I love this place. Vibes vibes vibes! The appetizers and entrees are delicious and the ambiance is nice, dog friendly patio, Great service! Brussels sprouts are amazinggggg, spring pasta is delish and horseradish salmon is yummy.

Delicious shrimp in lettuce cups. Get this!

Great food, cold beer, shady patio, and good service. What more could you ask for? 4 stars instead of 5 because after my main server (who was great!) went on break, the young woman who replaced him was borderline rude when I asked for the check. But overall it was a nice experience, and I'll be back.

We went for Valentine's Day for their prixe fixe meal. It was a great price for all the food that you were served! Honestly, we liked the apps and salads the most. Crabcakes - tasty and loved the side salad that came with it. Beet salad - loved it! Especially with the burrata on the bottom. Ahi tuna salad - my husband really liked this! Our main dishes were sadly our least favorite. For the pasta, I feel like it was missing something... We loved the brulee! The beignets were pretty good too, but I'd definitely choose the brulee next time. Service was great on a busy night. We sat outside in a covered area with heat lamps and nice dim lighting. Overall great experience!

4.5/5 My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to sit outside on a Sunday afternoon and we were craving food that was somewhat casual without being bar / cafe food. Parkside did the trick for us! We both ordered wine since we're on a wine kick--the Chablis and a Bordeaux, which were both great. For food, I ordered the chicken salad sandwich (which is actually a little out of the norm for me) with a side salad, and my boyfriend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. They definitely didn't skimp on either sandwich! The chicken salad sandwich truly hit the spot; it was filling yet still refreshing, and I loved the balance of savory and sweet / tart with the bacon, grapes and apple pieces. My boyfriend also said his side fries were some of the best. As far as ambiance, the restaurant and patio were full and lively on a Sunday but didn't feel overly crowded or loud. It was busy, so the service was understandably a little slow, but we did wait a while to order and had to wave someone down for our check. Would definitely come back to try some dinner options!

My husband and I have been wanting to try out Los Gatos Parkside for a while- it did not disappoint. All the dishes were delicious. The pork chop was moist , avocado bruschetta great flavor, empanadas tasty. The beignets and coffee hit the stop at the end. Our server was excellent- very friendly and attentive. He gave us some good recommendations. Nice ambiance, but where we were sitting was a little noisy.

This place has the coziest ambiance, we loved the outdoor seating with plenty of plants, heat lamps, and cozy seating. We started with their cocktail drinks which were really good. I got the frozen thyme cocktail which was unique. For appetizers the short rib bites were to die for. We also enjoyed the refreshing bruschetta alongside it. For entrees I got the mushroom ravioli. It was super creamy, and i loved the butternut squash and sage flavors that are perfect for fall. My partner got the horseradish salmon, which he thought was a little dry, and a smaller portion than expected. Overall this place has good vibes and food, however the service was sub par. Our server was borderline unfriendly. We also noticed we were treated significantly differently than other tables in terms of enthusiasm and attentiveness. If the service was better, I could see this being a great place, however that aspect personally ruined our experience.

We made our Valentine's day dinner reservation a bit late this year, but still managed to get a reservation at LG Parkside for 7:45pm, even though it's later than we'd like. The restaurant was packed when we arrived 5 mins early, and people were still getting seated at 9pm! We're seated at the outdoor patio promptly. With the many flame heaters around us, it was quite cozy and not cold at all. It was just a bit noisy outside, especially when kids were running around in the sidewalk during the earlier part of our dinner. Service was prompt. Food came out shortly after we selected our options from the Valentine's Day 4 course tasting menu. My husband and I had the same first two courses. The Dungeness crab cakes starter was quite tasty and came with some lightly dressed greens with pomegranate seeds, plus a dollop of avocado mousse. It would be even better if the crab cakes were pan-fried instead of deep-fried. At least they're not oily and was mainly crab meat. So, no complains here. Since I was a super light drinker, I didn't order wine pairing for myself, but I did have a sip of each of my husband's wines, and they all paired well with their respective dishes. Our second course of sesame seared ahi tuna was presented beautifully. The tuna was seared right, and the noodles/pickles matched well with the tuna; didn't really need the aioli. For entree, I had the halibut, which was cooked well; the risotto was very creamy and cheesy, and the sauce was rich, yet not overpowering. My husband's bone-in ribeye was gigantic and I had a few bites. It was really tender. For dessert, I had the bread budding, and my husband had the beignets. Both were pretty good. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner, and the food was prepared well. Just nothing really stood out as outstanding. On the other hand, I was pretty impressed that they're able to maintain consistent solid quality, from service to food, on such a super busy night!

