I ordered a cheeseburger combo with all the works and chose fries as my side; I didn't get a drink. It was done rather quickly; I don't think the food took up to 10 minutes to come out. I loved the whole meal; it was just amazing! The burger was seasoned well and cooked perfectly, and all of the toppings just added to the flavor and texture. The patty was thick but not dry, and the toppings added more moisture and flavor. The bun was buttered, and the whole sandwich was tied together beautifully. Also, the burger was huge and visually appealing. The fries were seasoned and completely delicious. I'm pretty sure the fries were made to order because they were piping hot and crispy when I checked my food. Overall, the experience was terrific. I tried Teddy B's after numerous recommendations from a Facebook group I'm in and it definitely lived up to the hype! The location is attached to a gas station. The inside has a few tables to sit at so it does get full fairly quickly. My only complaint was that the music was a little loud. The food here is delicious! I had a chili dog and fries. The dog was grilled and layered with a good amount of chili and cheese. My daughter got the grilled cheese that had a nicely toasted bread. The grapevine said Teddy B's is trying to get customers so they can stay afloat. I'm usually down for finding a new burger place, so I took my kids to kill two birds with one stone. Not impressed. Cramped indoor dining area, the collection of condiments (grab a bottle for your table style) featured ketchup bottles that were all 80-90% empty. The coke fountain machine has next to it the boxes of the bags of syrup used to make the soda and they were all empty or close to it. The cashier was informing everyone (unapologetically) that all the drink choices were in the cooler behind her. I saw cans of Coke, Dr. Pepper, and bottles of water. If I were thinking straight, I would've gone to the gas station that shares the building to get a soda. The aforementioned cashier was not only unapologetic, but she also rarely made eye contact and didn't smile once that I could see during the long wait for our meal. I ordered a Philly with a cup of corn as my side. The sandwich came with mayo on it, which I was glad about, but I wasn't asked about it so people who don't like mayo: watch out. One son ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of tots and the other just got a grilled cheese sandwich with no side. We decided on Mushrooms Swiss burger with bacon and tots, as well as a Chili Cheese Hotdog. Everything was made really fresh but didn't take too long. They really didn't have a huge drink option as far as sodas. I loved that it was a juicy huge burger with lots of mushrooms lettuce and cheese just like I like it. My husband ordered the chili cheese dog. Very hardy beef hot dog with plenty of sauce. Love the food was hot and fresh. Been going to Teddy Bs for quite a while now. The food is top notch. Great burgers, snacks, and specialty treats. Think burgers and hot dogs but with a Mexican flair. I bring lots of people to try it for the first time and they always love anything they order. The staff is friendly and sweet. They will know you by name if you come by often enough. The owner is a great guy. When he's on the grill, the food is even better than normal. The new dining room is fine. I don't think it's what they were hoping for, but it's still better than 3 booths inside a gas station. I love that they put their patio furniture out again. That's going to be great once the weather cools off. I love grabbing a snack and chilling outside with friends. I urge everyone to go check this place out. Teddy B's is located pretty close to where I live and I never knew how much good food was just a drive down the road!! This place is very unassuming being attached to the side of a gas station. The isn't much room to sit down and eat and they've moved all of their dining tables due to Covid so Takeout is the best option. The menu here is crazy extensive. You can buy just about anything here it feels like. The food did take a while (40 min) from when we ordered but was worth the wait. Staff was kind of brisk when I asked them a few questions since it was my first time. Choose the Bristo Burger on sourdough bread with avocado and mushrooms. Yum! Homemade ingredients and you can taste them. The Mangonada was on point, alternating levels of chamoy and mango ice. And not overdone on the amount of chamoy. Only negative was that daughter just wanted a a plain cut fruit mango cup and they ended up putting chamoy sauce all over it and couldn't make it over because they ran out mangos. The hot Cheetos on the Caliente burger tasted old. They seemed pretty stale. That ruined the whole burger for me. I didn't really enjoy the French fries either. They tasted like the frozen French fries you can buy at the grocery store. They weren't gross but I didn't even eat them bc they had no real flavor. The frito pie was decent but nothing special. We recently moved to the south side & were in the area earlier today, so decided to stop by bc we LOVE their HOMEMADE CHILI!! Chili cheese nachos & Frito Pie especially. It's been our first time returning since they renovated & did a whole upgrade. We were so disappointed to get our frito pie & realize it's Wolf Brand Chili right now. I just hope they bring back their homemade chili because that's what kept us coming back. besides that, my raspa was great! So, my wife and I visited Teddy B's after my son told us about it. First time I tried their mushroom burger with "the works", tater tots, and a pineapple agua fresca. I wasn't super impressed. "the works" masked all other flavors, and made my burger super runny. The tater tots were crisp and dry... almost too dry. The agua fresca was great! My wife had the brisket burger with no bun as she's celiac, tater tots, and a limeade She said the brisket was a little sweet, but everything else was good. So I decided to give them another try. I got the regular burger, no cheese, with mayo, lettuce and tomato, regular fries, and a soda. This time I could actually taste the meat, and it was good. The fries were very good but they were so hot I had to wait to eat them. That's actually a really good sign--they were freshly made! She got a mushroom burger with no cheese and no bun, tater tots, and cucumber agua fresca. Again, she was really pleased. So the second time was better than the first. I was very impressed that when my wife made some specific requests, the young man who took the order invited the cook to come clear up the request she had made. That was a very big +. Unfortunately, and this is my personal quirk, the music was pretty loud; the TV was also on and although the volume was set so I could hear something, the music made it difficult to understand. Call me out of step with today's younger diners. I prefer to eat somewhere where the music is audible, but I don't have to raise my voice to chat with my wife, and I don't constantly have to say "What?" If a place is loud because people are talking instead of competing with a soundtrack, I can deal with it. But if the music is so loud I can't hear my wife or the server, then the place loses points. Always Looking for a good burger place. This place is small 7 tables inside and more seating outdoors. It is attached to a Valero so you could actually go into the Valero store and then there's a side door to walk out and you're inside the burger place. My son wanted to order a root beer float, which is on the menu however their soda machine was down and the only thing they were serving today was coke. Only gave it a 4 because the cheeseburger was cheap and the quality was super high. You get a lot more for what you pay for, but the fries could be better. The fries were very soggy and didn't have good taste. I literally can get frozen Ohio potato fries from HEB and make them on my air fryer and they would taste better than the fries I got from teddys. Also, the location is horrible; I can't leave my wife and the baby alone in the car because there is a ton of homeless people around, not good. Although they did accommodate and brought the food to my vehicle. I would just recommend to make the place more family friendly (change the location) and change the fries up a bit. read more

The burgers are smash patties, without too much seasoning to override the well-cooked flavor, and the fries are well done. There isn't much room inside to dine, so grab a table outside; there are places both with and without a roof.
