I use to come here everyday after school when I was in middle school with all my friends. It was great. The food was BOMB and the service was excellent. The lady who worked there was so loving! I went again today and the service is still great! I didn't see the same lady, but the other girls working were still good. This place is for regulars but if you're new they still welcome you with open arms. They serve breakfast, lunch, and mexican food. LOVE LOVE LOVE their breakfast burritos! Located in a good place with its own parking lot on the southeast corner of 220th I believe and main street. Super busy on the weekends, which is a good thing! means that the place is actually good. The workers are super friendly, they treat you like family which gives the place a good ambiance! Good place to come for a decently priced and good tasting breakfast! well worth it and the portions are a bit big, one plate good enough for two people sometimes. After high/middle school hours isn't a good time to go because of all the kids there, but before and after that are great times to go! After passing the place up do to the commercial growth in the area, I pull into a pretty full parking lot. Although I don't generally like breakfast burritos, I wanted something different and the breakfast burrito had GREAT reviews. At first I was skeptical that some of the reviews were unfairly influenced by how nice the lady is at the window. However when I got home I quickly realized my combo burrito was by far the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. I didn't need hot sauce, ketchup or anything else because it was not dry. I'd give them 5 stars except the service wasn't as on point as usual. They hired more staff, so I'm not sure what's going on. The same chatty and friendly Hispanic lady still works there and she was the one that took our order. She calls everyone 'babe,' which I find hilarious because it's speaks for her perky personality. Customers usually serve themselves for coffee, but this time, they have staff to deliver it for you at your own table. That seems like a great idea except when the waitress forgets that you even ordered coffee and orange juice. I had to ask her a few times to bring us our respective drinks. I've ordered their hamburgers (juicy and moist), french fries (crunchy and hot), chilli cheese fries (crispy fries and tasty chilli), and their breakfast (2 eggs, 2 sausages, and hash brown). I have nothing bad to say about their food. Yes it's greasy and yes it's fattening, but what do you expect from a fast food restaurant? This restaurant gets really busy after school with high school kids and weekend mornings with old folks and bike crews hanging around. I usually see Harleys and Ninja bikes at the parking lot. The best grease joint in Torrance. I used to go to Ted's during lunch when I used to work in Torrance. The cashier lady is the funniest ever w/ her phrase... "Hey baby, I haven't seen you in a long time." "For you baby, I'll give you a large drink." "Are you with Nissan, then no tax." The customer service is awesome. I love the place and oh yeah, the food. The food is good too. You can't expect a highest quality of food b/c it's a grease joint, but the food is good. The have really good burgers and mexican food. I was in the area and decided to stop for a quick bite to eat. Since I was ordering for 2...I ordered the chicken burrito and a turkey burger combo. I'm told the turkey burger was good, but as for my burrito...I was OKAY...very small, equivalent to a frozen burrito. I don't know that I would order it again. read more

I used to go here occasionally with friends. It is a pretty nice place to hang out at and eat some average tasting food. I wouldn't say that its the best though but there are some good deals and they do give a good amount for the price. They also give refills on drinks and the service is nice. They are always usually nice people that work there. The lady that usually works the cashier is really nice and friendly. She has always been that way towards everyone I guess. 2pm on a hot Sunday, when your go-to breakfast burrito spot was unexpectedly closed, leaving you to fend for yourself for the next few hours... And then this place happens. I found Ted's on the fly. Seriously zooming up the 110 from the disappointing lobster fest in San Pedro. Let me get to the point. Ted's doesn't look like much from the street. We were 50/50 on whether to try it or not. But hunger won out, and we hit the drive through. Ordered a breakfast burrito, the man said pull up... Wait, we said. But he never came back to the speaker. We were left wondering what was going to be in this breakfast burrito. As we got up to the window, I could see a lot of activity inside, viewing straight into the griddle area. I was trying to get someone's attention so we could confirm our order, but it took a few min. A kind and slightly sassy (in the best way possible) woman came to the window and I asked her what was in their burrito. She said bacon, sausage, egg, cheese, potato and hot sauce. Awesome, I thought, but asked her to hold the sausage. I handed her $6 and she came back a minute later and told me $6.20, but not to worry about the 20 cents. She could tell it was our first time, and she said she wanted us to promise to come back. I agreed I would, if I liked it. I tried to give her the change but she insisted. A few minutes later I was greeted with the thud of a seriously stuffed burrito in my lap. Ok, lets do this, I thought. As we drove off, the aroma started wafting. So far so good. I wrangled the paper into a safety blanket around my treasure and sank my teeth in. First bite had a little bit of everything. Bacon, egg, cheese, and perfect potato ribbons. You know the kind? A little crispy, and in the perfect proportion to everything else. This burrito was no joke. They nailed the proportions, its so important that I mention it twice. The egg didn't overwhelm the potato, or the bacon. There was a generous amount of cheese that made its way I to each bite. But not too much. My only complaint was that I didn't get a taste of that hot sauce until 3/4 of the way through. I can understand them being cautious with us first timers, and not wanting to overwhelm with spice. But damn, when that sauce hit my lips, I was wishing we hadn't already driven 10 minutes away, because I would have asked for more on the side. Soooo good. Not too spicy. Just a nice flavor that mixed perfectly with everything else inside. It's not too often I'm in Carson, but you can be sure I will do as I promised, and come back for that burrito again. I use to go here a quite a bit back in the day, that's when I was going to Carson High (which is down the street). I was always satisfied by the customer service, the lady who always took my order, had really great energy and always had a smile on her face, I wonder if she's still there (This was back in 2010/2011). I went there recently but I went through the drive thru & it was another lady who took my order. I always get the double cheeseburger combo, overall it's a solid burger joint. read more

