I am so incredibly happy this is so close to my place in midtown. The interior is a clean, industrial feel with some modern touches. It is pretty spacious and the times I've gone it's either pretty quiet and other times pretty packed between people either working/studying or catching up with friends. The service is always friendly and no matter if the line is super short or super long they work to make sure your drink is good every time. I have yet to try their pastries or hot foods but hear nothing but good things. Their matcha drinks are truly so good. I've had their standard iced matcha and I tried their more elaborate drinks. The elaborate drinks tend to be on the sweeter side and that's my preference, also the blueberry syrup is truly so good and not artificial tasting. I was pleasantly surprised by the PB&J matcha, the peanut butter cold foam wasn't super sweet and mixed with the blueberry syrup it truly was so special and I could still taste the matcha. read more

This Mast Coffee location is very spacious and a great place to go if you want to do some work or chill for a while with a cup of great coffee. There is a lot of seating and the seating area is open and large. On my visit to this Mast location there were many people enjoying their time here. Mast Coffee has top notch coffee that is refined and balanced very well. On my visit to Mast I saw that they were featuring a peanut butter latte. I'm not one to usually go for specials like this, but this one really got my interest. I ordered it and it was surprisingly amazing. The peanut butter cold foam on the top was thick and complimented the latte under it nicely. It was amazing how Mast got this balance right. Such a cute place to have a nice beverage and hang out. This place has been a cycle of so many different coffee shops but the interior always gives the same industrial vibe. If anything, I feel like there is even make space and seating than before. They have some interesting drinks. I ordered the Tokyo fog with a both of simple syrup and it was delicious. Definitely unique because of the black metallic tea. It didn't taste mineral-y but it had an interesting flavor. This place is also dog friendly and there is a beautiful covered patio for patrons to enjoy. They do put out dog bowls for water and even offered my dog a treat! We don't visit this Mast Coffee as much as we should, each time we stop in I'm reminded how much we enjoy it. When we do stop in it's during our weekend walks through the city with our dog. The coffee shop is a lot bigger than most in the area and has plenty of seating available, including outdoor seating. It's very dog friendly and on our last visit there were at least five dogs lounging around while their people sipped coffee. We really like the iced chai here, and they also make a delicious flat white. They offer a variety of drinks as well as some pastries, so it's a great spot for breakfast or a quick snack. read more

The Maple Cinnamon Latte and Iced Matcha Latte are both solid options here. We are visiting from LA and were impressed with how spacious this coffee shop is, and how friendly the service was. Tons of available tables for working/studying, and the furniture is unique and hip. Would definitely return the next time we are in the area. read more

Came here for the first time after multiple recommendations from friends and am glad I finally did. This coffee shop has tons of seating inside, and would be perfect for a drink when you want to read or hangout with friends. The inside is filled with natural bright lighting, the baristas were super nice, and the drinks were delicious. It also looked like there was seating outside and people were hanging out there, great for days when the weather is nice. I got the maple and cinnamon latte and my friend got the pumpkin chai. Both were so good and I recommend both, but the pumpkin chai was my fave. It was sweet but not overly sugary and the flavor was perfect. The latte was good even after the ice melted and didn't taste watered down. They also sell bagels from Forgotten bakery and other pastries but didn't try those. Will definitely be back! read more

I loved this place. A friend suggested meeting there to cowork and it was perfect. There is so much space. Lots of tables inside that are near outlets. There is a patio area, but I didn't see any outlets outside. The drinks we got were good. My friend used their wifi and didn't have any issues. They also have a gender neutral restroom. Plenty of free 2-hour street parking. Can't go wrong. It's right at the corner and can be hard to miss. read more

