Great food for a good price! Yummy ramen with flavorful broth. Lots of different options. They have a choice between thick and thin noodles, udon, rice bowls, and even some sushi options. Service was fantastic here, even better than the food haha. Our waitress was the sweetest. She helped describe some of the options for first timers, she was patient while we were choosing between options haha, they were all attentive in the restaurant, helped us packed up the leftovers. Super great people! Inside was adorable as well, a super nice Christmas feel, I loved all the decorations! It was beautiful inside, plenty of seating. The parking lot is huge so no issues there. A you walk in the entrance there is a lovely little fountain with a water wheel to begin your relaxation. It's cute & casual. The staff is very sweet here and work as a unit so if you need anything, any one of them is more than happy to help you. I was seated & ordered quickly. First time dining in at Ten Gu Ramen, although I've ordered takeout before. We came in for lunch and it was very busy. There was only one person handling everything, so service was a bit slow, but she was kind and clearly doing her best. The food was good and satisfied the ramen craving, even if it wasn't anything extraordinary. There's plenty of seating, though the tables are set pretty close together. I've been wanting to try this place and today I decided to take the day off and order from doordash. The food was packaged very nicely and came in a cloth bag stapled at the top. The ramen came in a two tiered bowl with the broth separate so that once I opened it, I could add the noodles and everything else. I ordered the spicy pork ramen. It isn't overly spicy it just has a very nice kick to it. They also include a small cup of oil If you want to make it more spicy. I give it a ten out of ten! Lively upbeat music, and at this late hour, there were lots of diners. Hubby had the yaki ramen noodles. He LOVED every bite of the shrimp and noodles in a medium sauce. I had the Shrimp Ramen with thick udon noodles. Shrimp were crunchy. I believe there was crispy seaweed and a crispy onion. You need to eat the crispy stuff first as the coating can become quite mushy. As an appetizer we ordered vegetable crispy egg rolls with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Our server was named Fen. TLDR: Great Udon. Not Japanese curry First things first. The udon was pretty good, cooked just the way my wife likes it. It's chewy and soft, a little bit past al-dente. I prefer it a little bit more al-dente, but it was still pretty tasty. My wife liked the broth, she said it was very umami. We both liked the veggie croquette. It was delicately crunchy, with a nice fluffy potato inside. I didn't taste the veggies, so that's definitely a plus! The potato is definitely the star of the dish. Now onto the less than stellar part. I've had curry from Japan. I've had Japanese curry in the norcal, and curry in socal. This didn't taste like Japanese curry. It's not thick, it's a bit spicy. It's watery. The pork was unexpectedly dry and tough. Perhaps it was too thin? I liked the rice! If I had only ordered the curry, I think I would give it only 2 stars. But the udon and the croquette brought it up to 3. It does make me want to try their ramen though... I mean, it's IN THE NAME. Perhaps that is their specialty. We tried three different ramens and all were delicious! It's the tonkatsu broth that makes these ramens taste great. The roasted pork belly, chashu, was so tender and seasoned just right. The restaurant was playing music but it kept getting cut out, it was unpleasant to sit and listen to choppy music. My family and I had a great dinner at Ten Gu Ramen. The Ramune melon drink was a big hit, especially with my kid, who also loved the deep-fried squid legs and side of fish cakes. My husband, who is usually super picky, ordered the spicy miso ramen and surprisingly finished the entire bowl! I myself had the spicy pork ramen and while I don't handle spicy food as well as I used to, it was too good that I could not stop eating it. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the decor really transported us to Japan! We shared a spam musubi, I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and he had the eel rice bowl. The musubi was delicious and light. I can't say enough good things about my dish. I can't handle spice and usually have a hard time finding something at Ramen restaurants. This one was full of fresh ginger and soothing. I'm not big on green onions but they didn't overpower the dish. The meat was really good too. It was cut thin enough I didn't have an issue with the fatty part. My husband was very happy as well, especially with the rice. Our server was attentive and accommodating of my mobility issues. The dining room was very bright and open.
