Updating my review. We've been here about a dozen times. Love the food, obviously, or we wouldn't keep coming back. Service is professional, and adequate, but also hit or miss on what you get. Today, Tuesday, 7/7, we had a reservation for a party of 4 I booked over week in advance for my wife's birthday. Received the OpenTable confirmation. Our family arrives 5 minutes early - and the manager / hostess says to us she "can't find our name and doesn't see a reservation under my name, but it's okay, we can seat you anyway", not in a very accommodating or friendly way, more as a matter of fact. As I look around to a completely empty dining room except for 3-4 tables. We are the seated at a table of 5, where she places 5 menus for the 4 of us. The server comes to us, who was actually very nice and we had no issues this evening. He asked us if we are celebrating anything, and we said yes, my wife's birthday. At the end of the meal - not one thing mentioning, or acknowledging my wife's birthday. Meanwhile, a table behind us receivers glowing firework sparkler birthday celebration dessert. What happened here Teleferic?

I think this is a very cute spot, but mainly for drinks and a few tapas. My friend and I came to try a bunch of the tapas and plates and to grab a few drinks. The drinks were pretty good, and the outside eating was a vibe. The food was a big hit or miss- the tuna tacos, octopus, and crab croquettes were good but we also got a Beef Wellington, some wagyu empanadas, and the patatas bravas which were all really salty.

I went here with a large group of people, and this was one of the few times I've ever had Spanish food. We ordered the Paella Negra and another paella I forgot the name of, as well as the crab croquetas and tuna tacos. The crab croqueta and tuna taco platos were savory and fresh small bites, while I loved the Paella Negra. It was my first time trying anything with squid ink, and between this and the other paella, I preferred the Paella Negra. Service was pretty quick, even though it was a busy night. I'd come back again with my partner for a fancy dinner.

CRAB CROQUETAS with tuna sashimi and spicy aioli is just meh. Quite bland and doughy. PULPO TELEFERIC - Grilled Spanish octopus with potato cream. That's my favorite, grilled to perfection with rich seafood freshness. PAELLA MIXTA - Pork belly, chicken, shrimp and peppers. So far the best paella I've ever had. TELEFÈRIC SANGRIA - Red wine blend well with gin, brandy, orange, lemon, mint with a touch of cinnamon. It's very refreshing. Supposed to be 5 stars but the 20% service charge is a bit letdown. Tips % shouldn't be mandatory. I like the vibes, the food, the service and everything. I will definitely give 20% tip, it doesn't have to be forced.

Been to the Walnut Creek location before and honestly was hesitant to try this one, but decided to give it a shot anyway. So glad we did. We made reservations the same day, got a great time slot, and were seated fairly quickly once our table opened up. Our waiter was very helpful throughout the meal and gave great recommendations. We ordered: Sangria Flight -- comes with 3 different drinks and they were all pretty good. Crab Croquetas -- comes with 2, but since there were 3 of us, we ordered an extra one. Glad we did because we all loved them. Might actually be one of the hubby's favorite dishes of the night. Wagyu Empanadas -- good, but the crab croquetas definitely stole the show for us. Tuna Tacos -- had a lot of avocado, which our daughter usually doesn't like in most dishes, but she surprisingly really enjoyed these. Pulpo Teleferic -- it was ok to me, but my daughter really liked it. Paella Negra (Large) -- super good and we were so glad we went with the large size. We all loved it. Overall, this location definitely exceeded our expectations and we'll absolutely be back.

Telefèric Barcelona has become one of our regular spots because every visit has been consistently good. The oysters were fresh, the gambas had so much flavor, and the octopus was tender with a nice smoky finish. The paella was easily the star of the table and had that rich imberico flavor that keeps us coming back. The restaurant has a really nice energy to it, busy but still comfortable enough to enjoy your meal and conversation. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed from start to finish.

I came here for my birthday and had a great experience. The food was flavorful, and I love the variety of tapas they offer. Portions are definitely on the smaller, bite-sized side, so I'd recommend ordering a paella if you want something more filling. We ordered the heirloom salad, grilled octopus, meatballs, Brussels sprouts, squid ink paella, and the pork and chicken paella--everything was amazing. My favorites were the grilled octopus (super soft and tender), the pork and chicken paella (more flavorful than the squid ink), and the meatballs (very juicy). The service was spectacular--attentive without being overbearing. They checked in often, refilled drinks promptly, and even asked if we wanted fresh plates. This place gets very busy during dinner, so be prepared for a wait if you don't have a reservation. I highly recommend booking ahead. The bar area is also really cute and makes it a great spot for dates or special occasions.

