I had taken my car here plenty of times in the past with zero issues. However this time was very much different and i'm very disappointed in the way this was handled and i truly believe it was Jeff that was main cause for most of it. I took my chevy cruze here for coolant issues (known for the car cool, not an issue) however i waited 3 days for my car to be completed. Marcus had called me told me what they had done and i would be able to pick it up with no issues. however not the case... When i arrived to pick up my car the check engine light was on. No, it was not on prior when i brought it in. I also have several witnesses to this as well as had recently gotten one taken care of prior to going to telle. I returned inside to ask about it and marcus said "it was just throwing emissions". I am not a car person and had no idea what this meant as a single female. I asked why i was not informed of this and to show me the code that says "it's just emissions", again i didn't know what that meant and hoped to have it explained to me rather then just be sent on my way with a potentially still broke down car. I requested the codes be ran again and as you can see in the images it was infact something to do with the cooling system. So not only did Marcus attempt to lie to me, after paying almost $800, he had no intentions of letting me know that so i could've paid whatever to have it fixed. Very disappointing. Marcus said the technician didn't pass that along to him. I asked to speak to the technician, Christian, about what the code means and he said this was not allowed. Understandable however, customers are not allowed to talk to technicians but your technicians fail to give your front desk guys the full details ??? i then asked to speak to Jeff, store manager, who was beyond rude and absolutely less than helpful. He completely dismissed me and the fact I had been a loyal customer at this location for years. Come to find out after picking up the car, Christian had failed to plug in a portion of the cooling system to clear that. He'd probably be better off doing oil changes at walmart. I did not go in to pick up my car due to the lack of customer service on Jeff's part. I had my friend go get the car. Marcus was extremely nice and explained everything to my friend in a nice way however, Jeff was once again EXTREMELY rude to my friend while picking up the car. Marcus was mentioning the pieces that were warranted and my friend had mentioned Jeff being rude and hateful saying "yep she didn't pay for that" and "oh yeah she should've paid for that too huh" the unnecessary comments were completely uncalled for. I truly believe that marcus wanted to help as he mentioned his daughter had the same issues with her car. I felt as though my frustration was at the wrong person, the store manager is the one who sets the tone for service and this was ridiculous. I have never been disappointed in this place before and Jeff should really work on his customer service skills. In the event i chose to use this shop again due to warranted pieces... I hope Jeff learns to respect and learn honestly with his customers. I'm giving two stars because Marcus was respectful to me and my friend, Apologizes to Marcus as it was not his fault and rather Jeff and Christian. read more

Shady place to work and take vehicles to for work they have a bad group in there at shady tire and let's just say they'll rob you blind of your belongings and spirit when i started there I loved my Job like the management and coworkers and after they got they fired one of them and transferred another one to the other store it all went down here my vehicle got damaged buy Russell hottel they swept that underneath the rug also stolen my stuf outta my tool box and my drinks multiple times I caught 3 employees smoking weed in the back room last Friday and got fired this Friday because I found out about it and said something to my manager and instead taking care of the issue they fired my blake Newport and Russell hottel and Joe the new guys were too busy getting high to even pay attention that a customer was up from paiently waiting and didn't realize they smelt the weed on them also I later found out I'm sure this doesn't matter in most eyes but being high and driving cats or working on them isn't a smart idea for a worked or a employer for that part but lesson learned read more

