As an avid DIYer (Destroy It Yourself), I made a bad move while replacing the housing on my Nintendo Switch. I accidentally ripped the battery connector off the motherboard. Two of the five pads were also removed in the process. I reached out to a few businesses on Yelp to see if anyone can solder a new battery connector and the amount of people who tried to highball me was ridiculous. They tried to charge me the cost of a whole new motherboard. Gale, from GB Wireless, responded to me with a decent price so I drove over there the next morning they were open. Since it wasn't just a solder service but also him having to figure out where the ripped pads lead, I had to pay a little more but it was worth it. Gale was very friendly and was great at explaining what he would need to do. He gave me the estimate and said it would be ready the next day. A few hours later, I get a call saying he was able to fix it and my Switch is working perfectly. I appreciate service like this. As the customer, it just feels like they go above and beyond. I was so relieved to speak with the owner who said my phone sounded fixable, which got water spilled on the port and wasn't charging. I was limping along charging it with a wireless charger but was nervous if I didn't get it fixed it would short circuit on me. The owner told me to come in the next day when they open at 10am doe my best chance at same day repair. Said that it was likely a need for me to replace the whole frame or whatever the port is connected to. I took it in and he took a quick look and said it was likely it just needed a little cleaning, no need to replace any part and that it could be done in 15 mins. My jaw dropped. I was so glad I didn't go to a mall kiosk because the last time this happened I had to pay nearly $200 to get a whole part replaced. I replaced my MacBook battery myself and in doing so broke one of the connectors for the trackpad. I brought it to him knowing only that the trackpad didn't work and he diagnosed the issue and gave me the option to replace the cable or try to repair it. My wife's iPhone XS was totally jacked. Shattered on the back and with white bars running from top to bottom on 1/3 of the screen. Sceeen was replaced with OEM kit and the back was replaced quickly and at lower cost than Apple Store or chain phone repair shacks. Gal indicated that I could probably get away with not replacing the back of the phone but that there could be downside to this COA. Hearing a vendor recommend something that would make them less money is fairly rare and made me trust him more. Would recommend and will go back! read more

Based on the other reviews I took an iPad here for screen replacement (really just the front glass -- the display was not damaged). Dropped it off late on a Friday (this was a couple of months ago) and told him no rush, middle of the next week would be fine. He had it done on time, it seems to look and work as new. The price was reasonable -- far less than taking it to Apple. Prices will vary depending on models -- if mine had been a "bonded" screen (iPad Air and Pro models, and I think older regular iPads), it would cost more because he'd have to replace the actual display along with the glass. I will note that the owner is very casual about his whole business process, but it works because he seems very trustworthy -- we verbally agreed on a schedule and price, and said goodbye. No receipt for leaving it there. I do think drop-off receipts might be a good practice to adopt. read more

Absolutely the Very Best! My Moto G5 cellphone, after just two years, was literally coming apart at the seams as a result of a swollen battery. I took.it to Gal's shop, and Gal opened the housing in my presence, confirmed that the battery needed replacement, ordered the appropriate new battery from a local supplier, and had it fixed the next day. When I picked it up, it absolutely looked like new, with the previously split housing resealed and flat the way it should be. My "water resistant" iPhone stopped working after it got splashed by a wave at the beach, and Apple could neither fix it nor retrieve my data from it despite 2 different employees trying. But I desperately needed my 150GB worth of photos & videos, so Apple recommended an external data recovery service that was going to cost me a minimum of $600 & up to 20 days to get my data. Then I read the reviews on GB WIreless & it seemed promising, so I thought I'd give this a shot. They got me all my data within 48 hours, and then fixed my corroded motherboard within 48 hours after that, all for less than 1/3rd of the cost of the big data recovery operation that was going to take 5x as long. During the repair, I got regular updates from the owner about the progress they were making on the phone (problems they ruled out, next steps...etc.). Excellent work, good prices and most importantly a superb diagnostician. Good prices don't matter is they replace the wrong part. There are at least eight places closer to me that I could go, and over the years I have tried at least six of them. I will never take my phone to anyone but GB from now on. The others think they know what the problem is after your first sentence and don't start troubleshooting until the first part doesn't fix it. But they still charge you for the first part. And don't get me started about new problems they created. Like I said, from now on, GB Wireless is the only ones who will touch my phone. read more

Moto X Pure had water damage and although it continued to work, it would not charge. This was 2nd store I tried to get it fixed at. The first was sketchy and repair guy wasn't there but they called him and he reported it couldn't be fixed. So I take it here where I had a good feeling immediately after discussing the issue with Gal. He started troubleshooting it and said it probably would need new USB charging port and quoted me a reasonable fee. A couple hours later I come to pick it up. I dropped my iphone X this morning and got a vertical light streak in 2 places. The glass and back of my phone did not have any damage at all, only the LED screen. Gal did a wonderful job in saving the data on my iPhone when it was hit by the black screen of death. The charging port would not work and the phone would not come on. Gal determined that the motherboard on the phone was fried. Nevertheless, he was able to recover the key data on the phone for me and transferred it to my new phone at a reasonable price.
