender Lemonade! The Mango Melange is my favorite so far with dried pieces of mango, pineapple and orange. Not only is it incredibly fragrant & fruity to the point it overtakes a room whenever I open the lid, the dried fruit is also delicious to "snack" (I don't make a meal out of it because it's too expensive. lol) on, so I always pop a couple pieces of the crystallized pineapple into my mouth because it's delicious & too hard to resist. I love to add honey to my tea for a richer taste. The Earl Grey Lavender Lemonade is not sugary & lighter on the sugar with small lavender accents. Sometimes when the work grind feels loooong and in a frenzy, my coworkers and I will pull out an electric kettle to brew a cup of tea to calm our nerves; I really enjoy a moment of peace while savoring each sip. The staff earned this place five stars. They are located in the Oxford Exchange building. The staff was eager to help, answer any questions about their products, and open the tins of loose leaf tea so you can have a sniff of the aroma. They carry most varieties of tea. From oolong, darjeeling, roobios, and white teas to various types of herbal tea (I bought some Key lime ginger), you're sure to find something you like. The room they are located in is a large, airy two story room with a balcony around the 2nd floor. Lots of comfy chairs and tables to sit at. They share the space with Buddy Brew Coffee. Lots of people chatting and chilling out. If you are eating in the restaurant you can order these teas with your meal. There aren't many places that only specialize in tea, so as an avid tea drinker (2-3 cups daily), I am delighted to return to this place every time I have the chance to visit Oxford Exchange. They have a variety of fragrant teas available and I have honestly never been disappointed by any tea I have purchased here. They serve teas both hot and iced and have a range of flavors from herbal to floral or fruity. The serving sizes are decent and the place itself is a small cute counter inside Oxford Exchange. I've personally never had trouble finding seating but I do know that lines can get long and that counter can get busy, so seating may not always be available. I'm a huge fan of loose-leaf teas, and the folks at TeBella Tea Company have an amazing selection of teas and tea-brewing accessories to meet your needs. This particular boutique tea retailer is located within the spectacular new Oxford Exchange multi-vendor establishment located along Kennedy Boulevard, and directly across the street from the University of Tampa. TeBella occupies a corner of the atrium, and they can sell you small containers of loose tea for home use, as well as brew you a cup or a teapot to enjoy right there in the atrium. The folks behind the counter are super-friendly and very helpful if you're just learning that tea doesn't normally come in those nifty little white pouches from the grocery store. They will gladly explain the different types of teas, and help you select the one that appeals to you. I'm guessing they have well over 50 different types of tea available in large metal canisters, and you begin by selecting from White, Green, Black, Oolong, Herbal, Rooibos, and Mate' tea. Each has a different calming and medicinal benefit, and again your tea experts can help you sort through the options. From there you can select the different teas based upon their scents and flavors - and then try a sample to be sure that you're happy. The main TeBella store is located on Davis Island, but this location offers the "Afternoon high tea" experience at the Oxford Exchange restaurant next door. I always make it a point now to stop by TeBella whenever I'm in the Tampa area. They have a pretty decent amount of loose leaf tea to choose from all of which have a minimum of 2oz per purchase. And honestly 2oz can go a long way too. The price for the loose leaf tea will vary depending on the type of tea but in general they're all fairly price and nothing extremely expensive. And if you're in the mood for a cup of tea to sip on right away they can seep some for you as well. They have a few signature tea drinks that seem to change whenever I'm there and they always sound very good. This time around I decided to try the iced strawberry mint julep and I was not disappointed. The flavors all blended nicely together and I initially was a little hesitant to order it because I'm not a huge fan of the strong mint flavor but this one had to just enough to where it wasn't over powering. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area and you're a tea fanatic. As for the loose leaf tea I always seem to leave with 2oz of their strawberry mango so if you're in the mood for something fruity and slightly sweet I recommend that one as well. read more