I've starting taking both of my my cars to Telle Tire at the advice of a buddy. I go to the Telle Tire on Republic Rd. In Springfield, Mo.. ive had nothing but Amazing experiences! Ive put tires on both of my cars. Taken both of my vehicles in for major repairs. Staff is amazing , the techs don't BS you. If there is a major problem with your vehicle, they'll take you into the garage and show you the problem. If you're a Military Veteran don't be afraid to take advantage of it! I've never, ever seen an auto repair shop offer a Veteran discount!!! I'll never take my any of my vehicles anywhere else... I've started refering my family and friends to Telle Tire.. I'm not why there are so many negative reviews??? Maybe they're butt hurt because they weren't available to get the part in for a few days or they wanted them to snap their fingers and expect their fingers and have the job done imnediately.... My husband and I always take our car here but recently we took our second car in. This was during covid and there were multiple things going on with the car since we hadn't driven it. Not only were they friendly and clean but the price was better than anywhere else we could have went. They were understanding and didn't take advantage of us. So a little more info on my visit- we come in for a estimate for my car shaking - i suspected the motor mounts. They don't say anything about a charge. I figured they were going to look at the motor mounts and give me a quote. They did a 61 point inspection and charge me $107. They didn't say anything about any other part of the car. Now I don't expect people to work for free - just to be upfront. I'm not made of money and it hurt. Then they call and try to get me to change the review for a refund. No.. do the right thing for the right reason. And I'll make my own decisions accordingly. If you were thinking this isn't JBC like I was - its all the same people.. same wolf different coat. All they had to say was their will be a $107 charge and i would have said - let's schedule it for next week please. read more

I dropped my Jeep off Saturday morning at 9am. I work out of town for the week and it was agreed that I would pick it up Friday. This place is open 7 days a week, and the repairs I was having done did not require special order parts and were not terribly difficult repairs. 1st estimate 508.00, I say ok fix it. They call back 5 minutes later saying that one of my tires is low on tread on the inner side. I say fix it new total 636. They call back later telling me they have to get bearings pressed and the repairs are now 1386. I'm obviously not happy but I did not yell and said fix it, but I can't afford more than that right now. They call back 5 minutes later saying the bearings are ok but my brakes are bad, new total 752. At this point I've lost all faith. This all occurred on Monday. Thursday I find out I'm going to be in town early so I call to see if I can pick up my car. It isn't ready yet and the technician that was working on it is off that day. They won't put anyone else on it. I tried calling them back and an employee said he would have someone return my call. I waited 4 hours for a call back and when I did talk to them regarding what time it would be ready on Friday they were amazingly rude. My car was not fully ready until 11am on Friday. They had it 6 days. They are unprofessional, rude on the phone and DO NOT honor the Yelp offer shown on here for 10% off total bill. I would rather set my car on fire than take it back to this sorry excuse for a shop. Not once did I go full 'Karen' on them, but I really wanted to read more

The first time I took my vehicle here they charged me over $100 for an oil change and then told me my battery was completely shot and that they were shocked that the car made it here which was another $150. I went home and was digging through my paperwork when I discovered that the battery that was in the car was replaced by the previous owner six months prior. The battery should've been in good shape. I came to this location again because I was in a time crunch and I was hoping to get in and out fast. This time I just needed an oil change and six spark plugs which are very simple to do on my car normally I would do that myself in fact. I was quoted $397 for spark plugs and oil change. The funniest part about this is if you price the parts that they were going to put on my car it would cost you about $20 for the oil and filter at Walmart and about $25 for the spark plugs. Keep in mind that they get it cheaper than we can buy at Walmart which means they probably spend more like 30 or $35 on these parts. That means that $360 is the price of them putting them In! Needless to say I turned and walked out. This has to be the most expensive shop on the planet. If you go here you are either clinically insane or have no idea how bad you're getting it in the rear end. I will not be back. read more

If I understand correctly, the Kearney location is having issues with turnover. It's caused a host of issues with their service. After escalating issues with management/ownership, I'm sad to say there's been no resolution so far and at this point I don't expect one. Avoid this place if at all possible. read more

