So having said that and the fact that I have a home espresso set up and do my own Cortado's every day I think this place ranks very high. The Cortado had silky, smooth milk and a very nice chocolatey Rich Deep flavor. It doesn't get any better than that. I also like the latte Art. A barista has to have latte Art in order to get a top rating in this place has it. The baristas here know their stuff. Not only that, but they like to make conversation with the customers in a lively manner, twinkling in the eye eyebrows, going up and down hands, waving with coffee cups being zipped back-and-forth in front of the machine and slamming the group had to empty the puck all while carrying on a fun good morning style conversation.! In need for coffee nearby, I decided on Temple Coffee Roasters. I ordered a latte with low fat milk and honey. The flavor of the coffee roast was really good. It was smooth and not bitter. I didn't expect to be surprised this early in the morning. Service here is also excellent. The cashier was very friendly, asking how my morning was and any plans for the day. The pastries are excellent too although they tend to run low on the gluten-OK ones as the day goes on (there were many more gluten-free when I was there). All of our drink orders were on one tab, props to the barista who put up with getting all of us taken care of! Beautiful place. It was our first time coming and the man taking our order was so thoughtful and helpful. We order a hot chocolate it was not the best, tasted like warm milk.We also got a matcha which tasted like milk. The coffee on the other hand was amazing, great espresso, and perfect temperature. The place was very packed but that was alright because it is marathon day. My cousin needed to use the restroom, as she was walking out some lady walked up to her and shoved her cutting an old lady. It's always fun checking out another Temple location. My most frequent stops are K street and Davis but each Temple location has its own vibe and it's consistent coffee quality and great service from the baristas. Definitely check out the seasonal menus and any specials they have going on. There are often new tumblers and mugs and around the end of the year they do a buy two bags of coffee, get a mug deal. Their holiday mugs are usually pretty cute too. They're also currently doing a coffee passport where you can visit each location to win prizes. This particular location has a good amount of indoor seating as well as a little fenced in outdoor area. If you're at DOCO or in the area, this is a good local option. read more

Here's a tip. If you go in and look like a bum, you will get whatever you want for free! I used to spend a lot at this place until I started noticing how little they give to paying customers, but will enable the bums outside by giving out free stuff. I've had bums come up to me while I'm outside on the patio and ask for money and will not stop! Had one that told me to go to my atm with them to pull out money! Employees do nothing!
