I've been aware of Lost Nation Brewing but it's been since 2016/2017 when I had a beer from them last. To start they have ample parking and have a nicely painted mural on the side of their building. They have an indoor section we did not check that out and instead sat at the bar in the outdoor section. How can you pass up looking into the kitchen and also the wafting scents of burgers, fries and everything else being cooked. Despite a chillier day than most we have had lately it was worth it! Besides their own brews they had guest taps, guest botttles/cans, and even some cocktails including some spiked apple cider for that fall feeling drink. For beer fans they even had a rotating Hillfarmstead DIPA for a guest tap. I ended up getting their Kolsch and my wife got their gose. Both very solid beers and worth grabbing. Food wise they had a couple burgers, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, turkey sandwich, hot dogs, and some small plates. My wife ended up choosing the burger and I got their fried chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the burger and thought it was cooked very well. The chicken sandwich was delicious, the fact it was smothered in honey did make it a bit messy to eat but tasted so good! The fries we got were massive and well seasoned and the side of pickles were great too. Would be a no brainer to get either one again if we visit again! Bartender was friendly and we didn't wait long at all for the drinks or food! Well made brews paired along side delicious food, really what more could you ask for? The best part was the people. We ended up chatting with the brewmaster, who's from Mexico City, and he was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The owner was also very warm and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. We also happened to walk in during a salsa dance lesson, which was a fun surprise--definitely not something you expect to see in rural Vermont. One thing that did not change was the delicious brews- so worth the trip. And, all of the employees are so friendly and helpful. We went on a beautiful day in August. Sat in some Adirondack chairs and enjoyed the beautiful scenery while sipping on great beer! I had Arthur and George. I love how many of their beer is named for family members- their stories are fun to read. Very family and pet friendly. We brought sandwiches, but there was a BBQ food truck on the premises. We bought some cans to bring home. I would strongly urge beer lovers to check out Hill Farmstead-guaranteed deliciousness.

The venue itself was very nice, open and airy, the food was great and from what I can tell standard menu items, set up to be catered. The beer, cold and delicious and staff friendly. One cool thing that I learned is their gratuity system is set up to help local non profits and charities, with a new charity receiving all (possibly a portion) of the tips. A very thoughtful way to help the local communities!