Parkside was impressive and I was so thankful for this local recommendation from a co-worker! She was so right to choose this place for a casual yet trendy and delicious work dinner with visitors from all across the globe! Service was authentically friendly, prompt, helpful and very gracious. The food though, was the standout. Every single dosh that our party of 8 ordered was excellent! The brussel sprouts- savory and satisfying, the hush puppies- decadent and splurge-worthy with the spicy honey and folks loved the smash burger. I had the short rib entree and the portions was large- spouse devoured the leftovers when I got home! The pasta served with it seemed def homemade too. Oh and the delicata squash dish was probably my favorite and I am craving it badly just thinking about it! Thanks Parkside I can't wait to come back!

First time coming! Delicious food and very attentive service. I appreciated the beautiful presentation of the smoked old fashioned, which my friend got. I liked their selection of non-alcoholic drinks, even if they came out of a can or bottle! The food came out quite quickly and the server was attentive to all of our food sensitivities, which I thought is rare for being such a large group.

$5 Bite - Ahi Tuna Tostada

My sister-in-law wanted to meet up downtown Los Gatos so she found Los Gatos Parkside, our first time there. Happy hour's 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (M-F) where they have $5 bites and other food items, and their cocktails are $3 off. That's a very good deal. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostada and the Tempura Green Beans. They weren't kidding about a bite. The Ahi Tuna Tostada was maybe two bites at most. It was delicious though! We sat in the patio which is nicely covered with louver ceilings and heat lamps. The ambiance was very nice since it was a beautiful day. As the sun came down, the heat lamps within the patio gave off a nice glow. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Parking can be a challenge even though they have parking lots you'd still have to walk a bit. I was lucky enough to find a spot on Montebello Way, right next to LGP since I was on crutches. This place will be our next Happy Hour spot.

Beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous interior. The outdoor seating is also lovely. Service was good but the wait between ordering your drinks, getting your drinks, ordering your food, getting your food, ordering dessert and getting your dessert was long. We got unlimited waters refilled though. We came for brunch. The menu had breakfast and lunch options, along with wines/beers, mimosas, brunch cocktails and zero-proof libations. All sounded delish. I like the variety of salads and veggies. When our entrees arrived, they were all beautifully plated. There was a delay with one of our entrees which was a slight inconvenience as we wanted to eat together but couldn't wait any longer as everyone's entrees were starting to get cold. We ordered: Country Breakfast Plate - my daughter's dish. She thought the eggs were too greasy. Grain Bowl - loved all the veggies on this plate. It was so colorful! Breakfast Sandwich - Delicious but my hubby said he wished he ordered it with the aioli on the side. It ate soggy. Smoked Turkey Sandwich - Good. Breakfast Skillet - My son devoured this! Short Rib Hash - the short rib was flavorful, and I loved the combination of veggies. Wish there was less of the hollandaise so I can taste the veggies. For the most part, we all enjoyed our meal. We all kind of agreed that the sauces (aioli, dressing, mayo, etc.) were a little heavy handed. For dessert, we shared the pear cobbler. This was so pretty when it arrived at the table. The Dulce de Leche gelato was very good! The cobbler came with a vanilla wafer-type top vs a crumble (which our waitress said it had). It looked piping hot but sadly, the pear inside wasn't warm enough. It was delicious though.

Green tea in a cute pot

Went for an impromptu lunch at the bar on a chilly Friday afternoon. I was immediately struck by the welcoming vibe of the interior, the blend of wood and stone, brick and leather. Super comfy barstools -- I hate sitting on bare metal or plastic-- these were like cushy little armchairs on stilts. The bar was well-stocked, and the menu was like the design of the building: nice, quality, pretty traditional American. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, especially Ian behind the bar, who likes to talk about rye whiskey. I went for the fried chicken sandwich with a side salad. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the batter was delicious and had an unusual seasoning blend, a little sweet, or maybe the whole piece was tossed in a honey-based sauce? The house-made pickle and a pleasant coleslaw in the sandwich made for an intriguing, though messy, experience. Side salad was simple, fresh and nicely dressed, not too much of the tangy vinaigrette. Green tea came in an appealing pot, the place setting included a nice soft cotton napkin... lots of little touches that made me feel relaxed and happy to be there. Oh, and the prices were reasonable for Los Gatos. I definitely want to go back on a date night and do dinner there.

    The Smashburger with Truffle Fries
    Marta R.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Parkside! The ambiance was amazing and the staff were so kind. We brought a cake and they kept it for us in the fridge during dinner and cut it up for us at the end of dinner. The smashburger was good but I wish the buns were more toasted (if they were toasted at all). The meat and toppings were good but the bread was underwhelming. The truffle fries were good but lacked enough truffle. I'll definitely come back but probably get something else.

    Grain bowl super fresh!

