The wings here are pretty good. I always get medium tossed in lemon pepper. The wings here are on the meatier side so you may want to get them cooked hard or crispy. They usually work really fast so by the time you pick up the food it's ready. Now, when you call or go in to place an order the guy that answers the phone (Teddy I guess) is not the friendliest actually he's quite rude. Teddy is super friendly! Being from Ohio and new to the area I knew I had to try this place. I'm personally not a Browns fan, but I love my Buckeyes! The decor is all BROWNS you can tell he loves the team. The delivery cars are even Brownie themed. The pizza is so yummy, cheesy and just what I wanted. The cheesy garlic bread is a must. This my 4th time at teddys. The service is always impeccable and the owner is always there- often the only one there- and working HARD. I'm not a browns fan but the decor shows serious fandom and dedication. Even his 2 delivery vehicles are browns colors. Plan to order takeout, not dine in as there is only like 1 table that I'm pretty sure is for Teddy if he gets a moment to sit. They tend to underestimate the time it takes them to prepare the food by 5-10 minutes. There's also 5-6 old arcade games to play while you wait if you want. The pizza itself is not necessarily 5 stars---- I'd compare it to an upgraded pizza hut/standard takeout that doesn't do garlic buttery crusts--- BUT the difference is the toppings. His toppings are so fresh and flavorful and they load the pizzas up, no holding back! - I compare it to Take-out because the crust and sauce don't wow me, but the good prices, good service, high quality and high density toppings, and the knowledge that I'm supporting a local business keep me coming back! read more

This is the most unprofessional place of business I have ever encountered in my life. Outside of the food being bad the customer service from the OWNER is mind blowing. I could not believe the way my boyfriend and I were being treated. On 08/31 we ordered for pick up a chicken Philly, Teddys special, wedge, and two buffalo shrimp. They called the correct order back on the phone and at pick up. When he returned home we noticed the chicken Philly was a steak Philly. When he called to notify this error the OWNER said he could not believe someone is upset b/c they received a better sandwich then started to yell at my boy friend saying " there better not be not one bite missing from the sub and he was only fixing one sub and nothing else". I could not believe what I was hearing and took the phone from him. Teddy the OWNER continued to tell me I SHOULD BE HAPPY to receive a better sandwich, people make mistakes, and the customer is wrong sometimes. In business I understand ppl do make mistake, but as a business owner you are supposed to correct those mistakes not argue the customer down or make them feel like they should be happy with that mistake b/c YOU THINK it's a better selection. Teddys pizza knowns nothing about quality food or service and I would advise people to spend their money elsewhere. With such poor service skills as who knows what's going on while the food is being prepare. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I hope no one else ever experience this. The pizza was very doughy the cheese wasn't melted they way it should be it just sat on top of a lot of dough. If you want doughy pizza like Pizza Hut then this is the place to go. Last night when I called to place my pickup order, the phone was answered with a very disheartened voice, as though it made him sad that an order was coming through. I was quoted 20-30 minutes. Knowing their tendencies for being late, especially with delivery, I left my house 35 minutes after the call. Knowing I had to drive about 15 minutes, I figured this would give then plenty of time. As I walked in the door I saw him putting my pizza in the oven. Remember, this is at least 40 minutes after I called. Silly me, I didn't check the pizza before I left. When I got it home it was completely wrong. I love Teddys pizza. He's got one of the best crusts around. Teddy's is the place to go if you want to shop local. Went during the snow storm and he was pleasant to talk to. He isn't one that's gonna give you bs, he is very straight forward a true northerner. The atmosphere is full of arcades and sports memorabilia. I ordered the 2 large special with wings. We got garlic parm and teriyaki. He warned us a head of time his garlic parm is a hot garlic parm. Which it is true it's a garlic based Buffalo with Parmesan. Also had one pizza that was a Hawaiian and another that was just pep and onion. The pizza was amazing the crust was some of the best I've had since living in the south. The cheese isn't what you get from any chain. The wings were bomb.com. We also ordered stuffed garlic bread which was like a garlic knot with cheese on the inside. This was amazing. We also ordered two frostie root beers and they were delicious. I went to Teddy's yesterday for the first time. It's pretty close by my house, so I'd meant to check them out sooner. They don't offer pizza by the slice, so I'd left the first time I'd been in there. Yesterday, though, I decided to try them out. I ordered their hot veggie sub, and it may well be the best sub I've had in Charlotte. It was kind of like a vegetarian pizza sandwich. It was huge and stuffed with all the best pickings from veggie pizzas, and smothered with sauce. It was all toasty and delicious, and the whole ticket only came to $5. The service was a little slow, and it was kind of hot in the restaurant...but overall, I was impressed with the sandwich beyond my wildest dreams. I'll definitely be back to get another...possibly, in a few minutes. They also had some big slices of homemade cake. I was trying to be conservative, but next time around, I'm grabbing a piece of that chocolate stuff. It looked moist and amazing. First timer today and I find out Teddy is from Cleveland! Not only did we grow up damn near neighbors, but he made me the best, old school, Youngstown, OH Brier Hill pizza! Sauce is sweet and tangy, pepperoni crisped perfectly, fresh green peppers, and a thin crust that would make the Mafioso Mamas cry! We ate inside even though there wasn't room to eat but we made the best of it and really enjoyed some great Pizza and the best wings in Charlotte. The pizza dough is made at the restaurant every day so you know you are getting the freshest available. The crust is not too think or too thin. Right in the middle. The wings are by far the best in Charlotte. I haven't had anything better anywhere. We did the football special two, two topping pizza's and 20 wings. Great Prices too. Teddy treats everyone who comes in the door like a best friend and he does not want his friends going away disappointed, so tell him what you want and he will do his best to see you leave happy. I've been a Teddy's customer for 10+ years ever since I first noticed his original location on The Plaza while driving home when working downtown. When that location close to my delight they moved even closer to my house. My wife and I get carryout at least 3-4 times a month. Pizza, hot dogs; pasta dinners; subs, wings are all good.. Don't go in looking for a gourmet pizza with goat cheese, pesto or sun dried tomatoes. However, for what he does Teddy is the best in the neighborhood.