4.5 Stars The ambience and staff are top notch. Julio is such a polite, handsome fellow! We came for my mom's birthday and had a wonderful experience. It's pricey but everything is great quality and the plating is gorgeous. We started with the Sangria Flight ($29) - lovely. More authentic: -Jámon Iberico ($29) -Squid Ink Paella ($48) -Gambas Al Ajillo ($19) -Pan con Tomate ($8) -Pulpo Telerific ($19) Less authentic: -Tuna Tacos ($5 each) -Crab Croquetas ($5 each) I appreciate that they bring out the number of items for the number of people in your party. The churro cake and the ice cream brought at at the end were the perfect birthday treat

The service was excellent, and the staff are gorgeous. Our vegan paella was enough to serve all five of us. Hoping for more veggies next time, but it was quite well done.

Always a fantastic ambiance and vibe at Telefèric! I've been to both the Palo Alto location and this Los Gatos location a handful of times now. Made reservations for my party of 7 on a Friday evening. Super bustling, indoor and outdoor seating both available. The parking lot is pretty limited and can be difficult to land a spot when busy. We shared the crab croquetas, patatas bravas, pollo empanadas, tuna tacos, pulpo (octopus), prime wellington, kale salad (March special), and the secret paella (March special). My favorites were the crab croquetas, tuna tacos, and pulpo. For dessert, we shared the churros which were pretty good. Food came quickly, service was friendly. After eating here over 5 times now, I think the highlights for me are definitely the various tapas over the paellas/platos. Would come back for the amazing vibes!

I really enjoyed my experience at Telefèric Barcelona. The atmosphere is beautiful, and I especially loved the outdoor seating area--it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the portions were quite small for the price. Other than that, it was a wonderful dining experience with great food, a lovely ambiance, and friendly service. I would definitely visit again!

The food is good and the wait is minimal chunky only complaint is I can't hear here on a Saturday evening. It's loud, very loud. I wouldn't come here again on a Saturday. Forced gratuity is silly but okay. Paying your employees well is much better.

Ask the Community - Telefèric Barcelona

Is it possible to get the tomahawk paella without any dairy? Have dairy allergy here?

Yes they ask you if you have food allergies

Does teleferic have a regular happy hour?

Is there coffee on the menu?

I believe in the desserts menu there is coffee.

Is it reservation only or do they take walk-ins?

It's a large restaurant, particularly when they can use the outdoor seating, weather permitting. So, depending on the time of day ( I love that they are open all day!) you can easily do a walk-in.

Are the paellas shareable? Or it is enough for only one person?

It says they are for 2 people on the menu. I imagine it could serve more though.

    Do they have vegan options?

Not really. They made me a vegan paella, but it was made on a very fishy smelling pan.

Can we sit at the bar? Is the bar first come?

    Yes

    Good for kids ages 5-16?

Very loud environment, so probably not suitable for kids under 10.

Can you seat a party of 8?

Yes but look again does it worth it? The food is ok....they are charging 20% over service and it's not amizing...

Is it kid friendly for a 18 month old?

    I don't think so. It's very loud

Can you specify outdoor seating when making reservations?

Yes, you can specify indoors or patio.

    Is there a corkage fee?

Hello Jennifer, Yes. There’s a corkage fee of $25 with a maximum of 3 bottles.

    What is your corkage fee?

I would worry more about the 20% service fee plus the tip. Which would easily equal 35 to 45% more than the check

    Is the patio dog-friendly?

Yes it is! We love furry all friends

    Are there any vegan options?

Is take-out available from the los gatos location?

Yes! The paella comes with the pan that needs to be returned though

    When did this open?

    It opens today 4:30pm :)

If you're hoping to sit inside, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The service was wonderful from start to finish. My friend and I both ordered the smash burger and I've got to say it was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, DO NOT skip the bread pudding. It was a 1000/10! Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and the texture was incredible. If you're on the fence about dessert, just order it, you won't regret it. The only minor downside was that the sodas were very flat and tasted a bit syrupy. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Also, the manager came around to check up on us, to make sure we didn't have last calls right before the kitchen closed. That was considerate. We decided on ordering the... Grilled Pork Chop: bourbon marinated grilled peach compote, peach, red onion & tomato salad (4/5). The presentation was gorgeous. A Sous vide pork chop with grill marks cooked to a medium temperature. Savory and complemented with the tangy, spicy, and tart salad. A tad heavy handed on the salt for the sauce, otherwise, it was still delicious. Gnocchi Ragu: lamb bolognese, pecorino (4/5). The meat sauce was delicious. The gnocchi itself was sizeable and decent. Fries (4/5) - medium shoe string cut fries that were hot, crispy, and lightly seasoned. So fresh and right out of the deep fryer. Parkside Bread Pudding: vanilla gelato, pecan praline (4/5). This was delicious. Therese was told by the kitchen staff that they unfortunately ran out of the pecan praline when she brought it out. The glaze on the chicken went so well with the sticky rice. Butter Chicken was so flavorful and somehow light. Usually Butter Chicken is heavy but not here. Because we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us a complimentary chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and some berries. If youre looking for a variety of tasty Asian dishes at one location, good drinks, and good service in the area, give this place a try.

Every item I've tried has been delicious. The ingredients are always fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The cocktails are a huge plus (smooth, well-balanced, and a work of art!), the service is excellent, and the ambience is beautiful. Love the warm Middle Eastern vibe (makes me feel like I'm getting a glimpse of the culture). Definitely going back and want to try their brunch next! Pictures are some of the drinks and apps we had on my second visit.

Cool how it's located right next to Los Gatos Soda Works so we could just grab drinks next door after dinner. Design and ambiance was a nice blend of indoor and outdoor with plenty of seating. Lighting's immaculate outside with the soft natural sun coaxing around the redwood tree. Food's decent, not outstanding. Website says they're the same owners of Tamra, a restaurant that closed down a few years ago in Sunnyvale which we both coincidentally tried as well. The menu is actually pretty reminiscent of it. We ordered the pomegranate braised lamb shank, the confit duck pastilla, the date chermoula kufta, the Mediterranean trio, and a few cocktails. The unilateral thing that was missing from all dishes was spice. Maybe intentional, but the palate leaned into sweet and savory. The kufta was better than expected -- beefy, tender, flavorful, and great with the sweet & zesty sauces. The pastilla was the standout with fun flaky texture of the pastry and the nice warm shredded duck. The duck was seasoned well and was reminiscent of pork. The beet spread was fresh and light, the hummus was plain, the labneh was too loose imo - just tasted like Greek yogurt out of the container. Giving credit where it's due, the lamb shank was better than it was at Tamra. However, the flavors and textures all just kind of melded together so it lacked depth and interest. Had the familiarity of a basic beef stew. Onto service. Abysmal. It wasn't busy. Nobody there to greet at the door, wait staff just wandering aimlessly around, food's drop and go, took quite a while to get someone to take our order and receive our check. In a word, very transactional. If this was a pho restaurant or dim sum place, I'd be more lax about it but the service sure doesn't fit the market positioning of where this restaurant wants to be in. 3.5 overall for food. It's safe, uninspired, but very much decent. Gotta round down for the service.

All the drinks pair well with the wide range of food options on their extensive menu. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outside, plus several TVs throughout for watching sports. I ordered the Hop Holistics, a fresh, fruity Hazy IPA with a low 5.6% ABV, making it easy to enjoy more than one. I also tried the Alpha Dog West Coast IPA, which has a higher ABV and was another tasty choice, especially with my burger. I went with the smashburger and fries, and it was fantastic. Packed with flavor from the Memphis‑style BBQ sauce, avocado, and pickled red onions on a brioche bun. We were sharing it, and they even split it onto two plates for us -- a small touch we really appreciated. Only complaint was the bartender was NOT friendly at all. We felt like we were making him work. Definitely need to get someone that wants to work and not that guy! Despite this, we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and enjoy another brew.

We were driving to Santa Cruz on Memorial Day and it was such jam packed crazy peak traffic taking hours to move a mile, we decided to detour and take exit to Los Gatos. Now I've been to this cute rich neighbourhood city couple of times and enjoyed a lot. We parked at nearby garage. It was so damn now so loved the outdoor seating concept with play area for kids. My son loved running around here! Beer flight was decent, I didn't like any of the 4 beers given. We had pesto chicken sandwiche. It was not warm and tasted very normal Fried were cold and not seasoned well too. But it's great for outdoor seating and chilling with friends and family Self service , but good and drinks were super quick to arrive.

The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the conversation of the person with me so the Asian bartender helped us turn down the music a little. It wasn't until mid evening that I realized there was another bar in the back. The bartender told us the cocktails at Alter Ego were more fancy. Definitely instagramworthy! Tried two of the cocktails at Alter Ego. Overall, both have different vibes. Alter Ego is good for a more intimate dark setting date vibe. Service was pretty good at Still OG! The Asian bartender checked in several times and was really nice as well as provided some recommendations on which happy hour specials were most popular which helps since I'm indecisive. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. The music at still OG that they were playing at the time wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure they mix it up from time to time. I would love to hear some oldies!

The front was pretty full so we checked out Alter Ego first, but they were also full with nothing available until 11pm, so Still OG it was. You grab a spot yourself and then order at the bar. All cocktails are on tap, which actually ended up being great because I was between a few of them and the bartender was able to give me samples of them. We also ended up getting an order of the Chicken skewers, which were super tender and juicy. We were too late on our visit, but they do have a daily happy hour that includes some of the skewers and fries, as well as some drinks and shots. Service was super friendly and vibes and music were great! Cocktails, weren't the best since they were on tap, but still good enough! I would absolutely come back here for a drink and snack though!
