I always come to Kwik Car for my oil changes…read more My check engine light came on yesterday before work. My code reader said it was MAF or throttle body. Was going to go to Hyundai but couldn't leave work early. Their next appt wasn't until the 20th. I called KK this morning and they were able to get me in. I thought I would have to drop it off and was prepared to be without a car. After the diagnostic they said the throttle body was dirty (even showed it to me) and explained that was what made my CE light come on. I loved their transparency throughout the process. I also opted for a coolant flush which I haven't done in all my 80k plus miles. Prices for work were still cheaper even before the 10 percent discount. The service was great and I was out in an hour or so! Thanks Kwik Kar for getting my car fixed and my weekend back! Yall always take care of me!

They have ample seating in their lobby, along with a fridge of water bottles and a restroom in a corner. They have window shades that block out sunlight so the lobby doesn't get too warm. I chatted with one of the service advisors about his recommendations on the better car makers, and was told to stay away from Hyundai/Kia, any hybrids, and any turbos, for various maintenance and longevity reasons. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to share that kind of information. After about an hour, my vehicle was was finished and I was called to the counter. They charged me $11.50 for the emissions inspection, which is the posted rate on the DPS website. Great customer service, friendly advisors, and a comfortable waiting area. I had a great experience here.

Felix (who was helping me out) looks under the hood and tells me that I'm actually good and didn't need it. I explained that had come I prior and shows him my sticker that showed I was at or very close to mileage. When I told him my maintenance light was coming on, he said he thought he knew what was up and asked if I had reset my oil maintenance light last time, and I told him I had not because I didn't know how. . He wasn't sure eithe right away, but he took out his phone and we looked at YouTube together to figure it out. Not only was Felix, honest and helpful, but he also printed out a new sticker with a more accurate due date/mileage check, checked and aired up my tires and cleaned my windshield free of charge. Felix is awesome!! well it

I went to this location for a routine oil change. During the visit, I was advised that it was time…read morefor a coolant flush, so I agreed to have that service performed as well. Shortly afterward, I developed a coolant leak. My independent mechanic diagnosed a cracked bleed screw and documented the issue. I submitted photos, invoices, and supporting information through the claims process and spent several weeks following up after the claim was initially denied and then reopened. What I found especially frustrating was that during the claim process I was told that this location does not perform coolant flushes, despite the fact that I have a receipt from this location showing that I was charged for and received a coolant flush service there. Ultimately, the claim was denied and I was responsible for the repair costs myself. What disappointed me most was not the repair bill, but the lack of accountability and the amount of time required to pursue the issue. I understand that claims can be disputed, but after providing documentation, invoices, photos, and following the process, I was left without a resolution. I would encourage customers go elsewhere or keep detailed records of any services performed and to seek a second opinion if they experience issues afterward.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated
