Third time here but first time in a while, and have to say I like the improvements. My previous impression was I didn't get a lot of bang for my buck, but this time around, the chips and salsa were plentiful, the water was fresh cucumber in a solid decorative glass, the menu seemed to have more options, and the ability to order a pair of tacos a la carte at a fair price is just what I wanted. The service was friendly and frequent. The decor of the place is unique and interesting. And most of all, the food was fantastic. Everyone in our group of six enjoyed their meal. I can personally vouch for the brisket & queso tacos - absolutely delicious. Also, the new parking lot on the north end of bishop arts is right across the street, making it so much more easy to drive over and pop in for lunch. read more

My cousin had came into town and was really looking forward to eating her and had heard this was a great authentic Mexican restaurant. So within 5-15 minutes we received our drink orders and queso. The waiter never came back to check on us to see if we needed a refill or anything else while we wait for our meals. 45 minutes and waiter finally comes to check on us because I had to ask another waiter to let him know we needed refills and more chips. Manager comes to our table says sorry for the delay on our meal. Keep in mind it's already been 1 hour and 15mins still no food. This by far the worst service ever. I would never return. read more

My wife and I came in today, 2/25/2023 for a drink and some appetizers. We had 4 drinks and some guacamole which were great, however, the guacamole took 30 minutes and my wife's margarita took 25 minutes. We planned on coming in and relaxing and having a nice drink. The hostess staff without any previous notice stated that we needed to vacate the table and essentially close our tab because a reservation has OUR table. Weak margaritas, tasty food with small portions for the price. I went on an empty stomach, I don't drink often, am on the smaller side, and after one margarita didn't feel a thing. My boyfriend asked if they could make his stronger and they charged us for another margarita but just added a shot to the one he already had. The food was tasty and seemed good quality. The meal was more of a snack for my boyfriend and just barely filled me up. This review is not based on the food, but rather the quality of the overall experience. I came to the restaurant at 2pm on a Saturday in early June, without a reservation. Two-thirds of the tables were empty and with a total of 4 adults and 2 kids, I thought this would be an easy accommodation. However, the hostess quoted me a 30 minute wait time. When I asked why the wait, with all the empty tables, she preceded to give me a bit of an attitude and say "they are all spoken for." Neat. Maybe the restaurant is good--I can't say--but the ambivalence of the restaurant toward customers cannot be overlooked. With other options in Bishop Arts, I wouldn't waste my time walking off the beaten path to this one. read more

I was in Dallas for business in August and met up with some local friends for dinner. I was starving after travelling all day. Food was great but service was AWFUL. We waited and waited and waited. We ordered drinks and apps first. It took forever to get the drinks a little while longer to get the apps. We ate the apps and it was forever before someone came to take our order for dinner. After we ordered dinner we ordered another round of drinks while we waited on dinner and those took forever too. No one stopped to check on us or communicated any kind of wait once we were seated. We had to flag someone down to order more drinks. None of us were hungry once dinner finally came. I let my friends take my dinner home since I didn't have a microwave in my room at my hotel. We were there for well over 2 hours. We weren't in a rush by any means and it was nice to catch up but it was an awful dining experience. read more

This place is EXCELLENT! I haven't tried the burgers yet, but their tacos are absolutely quality, and feel fresh and high quality for a very reasonable price. I like the slow cooked pork taco the best. Super juicy. And with the green salsa it's pretty much the best. Which reminds me, their salsas! I feel like someone put some effort into making really good salsas that don't taste like every other Tex mex salsa. As someone who likes to eat healthy, and local as much as possible, I don't feel like I can eat out at most places. But I am happy to actually eat fast food here. read more

The menu prices online were different than when we actually were at the restaurant. Everything seemed very overpriced. Salsa, chips and guacamole were all way too salty. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and they were not what I excepted at all. The cheese inside of the enchilada tasted like a half cooked mozzarella stick. My friend got the mushroom poblano enchiladas which did taste much better. But $19 for cheese enchiladas? I was really disappointed. Also I am a vegetarian and no one ever mentioned that their salsa had chicken stock in it so that just would've been nice to know. read more

Came here on 3/13/20, I ordered the spicy smash burger, steak & chicken taco, fries, prickly pear lemonade , and queso & chips to go. I ordered the food to go at the restaurant, when I got home ( only stay 5mins away) the food was warm, burger patty was dry and over cooked, I had to re heat my queso and they only gave me a handful of chips to go with it. We went in with a prepaid Groupon and were told that because they "are having difficulties" with Groupon they are not able to honor the Groupon, despite the expiration date of February. After some friendly questioning on our part, they agreed to honor the Groupon. Everything continued downhill from there. Service was inattentive at best. Food was awesome, really, and had it not been for the rude service we would be back. I truly felt that we received bad service because we came in with a Groupon. It was clear that we were considered "cheap" or "not a good table" because of our use of the Groupon. We were prepared to leave a $20+ tip on our $30 Groupon, because we got a good deal and wanted the server to benefit. However, we left $5 because we were treated so poorly. After queso and chips were gone, the server took an extended amount of time to come take our order, though we were the only table in the restaurant. When we had finished dining we sat for 30+ minutes and had to get up from the table to ask if we were okay to go. Another 5 minutes later our server returned to let us know that "our food had been taken care of" and that we were good to go... which is a strange way to acknowledge that they had accepted our already paid for Groupon to pay for our meal. read more