Can't comment on actual service, but I stopped with a low tire that needed patched over my lunch and was told it would take an hour once they started. When I questioned it, they said that's how long it physically takes to patch a tire. Wishing I was closer to home and could get it patched in 20 minutes like I'm used to! Awesome!!! I sent a car to this store to have the state safety inspection. The technician made things wrong and caused other potential damage to my car. Service at front desk was not able to know what had happened in the workshop, and the technician kept lying to both the service and me. After a long time waiting for response, they expressed that they won't be responsible for any faults or defects on their performance, and they won't compensate for any loss of mine. More interesting, the technicians slacked off when in working hours. One of them was enjoying Adult Video and the colleagues felt excited as well, seemed like animals. From the professional perspective, the qualification of the store needs to question. I cannot tell any expertise or advanced experience from these mechanics. I would doubt how could they obtain the certificates. They are just like "idiots" in terms of their capabilities and competence. You are not suggested to send the car to this store. They will kill you quietly. read more

The employees were kind, but they did not do a thorough job for what I paid for. I paid for an oil change, oil filter and air filter (big service charge for a very easy task). They did not check my coolant, brake fluid or wiper fluid levels which I realized the next day were all nearly empty. I'll be taking my business elsewhere next time. read more

We went here to have our safety inspection done. Initially the service was friendly...when the inspection was complete we had failed the inspection and they had recommended almost $1000 in repairs before it would pass...this was the first time we had a safety inspection in this state and discovered that there was no emissions test, which was my only concern for passing...we also were not accustomed to paying if it didn't pass...we went to Walmart and passed with no trouble...we were told the recommendations were not required to pass the inspection read more

I went there for a tire for my car after I had a flat. I was trying to avoid the local department store. The tire I needed was not in stock at the time, however an effort was made to find a loaner tire for my car until the new one came in. Unfortunately a loaner tire was unavailable as well. For the most part, the service for myself personally, was good. I was informed throughout the process. However I did witness the gentleman behind the counter throw multiple objects behind the counter in a fit of anger/frustration over something falling. I was very uncomfortable with this display. Wonderful place!! My family moved me to my new place in Springfield when a car next to us let us know that we had a bad tire on the trailer. The staff is very, very friendly. I go in for my oil changes frequently. Aside from this, I do not think that I will be returning. I went in for an oil change about a week ago, and JBC informed me that I had an oil leak but they didn't know where it was coming from. I paid $40 for a dye test so they could figure out the problem. I had 2 other shops tell me that they never use dye because it typically isn't that hard to find a leak. Ultimately, I chose to go to Clint's where they charged me only $140 because of a faulty gasket. Clint's also informed me that it did not appear that JBC had even put dye in my car. Obviously I can't know for sure if they didn't, it just seems sketchy. Overall, good customer service! read more

I looked on the internet and found that they do an alignment and both front end and rear end for 74.99 with a free inspection and computer print out. Further research showed that this is the going rate for Springfield, MO. They were very nice and showed me the computer print out that showed the right front and the left rear were out of line. I believed it because the tire dept of Walmart had told me that was the reason I had to replace those tires. They were "chewed up". I had a coupon from the internet for $10 for the alignment, so the final cost was $64,99. The mechanic took my car out for a test drive. I would definitely recommend this store, especially if you are a woman. read more

went to have inspection done because they were open early in the morning. they put my car through a crazy routine the likes of which i've never seen in 10 years of missouri inspections. first its up in the air for 20 minutes, then back down, then up again and all four tires removed, Mo only requires one tire to be removed for brake check. when i asked the counter guy why, he was borderline rude saying we can take as many tires off as we like. anyway after i told them to put my car back together so i could go to another shop, which they refused to do until they completed the 1 hour long inspection, usually takes 15-20 minutes, they came up with $380 worth of repairs i "needed" to pass, including brakes on all four wheels. i went straight to budget auto on east chestnut and they did a complete inspection in 20 minutes and my car passed with flying colors, no repairs needed. also all the while i was at jbc i could hear them upselling other customers shamelessly, "you really should have our fuel system cleaning done for 149.00, much better than walmart fuel treatment etc...." this is an accurate account of my experience with jbc tire on kearney, draw your own conclusions. read more
