I thought I already did a review from here, but I will do it again. I really enjoyed our visit with this particular brewery. I went with my motorcycle group for like 20 or five of us or whatever for lunch on our run back in. We had a vacation trip up north and we took one of the guys who let a group over to there did some stops on the way we got there. I'm glad I got there before everybody else close by the time they got there I've been waiting a while but by the time I got there, there was no tables available so if I hadn't held the tables we had we wouldn't have been able to get seated together or sit down and eat. All the food was top-notch oh my goodness it was so fresh and tasty. The service was amazing. They had drink specials that day. We tried one of them something with bourbon. I don't know what it was. I think it was a mule. But so delicious some of us got pizza some sandwiches, some good fish. It was a wide variety across the board of things that people ordered. Everything was just delicious and it came out so quick and all on time like altogether we had like four tables and everybody ate within five minutes of each other. It was amazing because usually if it was a tape of service type of that big of people and we go out like sometimes the last people are still eating when the first group is done and leaving so this was kind of better that we all got to eat together like a big family. But I thought it was just a really cool place and it ran right along the bike path and the river and it was beautiful. It had mostly it was in a big building so it was mostly outside, but it was open for meant to end and it was just cool and comfortable and nobody was hurried or rushed and I felt that was a big important thing to me because I hate being rushed when I'm eating and stuff but it wasn't. Tried this place out for dinner on a Thursday evening. They close a little early at 7pm so we got there around 5:45pm. Parking in the lot was easy. Workers were very friendly and welcoming inside. The inside had some bar seating and some table seating with someone playing piano. The menu has a variety of different sandwiches. I started with a hot chocolate and the elote dip. Hot chocolate was nothing special but was good on a cold day. The elote dip was delicious! Warm and cheesy! Yum! I then ordered the falafel pita. It wasn't my favorite. The falafel was crisp but I didn't love the homemade gluten free pita. It was not fluffy and was just kinda bland. The fries were made well! Thick and very crispy. If you looked through my reviews you would notice I am a fan of craft breweries, my wife is as well! So while on a trip and looking for a spot to grab some lunch naturally we ended up picking this spot. I've been aware of Lost Nation Brewing but it's been since 2016/2017 when I had a beer from them last. To start they have ample parking and have a nicely painted mural on the side of their building. They have an indoor section we did not check that out and instead sat at the bar in the outdoor section. How can you pass up looking into the kitchen and also the wafting scents of burgers, fries and everything else being cooked. Despite a chillier day than most we have had lately it was worth it! Besides their own brews they had guest taps, guest botttles/cans, and even some cocktails including some spiked apple cider for that fall feeling drink. For beer fans they even had a rotating Hillfarmstead DIPA for a guest tap. I ended up getting their Kolsch and my wife got their gose. Both very solid beers and worth grabbing. Food wise they had a couple burgers, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, turkey sandwich, hot dogs, and some small plates. My wife ended up choosing the burger and I got their fried chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the burger and thought it was cooked very well. The chicken sandwich was delicious, the fact it was smothered in honey did make it a bit messy to eat but tasted so good! The fries we got were massive and well seasoned and the side of pickles were great too. Would be a no brainer to get either one again if we visit again! Bartender was friendly and we didn't wait long at all for the drinks or food! Well made brews paired along side delicious food, really what more could you ask for? If you visit during warmer weather it appeared they have a huge outdoor area further back than we were in as well! If you like visiting breweries add this to your list to check out! read more

Lost Nation came highly recommended by other guests that stayed at a cabin we booked for a long weekend. We thought, why not? We love beer & good food. We were immediately seated in the biergarten. Food was quick to come out. The fried chicken sandwich was "okay" - it was sweet & a bit soggy. The ahi tuna flatbread was not what I was expecting but the tuna was cooked very well. We plan to visit again & try some other menu items. We unfortunately had to take our lunch back with us because we had a late breakfast & weren't all that hungry. Hungry and driving down Rt. 15, we stopped at Lost Nation for food. The exterior of the building is unassuming, but the Biergarten inside is what my boyfriend describes as "quintessentially Vermont." Our server was nice, the beer was good, and the food (marinated olives & grilled cheese with apples and potato wedges) seemed fresh and delicious. read more

Checked this place out again- Still great as ever. We had to make reservations which was fine. Tables outdoors in the Biergarten were adequately spaced. Every table had hand sanitizer on it. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She recommended the special of braised jerk chicken with pineapple and cheddar cheese and local greens on a challah roll. It was delicious if messy. My only complaint with this place is that the juices tend to make the bread soggy especially by the time you get to the second half of the sandwich or taco. Pineapple really made this sandwich come together. The chicken had a nice spice but I expected more since it was labeled as a Jamaican jerk chicken. Good- I just wished for a little more heat. The side of corn on the cob that I ordered was excellent. I was so torn - their ahi tuna taco sounded so good but still glad I got the chicken special. As for the Pitch Black draft- perfect and smooth as always. This is one place I always make sure to visit when I come up to Vermont. Go- you will be glad you made the trip. read more