I love this Mast Coffee location! The location is tucked in the corner of a neighborhood so you will have to be on the lookout for street parking. I absolutely adore the open space layout. Staff is friendly and always doing their best to get orders out swiftly. Visiting my best friend, she is well aware of how much I love matcha. Being the best friend she is, she recommends we try Mast Coffee. This is where we started our day and oh my gosh it is so good! There's plenty of seating as well as it's quite spacious. Booths and single tables and chairs are available for all party sizes. The service was efficient, very easy for us to order and we received our drinks quickly. As a matcha girlie, I was intrigued by their specialties. I got the Tokyo Fog with Oat Milk which is equivalent to a London Fog with Matcha. The matcha was of great quality, looking at both the color and tasting it. The drink itself was on the fragrant side, light, and sweet. My best friend enjoyed their Banana Mocha which looks beautiful. I would love to come back here to try their other offerings! I feel like Mast Coffee is an underrated Coffee shop in Sacramento. I stopped by around late lunch time around 2:00 PM and was surprised with the interior space. I came not knowing anything about this coffee shop as I didn't look into pictures of the location as I wanted to see it for myself and I was pretty surprised. I would have assumed it was a small shop with outside patio seating but the inside was pretty huge with so much seating. The aesthetic here is real nice. I usually get plain cold brews at any coffee place and I was very surprised by the price. For $4.50 I think it's one of the cheapest places to get a cold brew here in Sacramento (out of all the places I've visited) and I hope that doesn't change! Other places charge between $5-$6. The cold brew here is pretty standard flavor and just right of what you'd expect a cold brew to taste like. They have a little table for sugars and such which is very nice. I've visited some coffee shops that don't have that which I always find interesting. I definitely consider Mast Coffee a place I'll revisit if I'm ever wanting a cold brew! read more

In my opinion, the better of the two locations although I love them both, this one just offers more variety of seating as well as outdoor seating, which is super nice in the summertime. There's a good amount of parking around the building as well and they use skylights so depending on the time of the day, the mood really changes on the music always matches the vibe. Definitely recommend their chai. The hot chai is super good in the winter and the ice dry is just as good at any other time of year, and the Matcha is good too! Used the space for a work meeting and it was a great experience. Plenty of seating and charging ports even though it was BUSY. Didn't feel rushed either which was lovely. Plenty of other patrons were also working or catching up with friends so it was a very relaxed but open vibe. The drink was delicious as per usual and I loved the cup it was is. Super light and didn't let the heat travel to your fingers hard (like didn't feel HOT to the touch if that makes sense) was a nice warm. The bagel was delicious too, love that they carry forgotten bakery bagels! I recently walked to Mast Coffee for a pick-me-up, and I was impressed with their drinks! I've seen Mast all over my social media and was looking forward to trying their blueberry matcha. I'm not sure if all Mast locations carry the same menu, but the 28th one felt a little limited in what they offer. I decided to go with my backup and order an iced lavender matcha, and it was excellent! My latte was flavorful without being overpowered by the lavender syrup. My partner loved his iced mocha too. When you walk in, the coffee shop has a very industrial feel, which is brighten up by the plants. They also have an outdoor patio in the back, which I can see being a good option for those working from home. It's quiet and there's plenty of folks on their laptops. Service was quick and friendly, but I was a little disappointed that this particular location didn't carry many food options. The ambiance was wonderful--clean, calming, and beautifully minimalist with a Japandi feel. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient, which made the visit even nicer. The chai was delicious! The matcha wasn't my personal favorite (even though staff recommended it), though, and I think it might taste better iced--so that could be worth trying for others. Stopped by on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of seating there was inside. It was super spacious and I loved the simplicity of the place. My friend was a little indecisive on what to order and we tried flagging the cashier's attention but she didn't seem to pay us any mind. When we were ready to order, we asked about dairy alternatives and she responded with a little bit of attitude but we shrugged it off since my friend really wanted to try their spot. We ordered their Matcha latte - 5/5, we loved the taste Maple & cinnamon latte - 4/5, we knew it'd be on the sweeter side but it was a little too sweet for our liking. One of new favorite coffee places in the midtown/east sac area. I've been twice so far and I got difference coffee both times. First time I got an ice mocha to go which was creamy rich and smooth. The second time I got the mont blanc (dunno if I'm spelling that right) the cold brew was very caffeinated which helped me concentrate and get some work done on late weekend morning. It was pretty busy there so I initially had to sit at a table with no outlet but after a few minutes was able to move to a table with an outlet. Love that they are dog friendly. I ordered the Cinnamon Maple Latte was a bit of a mixed bag for me--it had a generous amount of cinnamon, which was a bit more than I prefer, but it was still a unique and interesting flavor. On the other hand, the bacon quiche was absolutely delightful! It was warm, delicious, and perfectly moist inside--definitely something I'd order again. The baristas were friendly and cordial, which added to the cozy atmosphere of the place. My only minor complaint was the wait time. I came here with some colleagues in the middle of the day. It's an industrial building with some large benches and tables but mostly small tables. The wi-fi here is excellent. They had nice music playing but it makes it hard for conference calls. I appreciated that they let me use my reusable cup for my tea. Staff was very friendly.
