I had a really messed up iPad that I asked if he could fix/replace the screen. I came to him and after inspection, he concluded it had a really expensive fix. He was really honest and nice when I asked for his advice and we both agreed that I'd be better off buying a new one . He connected it to his laptop and I sold to him for parts. I used Yelp to find a repair service and received five different proposals to repair the back of my iPhone 13 promax. Despite being in a protective case the back of the phone shattered when I dropped it on a tile floor. Unless you've purchased Apple's insurance they charge over $300 to do this repair. The businesses who responded to me on Yelp all charge $200 to do the repair, however the owner of Tech Drop, Alex, was only asking $149 so I reached out to him. He's new to the business so I was somewhat skeptical, however we had a great conversation on the phone so I decided to bring my phone to him for repair. His service is drop-off only & he did an excellent job on replacing the rear glass on my phone, it looks as good as new! Thanks again Alex! PS My phone was in a highly rated case by Drop Guys, it didn't protect it! I'm now using a fully waterproof/shockproof case by Transy. In the past I always used waterproof/shock proof cases, and despite being a little bulkier I never got a scratch on any of my previous iPhones. Lesson learned! read more