This was the perfect lunch stop on our bike ride of the LVRT. The beer was good but the food was the real star. The pulled pork sandwich was crispy, moist and delicious. They offered multiple choices of BBQ sauce and the Carolina sauce had a great tang to it. In addition the sides of the house made coleslaw and potato salad were huge and delicious. It was a cool environment as well with a large open space with the cooking area in the middle. Staff was attentive and it was fairly priced. Definitely a solid stop if you are in the Lamoille Valley. read more

This brewery looked huge, but the indoor area was small, although the outdoor area is much bigger and looked like it would be great in warmer months, it was too cold to sit out there the day we arrived. I ordered the Lost Galaxy IPA as a 10 oz pour. It was tasty and had much left ABV than normal IPAs. They did have a food menu, which didn't look that appealing, but the daily specials sounded better. The service was good and the place wasn't too busy. I'd come back in the summer to enjoy the large outdoor area. read more

Super cute brewery with very affordable tasting options. We had the roasted garlic hummus as a snack, which was INCREDIBLE! I cannot stop thinking about how good that hummus was! You can get four ounce pours, so we were able to sample several different beers. They have lots of outdoor seating options, including an adorable fire pit. My friend and I decided to do a 30-mile ride on the Lamoille Trail on Sunday and at about mile 13, we saw Lost nation and decided to stop for a beer and some quick grub. This seems to be a cool stop offer many cyclists. We were seated quickly and ordered their homemade roasted garlic hummus served with pickled Veggies and grilled pita. My friend ordered one of their Gose and I ordered the pilsner. We both enjoyed our beers and were wowed by the hummus. It was so creamy and delicious, with real roasted garlic cloves (my fave) and it was clear they skipped the tahini, which I don't like much anyway. The mini pitas were warm and soft and the pickled vegetables were delicious. The menu in general looked amazing and I would definitely come back to try their pickled eggs and main dishes. The dessert of the day was a flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry coulis. I used to make this myself (haven't in a long time) and I was really tempted to try it, but knew we had an additional trip ahead of us and I didn't want to overdo it. The chefs are cooking outside right in front of you, which is really cool. My family is in town in a week and as beer aficionados and foodies, I look forward to bringing them here. read more

Oh my lord Lost Nation has some of the best food in Vermont. I went vegan recently and was a little nervous I wouldn't be able to have their AMAZING meats. I got their smoked tofu sandwich and it seriously tasted exactly like meat. They pressed that tofu like a pro, it was thin! The sandwich was quite literally just tofu, greens, and tomato and i would've found a way to eat multiple. Absolutely amazing taste! Totally recommend! read more

Really neat place.....after a full day of hiking and visiting other breweries we needed something to snack on! and of course sample more beers. We ordered their buffalo cauliflower and their homemade Garlic Hummus and pita. It was very good and Spicy. We saw their burgers and they were massive nothing we could manage but it was the pick of the night for many. Tried their Rollaway IPA and it was so good. Small seating inside but they have an outdoor seating area during the summer. Weather was a bit frigid and snowy so indoors it was. Give it a try, friendly people behind the bar too!!! read more

I love visiting local breweries and this place has really quality beer! every style they make is delicious and a good example of the style. I'm so thankful for our waiter Cameron who helped us select beers that we would like and even helped us with the beers to go. but what this place has above all the breweries with great beer in the area is food that is super high quality and varied! The tuna taco special looked awesome but i wasn't quite hungry enough, we got the white bean cakes to share and they were super tasty and very well seasoned. Plus the salad on the side had really good balsamic dressing. Beyond being really helpful and knowledgeable about the beer cameron also let us know about local hiking trails that were close by and which ones were best for casual hikers. Plus he helped me locate a good running trail. Everyone was super friendly and we stocked up on beer to go because it was so good! read more

Amazing beer, amazing food, amazing staff...... what more could you ask for?! Oh yeah.... amazing music!!! This place is going to cause a haunting desire to sell my house and move to VT. To do what? I don't know!! It should be illegal to do what you do Lost Nation!! You are going to ruin lives!! I had the special which was three sliders and a beer for $10. Ridiculous. Their pints are normally $5. So I got three sliders and a side for another 5 bucks.... What kind of game are you playing man?! The BBQ pulled pork sliders were delicious, especially after I put some of their house made hot sauce on. ***** HIGHLY RECOMMEND ***** I had the BEST meal of my entire vacation to VT right here at Lost Nation.  Where do I even start!? The aroma of grilled bbq fills your nose as you walk through the parking lot toward the outdoor, covered barn eating area.  The grill/kitchen is outside in the seating area with all the picnic tables, so you get all the glorious smells of fresh food cooking. There was a heavy downpour of rain when we arrived, but it was fun to eat outside under a barn roof and watch the rain.  They don't have flights, but you can order 4 oz pours of anything you want. I got a blueberry wheat, a stout and something else I cannot remember at the moment.  The blueberry was fantastic!  There's also a taproom where you can sample their brews. THE FOOOOOOD: Lost Nation burger.  OMG.  Out of this world.  One thing I thought was a bit odd was that when I ordered my burger to be cooked 'medium,' our server said they can't do it that way because the "patties are thin and they can't tell check the inside of it."  So, she suggested either medium well or medium rare.  I went with medium rare.  So...my burger was thickkkl!  If they think it was "thin", I can only imagine what they consider a thick burger!  It was nice and pink in the middle, but no longer mooing.  The meat was fresh too...no frozen patties there.  The special sauce, cheese and grilled bun all worked together and it was freaking amazing. The meal also came with greens tossed in some sort of vinaigrette dressing, and potato salad (IMO, the potato salad needs a lot more flavor - I should have gotten fries).  I ate the whole burger, even though I wasn't very hungry - it was THAT good. My husband ordered the special pastrami sandwich, which I was fortunate to get a bite of.  Also freaking delicious.  We checked out the tap room real quick before leaving, and I tried another 4 oz. of their saison (never had one before). Wasn't a fan, but at least I know what a saison is now. Went for a business lunch. We were all ok for casual and this place was certainly that. It's a covered beer garden with an outdoor kitchen. Really cool atmosphere. I had the caprese sandwich. It was delicious! Enjoyed the whole meal, cooked nicely and was fresh. Others in my group got the cobb salad. That was great as well. Overall it was fun and nice, but very casual. Be prepared to smell like a smoker when you leave. read more

