Service was great, the prices are slightly higher than some other sushi places but the quality and service makes up for it. This place has potential and is very roomy.

Service, food, and ambiance is thumps up. I think its a family run business. We got free sample appetizers which tasted good. We ordered the Gangnam style sushi and it was really good! I usually don't pick salmon sushi but this was very flavorful. The portions were big as well. I think they also have Korean dishes. My only negative comment was the pork tonkatsu; i think it was a lil dry and thin. Other that that, I recommend this place and will definitely be back!

We came here before and it was called something else and it was good but I can see that they were a lot slower than now. We will be returning because we enjoyed everything we ordered. The location is right next to our house so it's very convenient. Waitress was really nice they did open up the dining room more because they remove the wall and it feels a lot better in there now. We left full and we were full quite a while!

I got a Fried california Roll- best I have ever tasted! They serve you a few edemame initially and a unique piece of orange with ur bill. Also ordered Mochi van. ice cream. (Delicious) Service was great, food came quickly! I will definitely return!

Went here for first time with my wife wanted dinner before going to movies and we decided on trying this place for sushi it wasn't a disappointment..food was really good and fresh great spot before movies and even if there is no movie but wanted a fresh start to this great weather we have been having..and customer service was also great with great knowledge of what to try.

We've been here a few times now and while I was sad the previous sushi place left, I am very grateful that Ok Love Sushi has taken over. The restaurant is always welcoming and always offering some type of special. I tried the cucumber special as an "on the house" treat and decided to add it to my order (even though four rolls was enough). They always play good music, and their ambiance resembles that of all other sushi joints in town. What sets them apart from the rest? The service and quality, hands down. This will be my go to spot from now on.

Our server brought this over for us to try! Spicy salmon on cucumber slices, delicious!

This place is such a delicious sushi spot. Hidden off of Camino Media, Ok Love Sushi offers a plethora of amazing rolls and so much more. The ambiance is nice, I could hang there with friends for hours and feel comfortable. I have been to this location twice and both times, our service was exceptionally great! They're understaffed, but I could tell the effort the servers put in was commendable and quick! Both times, our servers offered us free items for us to try thanks to the sushi chef. Speaking of which, the sushi chef was amazing. Watching her make sushi was like watching art being created. The love she put into it really is apparent and respectable! All of the rolls were superb and the appetizers were just as great! We were given free gyoza and edamame and it was so nice! Please try this place when you get the chance! I highly recommend everyone try this spot!

Best love sushi location In Bakersfield. Extremely clean, sushi tastes fresh and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend

Mexican Roll

This is not your typical "love sushi" restaurant like the others in Bakersfield. They have Korean food as well! We didn't get a picture of our Tteokbokki or Bulgogi dinner as we ravished it as it hit the table. We've had Tteokbokki at other places and this has been the best by far. We had the Mexican roll which was amazing and the service was great. Very prompt and respectful and they tended to us very well. If you're looking for sushi and Korean food, this is your place!!!

The ambiance is very no frills and clean. The service was relatively quick after we ordered. I ordered the lunch bento with hand rolls of salmon avocado and tuna avocado. I also had salmon belly and otoro. The hand rolls were quite large and very tasty. The salmon belly was very tender and delicious. The otoro was the star of the show - it's my absolute favorite cut of tuna and I order it whenever I get the chance! It was so tender and melted in my mouth! Overall, we had a great time and I'll definitely be back for more otoro!

I really hate that I have to give this place a 4 but it's because the spicy edamame was not to my liking and they do not carry pineapple soju. The food is definitely a must try, especially the beautiful yellowtail sashimi. The seafood yakisoba was so delicious. I did not care much for the baked salmon roll, Love Sushi takes first place for that roll and Prime Sushi take first place for spicy edamame. The crazy tuna roll I ordered was so big! The crunchy pieces on top can stand to sit in some absorbing paper towels because they were a bit oily but went well with the Tuna dance. I personally did not care for the bluefin tuna. Overall my babe and I enjoyed our dinner and will most definitely return for more.

The staff is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is lively with an open-concept layout, so if you're looking for a quiet or intimate setting, this might not be the spot, but the food makes up for it! I ordered the spicy chicken noodles, and the portion was very generous. I personally wished it had a bit more heat. We also tried the spicy edamame and the 8-piece gyoza. Both were excellent!

I'm glad we did, because it gave us a whole new feel for the place. Inside isn't massive, but it's not cramped either. Think of it like the Goldilocks of restaurant spaces: just right. The vibe leans calm and cozy, dim lighting, black walls, and splashes of color here and there. It's got that "peaceful sushi zen" atmosphere without being boring. Our waitress deserves a medal (or at least an extra roll on the house). She was the only one working the floor, yet somehow managed to be friendly, attentive, and efficient all at once. Multitasking level: expert. Now onto the food, which is really why we came back. We ordered a spread: two teriyaki chicken plates, one chicken ramen bowl, an order of sushi crunch rolls, egg rolls, a large pineapple sake, a beer, and two iced teas. (Yes, we came hungry. Don't judge.) Everything came out quickly, hot, and fresh. The chicken was juicy, the rice perfectly cooked, and the little bed of veggies under the teriyaki chicken was tender-crispy and surprisingly addictive. Whoever thought of tucking those under there deserves a raise. The ramen had bold flavors that hit the spot, and the sushi rolls lived up to their name, they really were crunchy and delicious. Now, the egg rolls. Let me tell you, these might just be the best I've ever had. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and stuffed with flavor on the inside. The kind that makes you regret ordering only one plate. Drinks? The beer was cold (and surprisingly affordable), the iced teas were strong and refreshing, and the pineapple sake... well, it was different, let's just say it's not everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I'll stick to tequila, lol, but my husband happily claimed the sake as his new favorite. Win-win. Prices here are fair and budget-friendly, which is always nice to see at a sushi spot. The place was clean and well-kept, and I'm happy to say it still holds up just as well as when I ordered takeout years ago. Bottom line: Shoyu Sushi is still doing its thing, fresh food, good prices, relaxing vibe, and service that makes you feel taken care of. If you want sushi that crunches, teriyaki that comforts, and egg rolls that just might ruin all other egg rolls for you, this is the spot.