I've been to Ted's a few times and each time happy with my choices. We have all gone to every fast food around, but I wanted to try someplace different. I first tried the Pastrami Burger which in my opinion, tasty and good. Then I've tried the Steak sandwich, which I've also enjoyed. I have complimented the Pastrami burger and the Steak sandwich with either the fries or onion rings, which both are more than enough for two. I've always been asked if I wanted ranch dressing for the fries or chili peppers. The service is great, as you can make choices like extra this or that and can I make this a combo (w/ fries and a drink). Dining area has always been clean; inside or outside. Pretty solid for what it is. I stopped here randomly while staying at my aunt's house in Carson, and had a breakfast burrito before heading off to a meeting in downtown. I was in town from Manhattan, so I honestly needed a good breakfast burrito which we don't have tons of where I live in Midtown West. It was very tasty, very warm, well priced, and well served. Went here and ordered steak and eggs, the steak was tender that I finished it fast. And I just came from a dental appointment my teeth didn't even hurt. The cashier ladies was nice, even though I was unsure of what to order. The taco was good. The gyro was filling. I ordered a lot more than I usually eat, but I somehow managed to eat them I. ted's! excellent customer service and you feel right at home. the ladies that work there call you "baby" or "sweetie". it always gets packed during lunch time, especially the weekend. i usually order the chicken strips with zucchini fries (with extra ranch). the zucchini fries are not greasy, refried twice, burnt, or shredded like other places. as for the chili cheese fries, it's not the "best" i've ever had, but it's good. i wish the chili had more meat and maybe add another type of cheese to make it a perfect dish. fries are not extra crispy, they're just right in my opinion. maybe next time i'll ask them to make me some chili cheese zucchini fries. also, breakfast is served all day! try the french toast - buttery, warm, and heaven in your mouth. overall, this place is amazing and never disappoints. support local businesses! will definitely come back again and try other things on the menu! check out the picture i posted. read more

Ted's is a Carson Staple. They have fantastic customer service. And the food is great. But...don't come here expecting something original. It's just like all the other burger joints (Tom's, Louis, Omega, Fred's, etc) with practically the same menu. I want to stress this though, the food is great! It's your classic diner fare with burgers, fried chicken, chili cheese fries, pastrami sandwiches, and breakfast combos. But they also offer a nice selection of Mexican food. It's all good, greasy, and just what you're craving. And seriously they don't mind altering something for you. What I really love is that they take card now. A few years ago they had a little ATM machine because they only accepted cash. They also do phone orders. If you're going to go through the drive through have some patience and bring a passenger with you. The intercom is pretty staticky and the window to get your food is on the left, hence the need for a passenger. The inside could probably do with some redecoration but it's clean and that's really what matters. I was originally going to get pizza, but the place closed down so hey I thought I'd give them a try. Now I went through the drive-thru (which you should note is passenger side for the window), and ordered a simple burger and fries. The wait was longer than average but I could see that were fresh cooking it so I'm cool with that. What little customer service interaction I had was friendly. The food was delicious, comparable directly to Louis' Burger. Fries are softer (not soggier) than Louis Burger and the portions are not as generous however. It's a local diner. Great food and great staff. They serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. But, I personally enjoy their Breakfast. Their food comes in good portions. I do have some issue dining in. The tables has been the same for as long as I can remember. It just needs to be a little updated. Its a great place to dine. Servers/waitress will not fail you. Have been a faithful customer of Ted's for quite a while now and thought I'd update my review. I still have my favorite, steak and eggs breakfast. I have not found anyplace that compares. Everything is cooked perfectly and to my request. I never eat hash browns except for at Ted's. They are the bomb. Eating at Ted's is like going to a friend's house. You are welcomed by the whole staff and Rosie ( the owner) is the most inviting person there. She greets you like she has known you forever!
