I chatted with one of the service advisors about his recommendations on the better car makers, and was told to stay away from Hyundai/Kia, any hybrids, and any turbos, for various maintenance and longevity reasons. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to share that kind of information. After about an hour, my vehicle was was finished and I was called to the counter. They charged me $11.50 for the emissions inspection, which is the posted rate on the DPS website. Great customer service, friendly advisors, and a comfortable waiting area. I searched and searched for a mobile mechanic, read through tons of reviews. Mobile Auto Clinic was highly reviewed, so I reached out to them for service. I was really excited when they could show up the day that I got ahold of them. GGreat service! Looking at the check engine code, they determined that it was something wrong with my evap system. They replaced a part in my evap system, I am not mechanic, so can't remember what part that was on their first visit, but the cost was around $140. They assured me that the problem was fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. My check engine light came back on. I got a hold of them and they decided to replace Fuel Evaporative Canister for $488.21. They told me that all should be good to go. We'll, it wasn't. My check engine light came back on. There were a few other visits trying to determine what was going on. In those visits, one of there mechanics told me to put Vaseline on my gas cap- said that maybe it was a seal issue with my gas tank. Tried that, check engine light came back on. There were a couple of other visit fees, I even drove from SW Austin to their shop to have my truck smoked, they said that they could only do it at the shop. They didn't find any issues in the smoke test, but I do have another invoice for 555.77 for ​Replace Canister Purge Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. Again they said that problem should be fixed. Again, check engine light came back on. Next thing they did was Replace Purge Line Going to Evap Solenoid for $499.35. Again, problem fixed. Nope check engine light came back on. They came back out a couple more times- replaced some seals or something. Totally fixed this time. Nope, nope, nope. Check engine light came back on. I texted the mechanic, Ben Barchuh, to let him know that light was back on. He said that he talked to some gmc mechanics or something, and that they said that we should just replace the rest of the evap system. I told Ben that I was nervous about that cost because I am really financially strapped right now. I asked for a quote for the rest of the system before we did the work. He said that he would get it over to me, but, in the meantime, I could just clear the check engine light myself. I have no idea how to do that! We'll, it has been weeks without hearing back from Ben even though I have sent him multiple texts. I contacted the shop to let them know that Ben hadn't gotten back with me. They said that they would have him touch base with me. Still nothing weeks later. I have now been trying to get ahold of the shop, and they have stopped responding to me. Not good business. It is now the end of May 2026 and my check engine light is still on. More than a year working with them and still not fixed. I have been patient, nice, easy to work with, understanding. I've tipped the mechanics a few times on top of labor and parts costs. I'm not sure what I did to them to have them completely ghost me. Apparently, when they can't fix something and you tell them that you are broke, you are a worthless customer to them. Really makes me feel like garbage. So it seems I'm not a good enough customer for them. I really was trusting them to fix the issue- I thought that they were experts. I guess not. When they can't fix something, they completely disappear. It's unfortunate because I really liked everyone that I worked with there. I had no problem giving them the chance to fix my vehicle because they seemed so honest and kind. Stupid me. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I chose Mobile Auto Clinic because they had great reviews. It seems like many have had great experiences with them. I thought that I was having a great experience with them until they ghosted me. Very disappointing. I know that I am just one person, but maybe folks will read this to help them decide whether or not to do business with Mobile Auto Clinic. At the end, it's your decision, but this has been my experience with them. I was hoping to be a long-term customer with them, but that has been blown up. I took my 2021 Subaru to AEW in December of 2023 to have the windshield washer hose replaced. The…read morewindshield washer fluid was leaking out of the car. They determined that a rodent had eaten part of the hose! So they replaced the hose to the front washer and told me they didn't know where to route the hose to the back window washer. Kurt said it was working fine on the front window now, and I told him the back window could wait. When I got home, I popped the hood and noticed there was no washer fluid in the reservoir, so I poured the gallon of new fluid in. I went into the house to tell my wife I was home, and then came back out about 10 minutes later to discover almost all the new fluid was running out into my garage and down the driveway. I called Kurt and he said he couldn't understand how that was happening, but he would "get back with me" to arrange for an inspection. Move ahead 6 MONTHS LATER, still no call back from A&E. I try to email them through the web site they list on Yelp, and it says the web site no longer exists! I try to email him, and the email bounces back. So I place a request for service here on YELP again, and 3 or 4 other places answer, but not A&E. So my only thought is that they sold the place and it's under new management? I don't know, but they did NOT fix the problem, they never contacted me again as promised, and the did not respond to the request sent to them through YELP. I ended up fixing the problem myself for $8.00. The second line, that he did not fix and that he told me "would not matter if I don't want to use the rear window washer" had a big hole it as well. When I filled up the reservoir, the weight of the fluid in the full tank caused the water to start syphoning out through that hole in the tube - once it was low enough (i.e. almost empty), it would stop and there would be enough fluid left to wash the front windows several times. They were all very friendly the first time I visited and I thought we had a good working relationship, but it turns out they didn't want to fool with the car although they really did NOT fix my problem and I was never able to contact them again. I don't know what their problem is, but I cannot recommend them as a reliable automobile service.

Showed him the app that had my policy. He was kind enough to escort me to their waiting area. Another gentleman came in to collect my contact information and discuss different aspects of my car due to its age/mileage. Great and comfortable conversation. A 3rd gentleman came in the office to let me know my car was completed and collected payment. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Talk about service! Very policy folks that work there and quick about their service. I will be back to visit them in the future.

Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend this location. I brought my 2006 Hummer H2 in for A/C repairs and an oil change. During the visit, I was charged $210 for a basic engine air filter. I questioned the price because it seemed unusually high, but was simply told, "The price is what it is" by Johnathan. To verify the pricing, I had a male friend call the South Austin location with the exact same year, make, and model of my vehicle. They were quoted $139 for the same engine air filter. I also called other automotive shops, and their prices were significantly lower. I contacted the regional manager to ask why there was such a large pricing difference between locations. He reviewed everything and confirmed that I should have been charged $139, not $210. He agreed the Cedar Park location overcharged me and approved to refund the difference. When I mentioned what the regional manager had told me, the technician, Jason, decided to insert himself into the conversation between myself & Johnathan & argued with me in the reception area in front of 3 other male customers saying something about being cheap. while Jason was arguing with me about price I asked Johnathan did you not say the $210 was for a "basic engine air filter" which he would not answer. To make matters worse, after paying for the A/C repair, my vehicle still was not fixed. There is now a loud humming noise, there is little to no airflow on fan speeds 1 and 2, and only limited airflow on speed 3. I now have to take my vehicle back for additional repairs because the original repair was not completed correctly. Since I refuse to go back to this north location I will have to travel an hour away to get my AC fixed. To his credit, the manager who was in lunch while this was happening walked in at the end & we spoke outside. He handled the situation professionally. He refunded the air filter overcharge, reimbursed me for the window switch repair that I chose not to have completed, provided $30 additional compensation for my inconvenience to drive south & sincerely apologized. While I appreciate how the manager resolved the financial issues, the experience at the Cedar Park location was unacceptable. No customer should be spoken to or argued with in front of other customers, especially after a pricing issue that management later confirmed was valid. As someone who supported this business for years and referred many people here, I'm disappointed to say I will not return to the Cedar Park location while that technician Jason is employed there. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues so other customers do not have the same experience.
