The menu has a good handful of small bites and few larger options like salads and sandwiches. I've tried a few things and really liked the fried chicken slider, short rib taco, and ahi tuna tostada, as well as the regular portion smashburger. The tostada is a little small, but there's plenty of ahi on it and it really hits the spot. The happy hour menu has some select wines and cocktails available, but you can order anything from the regular menu at a discount, which I ended up doing last time I was in. They also have some beers and liquor flights. This spot has such a cool vibe, it feels very homey and gives me an East coast nautical feel looks-wise, but the vibes are upbeat and fun with the service and the music playing. There is mostly only street parking, though nearby there are some parking lots and a underground parking garage just a short walk away. The inside has booth seating and standard table seating. A nice bar area with engaging and friendly bartenders. Two separate women's restrooms and one multi-user men's restroom. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding! The hostess was helpful and welcoming who promptly brought us to our table and recommended some of her favorites. Our server was Therese who took excellent care of us. She was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Also, the manager came around to check up on us, to make sure we didn't have last calls right before the kitchen closed. That was considerate. We decided on ordering the... Grilled Pork Chop: bourbon marinated grilled peach compote, peach, red onion & tomato salad (4/5). The presentation was gorgeous. A Sous vide pork chop with grill marks cooked to a medium temperature. Savory and complemented with the tangy, spicy, and tart salad. A tad heavy handed on the salt for the sauce, otherwise, it was still delicious. Gnocchi Ragu: lamb bolognese, pecorino (4/5). The meat sauce was delicious. The gnocchi itself was sizeable and decent. Fries (4/5) - medium shoe string cut fries that were hot, crispy, and lightly seasoned. So fresh and right out of the deep fryer. Parkside Bread Pudding: vanilla gelato, pecan praline (4/5). This was delicious. Therese was told by the kitchen staff that they unfortunately ran out of the pecan praline when she brought it out. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, DO NOT skip the bread pudding. It was a 1000/10! Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and the texture was incredible. We made our Valentine's day dinner reservation a bit late this year, but still managed to get a reservation at LG Parkside for 7:45pm, even though it's later than we'd like. The restaurant was packed when we arrived 5 mins early, and people were still getting seated at 9pm! We're seated at the outdoor patio promptly. With the many flame heaters around us, it was quite cozy and not cold at all. It was just a bit noisy outside, especially when kids were running around in the sidewalk during the earlier part of our dinner. Service was prompt. Food came out shortly after we selected our options from the Valentine's Day 4 course tasting menu. My husband and I had the same first two courses. The Dungeness crab cakes starter was quite tasty and came with some lightly dressed greens with pomegranate seeds, plus a dollop of avocado mousse. It would be even better if the crab cakes were pan-fried instead of deep-fried. At least they're not oily and was mainly crab meat. So, no complains here. Since I was a super light drinker, I didn't order wine pairing for myself, but I did have a sip of each of my husband's wines, and they all paired well with their respective dishes. Our second course of sesame seared ahi tuna was presented beautifully. The tuna was seared right, and the noodles/pickles matched well with the tuna; didn't really need the aioli. For entree, I had the halibut, which was cooked well; the risotto was very creamy and cheesy, and the sauce was rich, yet not overpowering. My husband's bone-in ribeye was gigantic and I had a few bites. It was really tender. For dessert, I had the bread budding, and my husband had the beignets. Both were pretty good. Happy hour's 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (M-F) where they have $5 bites and other food items, and their cocktails are $3 off. That's a very good deal. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostada and the Tempura Green Beans. They weren't kidding about a bite. The Ahi Tuna Tostada was maybe two bites at most. It was delicious though! We sat in the patio which is nicely covered with louver ceilings and heat lamps. The ambiance was very nice since it was a beautiful day. As the sun came down, the heat lamps within the patio gave off a nice glow. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Parking can be a challenge even though they have parking lots you'd still have to walk a bit. I was lucky enough to find a spot on Montebello Way, right next to LGP since I was on crutches. This is a great spot for drinks or a meal. I've been there for their happy hour and you can get excellent discounts on wine, drinks, and small plates to proper meals. Their menu is small but each item is intentional and clearly has a lot of thought put into it I went there for brunch this weekend and I loved everything. They have a great loaded chicken salad sandwich with avocado and bacon. It comes on its own if you're not feeling super hungry, but of course I opted to add a very generously sized pile of show string fries to my meal. We tried 4 of their brunch cocktails and all of them were excellent; the basil punch, Hugo spritz, peach Bellini, and another drink that I can't remember the name of that had gin. All of the cocktails were well balanced with bright citrus, a decent amount of liquor, and not too sweet. My favorite was the basil punch, which tasted like a very elevated limeade. Definitely recommend sitting on their large patio, the restaurant is called park side for a reason! If it's too hot or one of the few rainy days in California, they have ample seating inside as well. They came with a side of ketchup as well as aioli * Hushpuppies - These were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the creamy sauce dip this came with. I wouldn't say these were my favorite but not bad to try * Fried chicken slider - I felt this one was my least favorite. The buns were a little thick compared to the patty so you could not get as much flavor in every bite Overall, I had a really good experience and would definitely go back.
