We had a vacation trip up north and we took one of the guys who let a group over to there did some stops on the way we got there. I'm glad I got there before everybody else close by the time they got there I've been waiting a while but by the time I got there, there was no tables available so if I hadn't held the tables we had we wouldn't have been able to get seated together or sit down and eat. All the food was top-notch oh my goodness it was so fresh and tasty. The service was amazing. They had drink specials that day. We tried one of them something with bourbon. I don't know what it was. I think it was a mule. But so delicious some of us got pizza some sandwiches, some good fish. It was a wide variety across the board of things that people ordered. Everything was just delicious and it came out so quick and all on time like altogether we had like four tables and everybody ate within five minutes of each other. It was amazing because usually if it was a tape of service type of that big of people and we go out like sometimes the last people are still eating when the first group is done and leaving so this was kind of better that we all got to eat together like a big family. But I thought it was just a really cool place and it ran right along the bike path and the river and it was beautiful. It had mostly it was in a big building so it was mostly outside, but it was open for meant to end and it was just cool and comfortable and nobody was hurried or rushed and I felt that was a big important thing to me because I hate being rushed when I'm eating and stuff but it wasn't. The best part was the people. We ended up chatting with the brewmaster, who's from Mexico City, and he was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The owner was also very warm and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. We also happened to walk in during a salsa dance lesson, which was a fun surprise--definitely not something you expect to see in rural Vermont. Overall, a relaxed, welcoming spot with good drinks and interesting people. We would return.

All come in cans except Heady Topper, which you can grab on draft from a refrigerated beer engine. I have to say, having it on draft is a magical experience. Their aluminum cups are quite cute and you can take them home. Food is from a truck. Jamaican food that can be quite overwhelming with salt and spice if you're not careful. The potatoes were especially good. They hold events on their website including Boogie Bingo which we attended on Thursday night. Great host with a very dry sense of humor. The brewery is on the outskirts of town. It is an attractive facility situated on a large property with picturesque views. It was a beautiful day and they have lots of outdoor activities (corn hole, frisbee golf, etc) so there were people everywhere! This is a family friendly brewery and there were lots of kids running around. What a great vibe! I had a hand pulled Heady Topper. The brewery is the only place on the planet you can get Heady Topper hand pulled. It was worth the trip. My wife had a can of Light. I should note that other than Heady Topper everything comes in a can. No draft options which also means no tasting flights. I found that odd, but I get it. Not a big deal and it won't impact my rating. If you are in the area you might want to check this place out.

Our top favorites were the lemon gose, the peaches and cream ale and the blood orange. They offer this great option of trying small samples for a dollar. The brewery also features work from a lot of the local artisans. They have two floors to hang out and play games and just enjoy the day. The owners Renee and Matt are wonderful people, very knowledgeable and friendly. And they have the best employee, Ridge the brewery pup. If you're ever in the area or even if you're not, I highly recommend you stop in and check out this awesome gem. It is definitely worth it!!

This time, I was finally able to get a draft and meander a little. First off, try to find Denise in the taproom. She's an OG with a pleasant demeanor and some real depth of beer knowledge. She got us started on the right foot. It was a perfect day and we sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. The beers were great, but I also knew what to order. The menu is extensive and complex. I enjoy their stouts and wild/farmhouse ales the most. The IPAs are good, but not their best stuff IMHO. And a good ipa can be found on just about any corner nowadays whereas a great farmhouse is a little harder to find. Are they a little pretentious? Maybe, but I didn't experience that during my visit. I found the staff helpful and friendly. It was later in the day on a Thursday so maybe that helped. All in all, HF was a nice place to spend a few hours in the remotes of VT having some quality farmhouse ales.

The venue itself was very nice, open and airy, the food was great and from what I can tell standard menu items, set up to be catered. The beer, cold and delicious and staff friendly. One cool thing that I learned is their gratuity system is set up to help local non profits and charities, with a new charity receiving all (possibly a portion) of the tips. A very thoughtful way to help the local communities!

I so badly want to love this spot but the beer is just bad. We are avid brewery visitors, locally and around the country, and even have friends who brew and this is the only spot where no one at the table wanted to finish a beer. We ordered 2 flights both times to get a sense of everything they do, and every single beer was mediocre with a horrible aftertaste. I wish this spot would work on 1-2 flagship brews and make them taste as good as the spot feels. We probably will not be back and with so many other great options around, wouldn't recommend.
