Hungry and driving down Rt. 15, we stopped at Lost Nation for food. The exterior of the building is unassuming, but the Biergarten inside is what my boyfriend describes as "quintessentially Vermont." Our server was nice, the beer was good, and the food (marinated olives & grilled cheese with apples and potato wedges) seemed fresh and delicious.

They serve great food. And beer from several other local breweries. It's small - a one bathroom kinda place but has a great vibe. And good service.

Went for some vt beer and something to eat. We were not disappointed. Spoke to the bartender who is the owner or one of them. Very welcoming and attentive. The beers were cold and fresh tasting. Thad two smash burgers and fries. The salad was excellent as were the burgers and fries. It was cold outside but warm and inviting inside. Excellent job for displaying what Vt has to offer in the brew pub experience.

Checked this place out again- Still great as ever. We had to make reservations which was fine. Tables outdoors in the Biergarten were adequately spaced. Every table had hand sanitizer on it. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She recommended the special of braised jerk chicken with pineapple and cheddar cheese and local greens on a challah roll. It was delicious if messy. My only complaint with this place is that the juices tend to make the bread soggy especially by the time you get to the second half of the sandwich or taco. Pineapple really made this sandwich come together. The chicken had a nice spice but I expected more since it was labeled as a Jamaican jerk chicken. Good- I just wished for a little more heat. The side of corn on the cob that I ordered was excellent. I was so torn - their ahi tuna taco sounded so good but still glad I got the chicken special. As for the Pitch Black draft- perfect and smooth as always. This is one place I always make sure to visit when I come up to Vermont. Go- you will be glad you made the trip.

This brewery looked huge, but the indoor area was small, although the outdoor area is much bigger and looked like it would be great in warmer months, it was too cold to sit out there the day we arrived. I ordered the Lost Galaxy IPA as a 10 oz pour. It was tasty and had much left ABV than normal IPAs. They did have a food menu, which didn't look that appealing, but the daily specials sounded better. The service was good and the place wasn't too busy. I'd come back in the summer to enjoy the large outdoor area.

Super cute brewery with very affordable tasting options. We had the roasted garlic hummus as a snack, which was INCREDIBLE! I cannot stop thinking about how good that hummus was! You can get four ounce pours, so we were able to sample several different beers. They have lots of outdoor seating options, including an adorable fire pit. Our server was also extremely friendly and helpful - and cute!!

My friend and I decided to do a 30-mile ride on the Lamoille Trail on Sunday and at about mile 13, we saw Lost nation and decided to stop for a beer and some quick grub. This seems to be a cool stop offer many cyclists. We were seated quickly and ordered their homemade roasted garlic hummus served with pickled Veggies and grilled pita. My friend ordered one of their Gose and I ordered the pilsner. We both enjoyed our beers and were wowed by the hummus. It was so creamy and delicious, with real roasted garlic cloves (my fave) and it was clear they skipped the tahini, which I don't like much anyway. The mini pitas were warm and soft and the pickled vegetables were delicious. The menu in general looked amazing and I would definitely come back to try their pickled eggs and main dishes. The dessert of the day was a flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry coulis. I used to make this myself (haven't in a long time) and I was really tempted to try it, but knew we had an additional trip ahead of us and I didn't want to overdo it. The chefs are cooking outside right in front of you, which is really cool. My family is in town in a week and as beer aficionados and foodies, I look forward to bringing them here.

Really neat place.....after a full day of hiking and visiting other breweries we needed something to snack on! and of course sample more beers. We ordered their buffalo cauliflower and their homemade Garlic Hummus and pita. It was very good and Spicy. We saw their burgers and they were massive nothing we could manage but it was the pick of the night for many. Tried their Rollaway IPA and it was so good. Small seating inside but they have an outdoor seating area during the summer. Weather was a bit frigid and snowy so indoors it was. Give it a try, friendly people behind the bar too!!!

The GF chicken tender strips are a game changer. The service is always great and the beer on tap is a great variety.

Love the beer, food, and vibe here! Having the Lamoille rail trail right outside the tap room windows makes it an excellent pit stop.

This brewery was known to be superior 8 or so years ago. Us hop heads in CT dreamed about it but never tasted. We were curious, their location was intriguing. It also made us skeptical. So the snow is falling, it's approaching 4pm, the drive brings you up a hill on the dirt road. Add beer to the uncertainty of the moment, it was perfect for anxiety, excitement and first tastes. Draft one was a nitro stout. Yeah, like Guinness but... UNBELIEVABLE. Just that good. Then an IPA close to their origin. Simple. Again, UNBELIEVABLE. Easy sell, I bought each 4 pack available. Asked for a restaurant in Montpelier. The Three Penny Taproom was... UNBELIEVABLE. (Chickpeas, Chicken Nuggs and Hill Farmstead all over the place.) Of course the brewery guys recommended it, and the gas station at Willey's in Greensboro. So we survived the "brief flurry", and a Taproom extraordinaire. The beer is ready for a Connecticut Christmas and will be compared to the beer from Burlington, Stowe and Deerfield. All great brews. The anticipation of enjoying Hill Farmstead beer was just as exciting as the trip and first taste. So, If you need a trip, find them. No complaining about the distance and remoteness, please. It's where they are. Yeah, you can find the beer in other places in state. I look forward to getting it at those spots. I look forward to seeing the brewery in the summer!

It was intriguing to peek behind the curtain and they even offer paid tours. All of the workers we encountered were pleasant and enthusiastic about the products. We loved the chill vibe of the location, as they had an open outdoors area with seating and lawn games, including disc golf and corn hole. There was also an outdoor patio with a couch and stage for live performances. It was a place I could see myself kicking back at on the regular if I were local to the area. The location was not serving food when we visited though a food truck was located on site and said it would be opening in May. They did have complementary bags of pretzels available for guests to take. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the fun merch for sale. We purchased a hat. My husband enjoyed his beer and regrets not purchasing a four pack to take home.
