I stumbled across this salon as I was in desperate to get my eyebrows waxed. The first time Q did a great job at keeping the shape I want and cleaning it up. Although I left with leftover wax on my brows, I was determined to come back. Second time I came back, Q did an amazing job again without leftover wax on me. I found this nail salon on yelp and I decided to give it a try, when I walked in I was greeted and helped right away, Michelle was the lady who did my nails, she was very nice and easy to talk to, I had pics of nail designs in my phone and Michelle has me loving my nails, I got a gel manicure for 35 with glitter which isn't a bad price. Everything is fine in this place when you need to make your manicure in gel or more expensive, I always go there, but last week I decided not to put more gel paint, because I want to save money and I told the person, that I wanted a manicure with normal paint and she told me that that manicure was not going to last anything that better asked for a manicure with gel, I said no! and she treated me very discourteous, I think she did not like that I did not want to spend 25 dollars and instead she spent 12 I will not go back to this place! read more

I came here for a pedicure with a friend. This is her regular spot and I'd never been here before. I got here first and was greeted as soon as I walked in. Their selection of nail polish is insane. I think they had every color possible! I fell in love with a fluorescent yellow. (I guess I was in a summery mood because of the heat!) They have the nice massaging chairs and since I was wearing a skirt the staff gave me a towel to cover my lap. I was offered water and they set us up in adjacent chairs so we were comfortable and could chat. They had three levels of pedicure from basic to deluxe ranging from $20-$30. Great if you don't want to shell out $50 like you would at a spa. I enjoyed the service and some of the staff were more outgoing than others. Im only giving them three stars because my polish chipped off after 11 days and looked horrible! I've had it last longer when I've done it myself and I'm not an expert by any means. read more

I have been going to this salon for 4 years . I had my nails done in May by the owner, at that time she said she did not know how to do chrome nails in iridescent, so I said fine and she did my nails . So I come in to get my nails done today and she said I know how to do your nails the right way now, I have the right stuff. My appointment was at 11: 00 ... her husband started my nails at 11:30.. I tell him 2 times not to cut my middle finger nail and he cuts it any ways.Then his wife starts my nails , I ask for pink iridescent nails and they were coming out silver, exactly what happened last time. So she refused to fix them and remove the gel nail polish and then charge me $25 for manicure and removing the nail polish that she just put on. I had my nails done several times and iridescent at that salon by her husband. I was there for an hour and 40 minutes and my nails did not get done and they charged me for their mistake. For the last eight months, I have been a very satisfied client at Tempe Nails and Wax under its new ownership. The current Owner/Manager and her Staff appear to be committed to providing excellent, efficient, effective customer care and service. They keep the Salon, the furnishings, and equipment meticulously clean and tools and materials sterilized and stain-free. When possible, they accommodate unscheduled walk-ins, but give priority to clients with appointments (it's possible that walk-ins wrote/posted the two 2-star "negative" reviews). Just like Yelp 5-star Reviewer Amanda M, I went to this salon for 2-3 years when managed by its previous owners simply because of its convenient location even though its customer service was abysmal. I have seen dozens of nail shops come and go from this strip center over the years. I rolled the dice on this one and am so glad that I did! Usually $22.00 gets you a basic pedi, I'm talking, no massage no bottled water nothing fancy. Basically a fancy polish change. Not here! NEW MANAGEMENT IS AMAZING. I've been going to this salon for 2-3 years for convenience but my past few experiences have been the best I've EVER had anywhere. The new owner takes pride and has started renovations, including upgrading their inventory I can't wait to see it just get better & better! The entire staff is friendly and helpful (old & new). I wasn't impressed at all with my service here. Yes the place looked clean and nice. But the nail tech that did my nails needs more practice. I had a regular manicure done. She didn't ask no questions just started working on my nails.So I stated my preferences on my own. She did not make sure my entire nail was painted (corners)and she did not clean up around my nails. There was only a little bit of paint left over not a big deal , but it still looks better once cleaned up. I had to ask for cuticle oil which I thought was included. The warm towel she rubbed on my hands smelled like it had already been used and reheated. There was no nail drying station, the small fan worked fine though. Lastly I did not like how she rinsed the Cuticle clippers in the water my nails had soaked in, wipe them off and put the cap back on them like they were personal clippers​. Maybe see properly sanitized​ them later it just didn't appear like she was going to do so. read more

I walked in with my sister to get a pedicure. We had seen this place multiple times in passing but never had the chance to stop in. Our visit started off good with various color selections and being seated almost as soon as we walked in but after that things went sour. I wanted their basic pedicure and she got their VIP pedicure. My toenails were cut crooked and the spray bottle of alcohol misted everywhere and got on my phone. My sister was basically humiliated the whole time with her technician saying her feet were so rough and commenting on other things as well (including her age even after she left, waiting for me in the car). My manicure didn't even last two hours before my nails chipped and today (two days later) my polish peeled off completely. I'm extremely disappointed and upset seeing as I paid $50 for my manicure and pedicure and they're both horrible. read more

