I ordered a 1/2 lb of Turkey, which was delicious, and it came with bread, onions, sauce & pickles. I made myself a sandwich, and took home half of the meat. Super convenient location, great parking, a really good amount of outdoor seating. Great setup, and the they took my order over the phone. Paid in person. Let's get to the good part...The Turkey !! Tejano Cookers is doing it right. Nearly perfect. Flavor, is out of this world, not spicy but you could see the pepper, not dry in any way. We also got 3 large brisket sandwiches and a 1/2lb to go, as well. Perfectly smoked, perfect texture. While eating EVERYONE just kept looking at each other and shaking their heads, it was so good. Wow. Great sandwiches. They only had sandwiches and Frito pies, tonight. They didn't have any of the plates mentioned in other reviews. But these sandwiches... wow. Huge. Get the Big Boy sandwich. Brisket and sausage on a huge potato bun. Think "Whataburger-sized" bun. Probably close to 3/4 of a pound of meat. Really good price for the amount of food. read more

Sandwich was very good! I ordered the brisket turkey combo sandwich. The price was crazy expensive though. With tip it was about $18 for just a sandwich. I enjoyed it, but won't go back based on the price. For a sandwich at this $ you better knock my socks off. It was very good, but not crazy good! read more

Simply don't get the hype. Got ribs, brisket and sausage. All very average in texture, flavor and appearance. See pic. Off day maybe? Service was friendly enough. I've had BBQ sandwiches from places all around the state, but Tejano's chopped beef sandwich is the best I've ever eaten! Their chopped beef is a little different from most. Rather than mixing the brisket with sauce, they serve the sauce on the side. So, the beef is flavorful and really has that smokey, barbecue taste. The sauce is a sweet sauce. It might not please everyone, but I love it. You can also get onions and pickles, if you wish. Some people grumble about the price of the sandwich, but it is BIG, with the chopped beef thick on the bun, and worth the price because of its size and its great taste. It's really like getting two sandwiches in one. The friendly service from the staff is terrific, too. The location is a little far out on Williams Drive (across from Randalls) and the increasingly heavy traffic out there makes leaving a little difficult, but it's definitely worth the trip for me. My husband and I are looking forward to trying some other menu items, but it will be hard to beat their chopped beef sandwiches! read more

I got the 3 meat plate with 2 sides (lean brisket, turkey, jalapeño sausage, mac and cheese, and creamed corn) and the wife got the Big Momma (brisket and turkey sandwich). Meats were super smoky and still moist. We liked the turkey the best but were happy with all of them. The creamed corn was a stunner, sweet corn bathed in a peppery cream gravy. Very nice people, quick service and fair price. Plenty of picnic tables to seat yourselves. Will be back. read more

I've only been here for the breakfast tacos but they are excellent. They're Barbacoa is top notch and also there Carne Gisada. I will say that the couple of times that I have gone on there in the weekends the local fire department is always getting breakfast tacos. Ask for the rest of their tacos. This morning I went up to try the new BBQ place, Tejano Cookers BBQ. I got a carne guisada taco and 1/4 lb. of point (moist side) brisket. The taco was delicious, but appeared pre-prepped and the tortilla was not warm. The meat was very tasty, and I might get one again, but it was a bit over-priced at $4.00 without any condiments available to personalize it, in my opinion. The brisket sells for $9 for a 1/4 Ib. , $12 for 1/2 lb., and $21 a lb...It's not typical to have the smaller quantities cost more in relation to the 1lb. price at any BBQ place I've ever been to. So, unless you get a full pound, you pay a premium...The brisket was tender, moist, and had a nice smoke ring, BUT the rub was so overwhelmingly salty that it disappointed. I'll probably stick with Poke-Jos for my typical order as a 1/4 lb. of brisket is only $6.25, and I like that it's not nearly as salty. However, when a heavy hankerin' strikes this place is just around the corner. We'll see. read more

Best BBQ in Georgetown. My brother and I go every Saturday for tacos, brisket, and their spicy sausage. Sides are great but the star of the show is their Brisket. It's so tender and full of flavor. It's everything you want in a bite. I also bought their SPG rub last time as was there and I am not ashamed to say I made the best ribs and pulled pork dinner that night. read more

Everything I tried was dead on Texas BBQ! Ribs, Brisket, Chicken great smoke and bark sauce not needed. Juicy lip smacking meat!!! Sauce is good sweet and tangy. One of my favorite spots to grab bbq outside of Austin. The brisket is top notch as is almost everything they serve. However the real go to here may shock you. They make AMAZING barbacoa and carne guisada. You have to get there early on the weekend to get some but the trip is 100% worth it. For the past 4 years we have been on a hunt for the best Barbecue within 30 to 40 minutes of our home. This is one of two that we frequent. Just a trailer and a couple of picnic tables. The meats are classic TX with several Mexican dishes thrown in. I especially like the Barbacoa in a taco. Good salsas, ask for 2, very small.