On my most recent trip, our reservation unexpectedly grew by a few people, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We really appreciated how hard they worked to make it happen! The cocktails are next level creative, delicious, and unlike anything you'll find at your average bar. My absolute favorite is the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom shot! And of course, we always order the caviar because... why not? The vibe here is everything. Whether it's girls' night, date night, or a celebration, there's always an amazing crowd. The DJ knows exactly how to read the room and keeps everyone singing along/ dancing with banger after banger. One night there was even a live saxophonist who absolutely stole the show, it made the whole experience feel so special! No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

Cool how it's located right next to Los Gatos Soda Works so we could just grab drinks next door after dinner. Design and ambiance was a nice blend of indoor and outdoor with plenty of seating. Lighting's immaculate outside with the soft natural sun coaxing around the redwood tree. Food's decent, not outstanding. Website says they're the same owners of Tamra, a restaurant that closed down a few years ago in Sunnyvale which we both coincidentally tried as well. The menu is actually pretty reminiscent of it. We ordered the pomegranate braised lamb shank, the confit duck pastilla, the date chermoula kufta, the Mediterranean trio, and a few cocktails. The unilateral thing that was missing from all dishes was spice. Maybe intentional, but the palate leaned into sweet and savory. The kufta was better than expected -- beefy, tender, flavorful, and great with the sweet & zesty sauces. The pastilla was the standout with fun flaky texture of the pastry and the nice warm shredded duck. The duck was seasoned well and was reminiscent of pork. The beet spread was fresh and light, the hummus was plain, the labneh was too loose imo - just tasted like Greek yogurt out of the container. Giving credit where it's due, the lamb shank was better than it was at Tamra. However, the flavors and textures all just kind of melded together so it lacked depth and interest. Had the familiarity of a basic beef stew. Onto service. Abysmal. It wasn't busy. Nobody there to greet at the door, wait staff just wandering aimlessly around, food's drop and go, took quite a while to get someone to take our order and receive our check. In a word, very transactional. If this was a pho restaurant or dim sum place, I'd be more lax about it but the service sure doesn't fit the market positioning of where this restaurant wants to be in. 3.5 overall for food. It's safe, uninspired, but very much decent. Gotta round down for the service.

All the drinks pair well with the wide range of food options on their extensive menu. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outside, plus several TVs throughout for watching sports. I ordered the Hop Holistics, a fresh, fruity Hazy IPA with a low 5.6% ABV, making it easy to enjoy more than one. I also tried the Alpha Dog West Coast IPA, which has a higher ABV and was another tasty choice, especially with my burger. I went with the smashburger and fries, and it was fantastic. Packed with flavor from the Memphis‑style BBQ sauce, avocado, and pickled red onions on a brioche bun. We were sharing it, and they even split it onto two plates for us -- a small touch we really appreciated. Only complaint was the bartender was NOT friendly at all. We felt like we were making him work. Definitely need to get someone that wants to work and not that guy! Despite this, we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and enjoy another brew.

We were driving to Santa Cruz on Memorial Day and it was such jam packed crazy peak traffic taking hours to move a mile, we decided to detour and take exit to Los Gatos. Now I've been to this cute rich neighbourhood city couple of times and enjoyed a lot. We parked at nearby garage. It was so damn now so loved the outdoor seating concept with play area for kids. My son loved running around here! Beer flight was decent, I didn't like any of the 4 beers given. We had pesto chicken sandwiche. It was not warm and tasted very normal Fried were cold and not seasoned well too. But it's great for outdoor seating and chilling with friends and family Self service , but good and drinks were super quick to arrive.

The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the conversation of the person with me so the Asian bartender helped us turn down the music a little. It wasn't until mid evening that I realized there was another bar in the back. The bartender told us the cocktails at Alter Ego were more fancy. Definitely instagramworthy! Tried two of the cocktails at Alter Ego. Overall, both have different vibes. Alter Ego is good for a more intimate dark setting date vibe. Service was pretty good at Still OG! The Asian bartender checked in several times and was really nice as well as provided some recommendations on which happy hour specials were most popular which helps since I'm indecisive. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. The music at still OG that they were playing at the time wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure they mix it up from time to time. I would love to hear some oldies!

The front was pretty full so we checked out Alter Ego first, but they were also full with nothing available until 11pm, so Still OG it was. You grab a spot yourself and then order at the bar. All cocktails are on tap, which actually ended up being great because I was between a few of them and the bartender was able to give me samples of them. We also ended up getting an order of the Chicken skewers, which were super tender and juicy. We were too late on our visit, but they do have a daily happy hour that includes some of the skewers and fries, as well as some drinks and shots. Service was super friendly and vibes and music were great! Cocktails, weren't the best since they were on tap, but still good enough! I would absolutely come back here for a drink and snack though!