I stopped in here for the first time today and got a perfect gel manicure from Steve! He had me in and out in less than 30 minutes - and that's including the super relaxing hand massage he gave me at the end of my manicure! He used brand new sterile tools and got the shape and length of my nails exactly the way I like them. The salon itself was very clean and looks recently updated. My experience with nail salons is relatively new... However when I walked into this salon we were immediately greeted, and offered bottle water to drink. The wait was reasonable for a walk in and the nail tech was meticulous with her manicure. It was nice to see this , especially since the manicure was for my girlfriend. The application of color on her nails was flawless and the entire time jokes were being thrown out around the salon and it was a fun atmosphere. Worth a trip to this small hole in the wall place. 2nd time here and I'm quite happy with them.. they're prices are reasonable which is amazing coming from NY and paying $8 for a regular manicure can get a girl a little discouraged when every place here charges you $15 for a crappy ass manicure. They're super accommodating where they offer you bottled water and have a nice couch for waiting area. They have an extensive nail selection including alot of OPI polishes (winning). I went to get a gel fill with gel polish and the lady kept huffing and puffing under her mask at least 5 times within the hour of doing my nails like I was the biggest inconvenience ever. She was not friendly from the get go, never smiled, never talked. She was in her 30s-40s and had long brown hair. I decided to give it a try because of all of the good reviews but I definitely won't be coming back. Also, when she filed down my nails they are all crooked and different lengths. Tonight the gel polish just started peeling off on the corner of my thumb. I've been getting my nails done for 6+ years and have never had my gel nail polish peel the night off. I went there with some friends to get our nails done before an event and got my gel nails redone. The lady used a drill to take off the gel rather than using acetone which damaged my nails. Also, I asked her for french nails assuming she would let me choose a color to go with the tips and she just put a clear coat without asking me if I wanted color and you could see the damage done to my nails. The worst part is my nail CHIPPED the day after I got them done. I have never had my gel nails chip before. And they charged my $30 for the nails when their list of prices clearly said $25 for gel nails. Very nice people that work here as always but I am not at all happy with my gel manicure. And how the owner handled a unhappy customer. Not even a week later and my gel polish was chipping and peeling off. I went back saying I wasn't happy with the polish and I wanted it removed. The nice girl working said pick a different color and I picked just nail polish cause I feel bad I'm not a complainer and not expecting a whole new gel manicure. After the new nail polish, I tip the girl and she goes to help someone else. As I'm drying the (new) owner comes up and asks me to pay for the polish change. Glad to hear she's the owner I tell her how unhappy I was with my original gel polish show her my bank statement that was literally there a week ago and how normally a gel would last me at least a week if not longer. She said sorry and proceeded to give me her sob story about how she has just taken over this place and has no help.. Then continued to want my money again. So they got my money... again. horrible I paid $40 for an herbal pedicure. all they did was put on an extra lotion that smells like menthol. the man doing my pedicure was watching TV the whole time and not paying attention to what it was doing. and then I asked them to do an ombre on my big toe and it was horrible I had to have them take it off. the quickest pedicure I've had which if I'm paying $40 I want to be relaxed and longer than 20 minutes read more

Let me start off by saying, I normally do not take time out of my day to post reviews but I had to with this (so that should tell you something). I have been getting my nails done regularly at various shops for years and have NEVER complained about my nails even when I didnt like the job....This place took the cake. This was the absolute WORST experience and EVEN WORST nail job I have ever had done!! I started off with my pedicure. The guy that did it did a LOUSY job! (I asked for the pedi w/ callus remover) He started off with the callus remover and completely rushed through the entire thing. I kept thinking to my self "wow hes going super fast and not doing very good" but I hate complaining so I kept it to my self. Then he went straight from callus remover to rinsing my feet and then applying lotion. I thought it was weird that he was applying lotion on my legs before doing ANYTHING and I seriously mean ANYTHING to my toes! I brought it to his attention bc maybe he's had a long day and just forgot. Instead of just looking at my toes (bc it was obvious nothing had been done to my nails) the guy started trying to argue with me saying he did.He then started speaking in his foreign language to coworkers causing a scene in shop. I was APPALLED!! Worst customer service in my entire life!! Even my 8yr old daughter looked at my toes and said, "wow mommy that doesn't look good. It's looks like I did your nails" I understand people make mistakes and it would have been different if someone was willing to correct the lousy job but they wanted to argue. I am not an arguementive person at all. I was so upset that I left without getting the rest of our services. Thank you for ruining part of my 8yr old birthday! read more
