I love that Ted's is near my house. I just wish it were open later lol. Their burgers are reliably good. My fiance orders a burger pretty much every time we go there. I prefer their burgers over places like Steve's. I will admit that their french fries, carne asada fries, and chili cheese fries aren't as good as Louis Burger down Carson. It doesn't quite hit the spot as well, and they come off as blander than other options. But this place has one of my favorite breakfast burritos in the neighborhood. I ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito, and it was just scrumptious! Out of all of this, my favorite part about this place, over any of the other burger/diner type options, is the fact that they are just so friendly and the service is on point. Ted's is great! I live just down the street and started stopping by on the weekends to pick up breakfast burritos. Ive had their Chorizo breakfast burrito and sausage breakfast burrito and both are pretty tasty. What I love the most is the service. The lady at the drive thru/counter is super sweet and makes me feel like her grandkid, saying "hello chicos" everytime me and my boyfriend walk into the shop. Came here for lunch on a Tuesday for some burgers. I had the 1/4 lb burger combo but with grilled onions as well as regular onions (i love onions) and additional topping of mushroom. My friend had the same thing only with grilled onions. Lets just say that out of all similar burger places ive been to, this was by far the tastiest. I am not a burger aficionado but i did enjoy this burger as i would with fancy joint that sells $13 for a burger. The fries were good too. Above all, the service was great. The staff were friendly and lively, and what it seemed to me - happy to work there. I will be making another venture to this place to try something else. I am not sure when, but soon. read more

2 1/2 stars. My HS group and I are currently on a search for the best burger in the area. We're centrally located in Torrance. So we decided to give Ted's a try. Most of us ordered some type of burger while I got some chili cheese fries for everyone and I ordered an additional carne asada taco for myself (the $.99 one). I don't think any of us were too impressed with our burgers. They're a decent size, almost huge. So large. Nothing really special. Think most my guys gave the burger a 3 while I personally felt it was slightly less coming in at 2 1/2. The chili cheese fries I'd give a 2, was not impressed with them at all. The taco on the other hand, was pretty decent, I was really surprised. A good 3 especially at $.99. Definitely the best buck for your deal. So sorry Ted, but just didn't feel your burgers held up. This is my first visit, and I was very satisfied with my experience. My first impression was how clean the dining area was. No overflowing trash, the tables were all wiped down and clean. The service was great, they were very friendly and greeted me as I walked up to the counter. I ordered the Turkey Burger Combo. She asked if I wanted Ranch Dressing or Thousands Island with my French Fries. That's a plus, didn't have to ask for it. The wait time was good, I've rather wait knowing Im getting my burger and fries hot and fresh. The burger was very good, fresh, just enough dressing. Lettuce and Tomato and Onions was crisp, and fresh. The fries was properly salted and seasoned, very hot fresh from the fryer. Im surprised I have not tried this place sooner. My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid. Today was the worst service I've ever had at this place. I placed an order for two steak and eggs. After waiting for 45 mins and noticed that 5 other parties got their food before us We finally went up to the counter to ask about our food and they said ohh it's next to be cooked. The other people we were with that ordered after us had already got their food and finished it before we even got our food. They gave us all of our toast and drinks at the same time but for some reason forgot about our food. My suggestion is not to order food from the new kids that they hire. They don't train them well. I was in the area with my kids and the yelp reviews compelled me to try it. I loved the customer service! The cashier was friendly, and they came to my table twice to ensure I had what I needed from ketchup to a soda refill. What a refreshing change from other food establishments that treat customers like a nuisance. Also,very clean place. Its an awesome burger joint to hang out in and great prices for the amount of food you get. For about $5 and some change you get a nice size burger with heaping handful of fries and free refills on the soda. I couldn't finish my fries because there was just too much. The food was done right simple as that. What makes this place extra special is the lady who works there. She is sooooo awesome, makes you feel right at home and so chill. My favorite place to eat at when I am in Carson. I always get the fried zucchini because literally no one else makes it like they do. They are always fresh and breaded just right. You can never go wrong with the burger and fries also. Another favorite of mine is the chili cheese fries. The customer service is always on point they are friendly and if you are eating in they check on you constantly for refills or just asking how things are. It's so great, my family has actually been coming here for YEARS. It's nice to see familiar faces and they remember who you are if you are a regular. Back to Carson I go! Five stars for consistently good chorizo breakfast and staff service. I've been craving my Mexican breakfast and made the drive early Saturday morning. Everyone must know the food is good here because it's always packed. The ladies behind the counter are always friendly and available for anything you need at the table. We share and get the #17 and #2 with a side of fries and sometimes pancakes too. We really really like the ranch dressing, so we get the fries to dunk into the ranch dressing. Lol. I haven't been out much in about a year or so due to the Covid thing but today I went to this spot for breakfast. While it was fairly good it was also crazy expensive. I got hit $10 for a simple breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon and hash browns and toast. 10 bucks??? SERIOUSLY??? I guess if you are going to make them get up that early in the morning you are going to pay for the privilege. I first came here because my boyfriend loves breakfast food and LOVES Ted's Burger. Now, I am the one who always raves about this place! It's a chain restaurant and I'm not sure if it's family-owned, but just based on the service and the comfort food, I would consider it a "mom and pop" shop. I've only had breakfast here, so that's all I can base my review on, but I'm sure their non-breakfast foods are just as good as their breakfast foods. SERVICE Ok I have to admit. Their A+ service makes their food extraordinary. Call me biased, but service is a really big part of a dining experience. There is a lady there who is suuuuper friendly, and makes you feel right at home. I wish I knew her name! She's always really sweet and personal with all customers. I know she's always been this nice, or at least since 7+ years ago because when my boyfriend was in high school, he was buying food (breakfast, of course) and he was short $5. He apologized and said he would have to go home, which was closeby, to get some more money before ordering. She said it was okay, and to just pay her back next time. She let him get his food, even when he didn't pay her $5 out of the $8! After my boyfriend ate, he skated home, got cash, and went back to Ted's to pay her back $5. She was surprised, and said she wasn't really expecting him to pay her back. I also think this is why my boyfriend loves this place so much, because the employees treat him so well! They don't treat him just as a customer, they treat him like family. The moral of that long story^ is that good service can go a long way, and people never really forget random acts of kindness. Just after this incident, they definitely gained 2 loyal customers. FOOD I always get a chili cheese omelette, french toast, and steal my boyfriend's steak and eggs. I always stuck with this trio because of habit I guess! I can't believe I've never tried their non-breakfast menus. Next time I will definitely need to try their non-breakfast foods. The service keeps you coming back. It's your run of the mill burger joint, the food isn't amazingly special. But the service. It's tremendous. My dad is a regular here, because he loves the service. We walk in on a weekday morning and the girls behind the counter start harassing him because he hasn't been in for such a long time. "Has it been two days already? This is getting out of hand! I think we're going to have to give you wake up calls to make sure you're coming every day!" They take your order and you proceed to choose a booth. One of the girl comes by to put some paper placemats at your booth, and hands you your sodas. Once your food is ready they come out and bring it to your table. They periodically come by to see if everything is okay, and if you'd like any free refills. They'll scold you as soon as they see you get up to throw your trash away, "Sit back down! That's not the way it works around here! You leave that for us!" Are you serious? Am I getting full restaurant service at a burger joint, in Carson no less? I once tried to leave a tip, and I almost got backhanded by the girl/server/employee -- "No, sir! This is my job. I don't do it for the tips. If you liked it, then come back tomorrow!"
