Breakfast and cheeseburgers here are delicious!! The caramel ice coffee is good but, it depends on who makes it sometimes they do not put enough coffee. Definitely pass on quesadillas and Mexican burritos not the best. The service here is amazing everyone is always friendly and attentive always checking up on you even when it's busy which is during the weekends. The only negative I have is that I wished they brought your order all at once and they bring it out as it's ready which is fresh but, now I have to wait for the other dishes for my group which sometimes can be from 2-5 minutes more. The place is always clean they have a lot of inside seating and outside another negative is that the drive through to be able to pay and get your food is located on the passenger window so sometimes you have to stretch out to be able to give your payment and get your food but, if you have someone on your passenger side you'll be fine. The parking seemed easy, for a Saturday morning / mid-day. The fried Zucchini was an excellent side order that's big enough as a meal or to share amongst 4+ people. I tried the breakfast and saw the fish/shrimp n' chips, so hadn't tried their namesake, the Burger (yet). The service is very friendly, accommodating and frequently present / proactive, it's what stands out above and beyond their peers in the category of counter service, sit down diners. I'm assuming most people / customers of Ted's Burgers don't leave tips based upon the counter service format and clientele , so, that's what makes the friendly disposition of the service providers even more impressive. For that reason, I encourage everyone who dines here and has a good experience to tip your servers 20%+, since the cost of the meal is relatively inexpensive, so the dollar amount based on a percentage isn't that high and they quite frankly deserve it and would probably be most appreciative too. read more

Went out to try a new spot for lunch and ended up here. Staff was friendly they greeted us with a "hello" took a look at the menu pretty basic just like all the other burger joints. I ordered an asada burrito dry with chips and a drink. Price was ok for my meal but still on the more expensive side. Burrito wasn't that good had no flavor the asada was too chewy and barely had any salt. chips were under cooked and barely salted. Today, we found Ted's Burgers and were pleasantly surprised by a gem of a place this is. I have never been here before, and I accidentally came in the outgoing lane of the drive thru, I thought it was odd. I guess my only complaint would be proper signage? Staff was super friendly, and they cooked my son's cheeseburger as ordered, and were speedy too. The fries were good too. The staff was all smiles and friendly. I'm not sure how we ended up here. We were all having coffee in the area, and suddenly some of us had a craving for burgers. The clientele is all over the spectrum. It definitely wasn't crowded when we got there. But then again, it was a Sunday night. It's an order-first-at-the-front-then-seat-yourself-with-your-number-and-they-bring-you-your-food-to-you kind of place. We were a group of 7, so we found the only table/booth that could fit all of us, and that was near the back by the restrooms, the other TV, and back entrance/exit. The carne asada fries were just alright. I was curious to see how they fared after finally recognizing a slowly increasing demand for them. Well.....maybe not a huge demand since most of the people who'd seek it are those who've had them from San Diego. All I can say is, they're ok, but they're just simply not the same. No place in LA beats any places in San Diego that offer carne asada fries. So, since it's genuinely impossible to find good carne asada fries in LA, I definitely won't hold it against them. The food is pretty good for a local burger place, but the customer service is what brings me here. I think everyone talks about the same lady in their reviews and literally cannot express how nice she is. She greets you once she sees you and calls you "honey" and "sweetie" and kind of treats you like you're family. She jokes around and when you leave, she says "ok have a good one and see you soon!" I like to go here because of the way she treats you. Seriously the best! Their onion rings are pretty good and their ranch is really good. I've tried their zucchini fries which are okay. They're crispy on the outside but the zucchini itself is soft. I was hoping it'd be a bit crunchier, but I'm sure the outside/batter would have gotten burnt. Their burgers are pretty good too! I've gotten the regular hamburger and avocado burger and you can't go wrong with them. There wasn't that much avocado on my avo burger though, but not a huge deal. The my make it the way you want it. I wanted just a simple cheeseburger with mustard instead of the thousand island dressing. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The burger was okay. I guess I was expecting something a little more especially for a charbroiled burger. My friend told me that the better cook was not there. I'll have to try again with the other cook. Ted's is one of those places you could drive by almost daily for several years and never think to stop and check out. That's how it was for me growing up. Ted's is right across the street from St. Philomena Church, and being a good little boy, we'd always pass by on Sundays. I never really thought about what the food was like because at the time all I ate were Carl's Jr. famous stars and Whoppers. Well, one day one of my dad's friends was over and wanted to grab some brunch. My brother and I tagged along and all of a sudden we were in that one food place next to church. What the hell are we doing here? I