First, I had to ding them 1 star for not allowing dogs or having any outdoor tables that would accommodate dogs. They wouldn't even let us sit by the mini fire pit. Crying babies ok but not well behaved dogs - really? Given the number of out of state license plates (Georgia, New York, Illinois), I guess we were lucky not to get seated. The food was ok - caprese was tasty, crunchy, and fresh - I would order this again. The potato salad was good and not very mayonnaise-y. Pickles were good. And that's where it ends. The los taco was tasteless and the ahi was stringy. The brisket was bland and greasy. We didn't finish either and I wouldn't order either again. And the slaw was bland too. The only reason they are getting 3 stars (vs 2) is the beer - mosaic is hoppy and citrus-y. Other reviewers must give it 4.5 stars for the ambiance (cool look with trendy music - I think 80's music) because it can't be for the food or service. With all the great nearby breweries, we'll be going elsewhere. read more

Lost Nation's Biergarten has been a special stop for us on our bi-yearly trips to Vermont for the past 6 years or so. The beer was always average, but the food was always so good that it made up for any of its shortcomings. Sadly, it breaks our hearts to say that after visiting today, we don't know if we'll be coming back. The vibe is way different than our last visit in September '22, and it feels like just a shadow of what it once was. The food menu has changed from being pretty adventurous (ahi tuna tacos and tiki masala were some of my favorites) to very basic (such as cheeseburgers, cheesesteaks, tots). Food service is a counter now - no table service and very limited staff all around. Our bill for 4 people was $100 before tax and tip. We paid the same for both Doc Ponds and Pro Pig, both with normal table service, and the food was so much better than what we had at Lost Nation. It seems like they are going through a rough time, so I'm trying to be understanding and take our previous experiences into consideration with this rating. I'm just hoping they are able to turn things around and provide the special experience that we used to know and love again someday. read more

Very good! We went during the week. There was no wait to be seated. The waitress was excellent. Very nice. I had the brisket s'wich and it was awesome!! The BBQ sauce was so good I wanted to order it as a drink :) . I wish it came with some fries cause the chips wasn't cutting it. The coleslaw was ok. My wife had the Cobb salad with the grilled chicken and she LOVED it. I had step daughter or second daughter. Lol. Can't remember but I do remember that it was very hoppy. Too hoppy for me. Also had Pitch Black and that was a lot more enjoyable and super smooth. Would I return: (If I didn't live 4 hours away) Absolutely... BUT I reeeeeally wish they would add fries to their menu. Outdoor seating only when we visited. It's a large warehouse style place right at the end of Old Creamery Road. Great beer - we had IPAs and some kind of dark beer. Yummy food and large servings. We had the smoked turkey sandwich, smoked bratwurst, shrimp hoagie. And smoked chicken platter with kale and cowboy beans. The only downside was the beans weren't cooked long enough so they were crunchy. Other than that, an enjoyable experience. read more

I still think about the Gose and have kicked myself for not getting a growler of it. The food there is also good-and with the crazy snowstorm I was there for surprised that they had anything to eat. Pleasantly surprised after I had their potato-leek soup and their grilled cheese-with bacon. I think after this leeks are going to be my go-to vegetable of choice. I also had their Petit-Ardennes, the Belgian farmhouse ale, light and crisp but not bland. I like that their focus is on lower alcohol but still tasty beers. Omg so good, so delicious, so fun! He had one of their beers, I had a hard cider. He initially ordered the rib sandwich but sorry to say it was dry. I tried it and agreed. So he ordered the burger like me. Very flavorful and juicy. Pasta salad side: mmmmm. Oh and the baked beans are served in a small glass canning jar and made me think of the delicious baked beans my mom always made. The issue with the dry rib sandwich: our waitress was over the top understanding. We would return here in a heartbeat. Ate outside on picnic tables so casual atmosphere. read more
