My girlfriends and I stopped here after we dropped our kids off at the theater around the quarter. We had drinks, and breakfast dishes. There were pancakes, eggs, toast, potatoes, etc. The meals were pretty decent sized. I love homemade biscuits so I got one on the side and I really liked the texture and flavor. Decor was cute with a local flare to it. The ambiance was calm and small-town-like. I did notice that some things could be a bit updated and the staff seemed burned out and overworked. I really don't even want to leave a one star ,this is my 2nd time eating here ,the 1st time my breakfast was over-cooked ,server had a nasty attitude and smell like cigarettes and cheap perfume, My 2nd visit to the little kitchen I order some fish it came out cold and under cooked ,I asked to speak to a manager because the server didn't seem to care ,so the owner came out instead ...she seem angry and also had a attitude ,I can't see them being open much longer with the way they acting with customers read more

We went to find this place for breakfast and it wasn't no longer on 4th street but we were driving around looking for alternatives and found they had moved to 104 Sala Ave, Westwego, LA 70094. I'm so glad we found them bc the food was so good and fresh. Don't sleep on this place...worth the stop. read more

This place was recommended to us but we do not recommended it. The potato salad tasted like nothing but onion, the mac and cheese was CHEAP tasting, my onion rings were ice cold. When I told the waitress about it she asked it I wanted her to take it back. I told her no because then the rest of my food would end up cold. After that the waitress never returned to our table to check on us again. When I asked for the bill the waitress just dropped it off and did not say a word, she did not even ask if we needed boxes and we had food to box up. We asked for to go boxes and the waitress never returned. After a few minutes we go up and left. When we reached the door I turned around and the waitress went to our table with a rag to clean up. I am sure this place was good at one time because it was recommended however I DO NOT recommended it. I hope the restaurant gets better for others however we will not be back. read more

We ordered a meal but they were out of it. So we ordered the Special which was definitely not special. It's a old time meal that is normally delicious but they didn't add anything to it so it was very plain and not so great. The waitress did a great job at taking of us. We love their breakfast! Service is always fast and friendly, and the food great. It's a fun, casual place.

Went in and was flat out ignored. Not sure why we couldn't get served when there was only one other table in there.

Get the Big Kick. It is the best burger in Westwego. Breakfast is solid as well, you will not be disappointed.

Great little breakfast spot. Good burgers too.. Friendly staff. Just wish they were open Saturdays.

Unexpectedly awesome fish po'boy. I was in the area for the furniture store, and decided to get something to eat. Decided upon a 10" fish po'boy and seasoned fries. The fries were great; hot, crispy, and well seasoned. BUT the po'boy was the big surprise two large thick juicy spicy catfish fillets, too big for the bun to contain. Dressing couldn't compete with the awesomeness of the fish, but was good as well, green crisp lettuce and tomato. read more

I wrote the above over two years ago. The world is closed down now. Between work and the quarantine I haven't been able to get a burger and I do love a good burger. And today finding out they did take out drive up. I was able at last to get that burger. It is as wonderful now as when I wrote the above. No matter what happens in the world. I just started going to the Little Kitchen about a month ago... Wish I had known about it sooner don't know why I didn't. Anyway I work 11 or 7 nights so when I get off I'm looking for dinner not breakfast. I'v gone several times and ordered the fish and shrimp basket and the fish basket. Every time was very very good. I ordered the fish basket this morning and I don't know what they did different if anything but it was excellent. The flavor the texture the amount of food I was so pleased I even called the restaurant to tell the cook how happy I was. A friend of mine and myself always share the basket and it's more than enough food we're both full when finished. My fiancé and I love to try new breakfast places. We stumbled upon this little place and fell in love! They have the BEST breakfast that I have ever eaten. I've been to so many places in the area and there is no comparison. The food is so fresh and you can tell everything is made from scratch. The service is awesome too! We come every week now because we can't get enough! I highly recommend giving this little gem in Westwego a try, you will not be disappointed! read more

We went here for breakfast today with family. We had 12 people total in our party. Our food came out a couple of plates at a time. There was a 35-40 minute wait from the time the first plates came out until the last plates came out. When we questioned our waitress, she informed us that the cook chose to fill a 6 meal to go order in the middle of filling our order. I asked to speak to the manager. After about 20 minutes, she came out. The manager was also the cook, I calmly explained to her about that our wait was ridiculous and that I thought the last meals should be complimentary. She told me that the problem was that we ordered too many orders of hash browns....this wasn't breakfast time, almost all of their meals come with them, what did she expect!! My brother chimed in, he got a bit loud, at that point, the manager said very ugly, that she wasn't going to listen to this, and walked away. I was speaking very nice and calmly to her, I found her reaction to be very disrespectful to me. She went into the kitchen. I talked to the waitress to see if she had discounted or comped any of the last meals, she said no, nothing was changed. I then found out that the cook/manager, is also the owner. Very poor customer relations!!!! We of course paid the bill in full, but we will not be returning to this restaurant. The food was pretty good, some things not so much. The waitresses were good and gave the best service they could. read more