don't see Whoppers on the menu. This is ridiculous! I can't eat here! There's a burger place right up the street! C'mon, let's go there instea--wait. Steak and eggs? Um. Yeah, sure. I'll have some steak and eggs. And that's basically the story. We've been regulars ever since. Our picture is even on their makeshift wall-of-fame. Soon after, Ted's became our go-to spot for after church Sunday brunch. As time went on, we started to branch out and started going to more places. "Fancier" places. More varied menus. Higher quality ingredients. Fancier sounding foods. But, Ted's will always hold a special place in my heart. We're not nearly the regulars we were before. We've been to many far more impressive eateries. But, whenever we come back to Ted's for a visit, we're always greeted with such warmth and treated like long lost family. This is largely due to Rosemary, the ball-of-energy who runs the show and is as sweet a human being as you'll ever meet. She's been there for as long as I can remember going there, and she is the main reason I love this place. She's memorized my order ever since I was 10 years old. I feel bad whenever she tells us to come back soon because she misses us. It feels like your mother telling you to call more often. For Rosemary alone, this place deserves five stars. But, aside from the great service, let's talk about the food. This is very much your standard quickie diner fare. Breakfast all day. All varieties of eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. Burgers. Burgers with cheese. Burgers with bacon and avocado. Burgers of all kinds. They also have a Mexican food menu, but I have yet to venture in that direction. Not for any bad reasons; I'm just so set on my steak and eggs that I hardly have anything else. The steak isn't really "steak" but the meat normally used for carne asada. Nevertheless, it's filling and a good way to start your day. Oh, you know what? I have had the Mexican food. Well, only technically, unless you count breakfast burritos as Mexican food. The breakfast burrito is fantastic, by the way. Chorizo, eggs, bacon, hash browns and salsa wrapped in a massive tortilla. A couple other tips. There's a drive-thru, but you're better off just going inside and ordering take-out. Any other place and this would be a complaint, but Ted's gets a free pass from me. We tried the drive-thru when they first installed the system. We were at the window for 20 minutes, haha. Lastly, they don't accept credit cards, but they do have an ATM. DISHONEST RESTAURANT I was there this weekend and buy me 4 breakfast burritos 2 small drinks 2 small orange juice and 2 sides of ranch and i was over charges as you can see i dont mind spendimg money on food but i do mind mind being over charges the burritos each cost 7.29 small drink 2.39 16oz cup which i got small orange juuce 2.49 16oz cup which i got and side of ranch .25c each so my total was $46.24  so how could that be with the prices i just pointed out cus i call back and asked them for the prices so my total should had been $43.16 so where did the other 2.72 dollars came from well im not going back to the place if they overcharge people if they want to do that they should rise their prices and not steal from people. I went to Ted's this morning and ordered the breakfast special for $6.49 and two pancakes. My total was $14.54 I don't know how much I paid for two pancakes but it seems they were a bit pricey. I didn't get a receipt. The food was cold, the toast soggy and I was not impressed. Sorry to say but I wasn't impressed with the food. Let's start off with how nice the employees are here! I've never had any weird or bad vibes from any of them, even the cooks. They always smile when serving customers. There's this one special lady who calls everyone "behbeh" it's so cute! Haha So all the food that I've tried here have been really yummy. Their menu consists of breakfast items (steak and eggs, breakfast combo [eggs, hash browns, either sausage or bacon or one of each], omelettes, breakfast burritos, etc). For lunch they have the usual burgers, burritos, chili cheese fries, salads, and tacos. They even have family deals for burgers, fries and drinks for 4 people at around $16-$18.99. Not bad for a family meal for less than $20! Last I remember they had $1.49 tacos after 4pm. My personal faves are the chili cheese fries and the breakfast combos. The prices are not too bad either! I went here a few days ago because I wanted a yummy breakfast burrito and didn't want to drive far. I read the reviews before I came so that I am not too disappointed. I order a burrito with everything BUT MEAT...I was so excited to eat too and I was hungry. Well when I got home...to my surprise and after 4 bites, I tasted a piece of sausage and it was disgusting to me. I spit it out....I started looking deeper into the burrito and saw ham, and bacon as well....OH MY GOODNESS...I couldn't take it back because that day they closed at 3pm, so I ended up throwing the entire burrito away....but I will have to say, if they would have made it correct, it would have been very yummy. After 5 years it's time to revise my review. I was extremely disappointed after my most recent visit here at Ted's. I went with my son, brother, and father on a Sunday afternoon. The food seems to have gone down in quality than what it used to be. My brother got more chili and not too many French fries for his chili cheese fries. But that's fine compared to what else happened. Upon inspecting the high chairs my dad noticed they were absolutely filthy and sticky. The waitress asked if we were doing okay and he pointed out how the high chairs were filthy and she said not a single word and walked away and never came back.
