No not only am i upset I'm disappointed on how you have treated me throughout this whole process after I stuck with you after your salesman flake on me many times. 2. We have been ignored: my husband has called multiple times and ask to speak to the owner and "he is always busy" not once have YOU contacted us. It's been months! 3. Yes please let's put the screen shots where I tell your "daughter" what colors I want which also includes pictures. 4. I didn't enlist anyone my friend saw how disappointed I was and decided to see if she could get YOUR attention. Since all of our tries have gone to deaf ears. I'm glad she did!. 5. I understand we are human and we make mistakes and that's exactly what I and Kayla did. She did pressure me into signing the addendum cause she need to order the shade ASAP. My mistake was that I thought she knew what I wanted unfortunately that wasn't the case....And no you didn't order what I wanted. Or else I wouldn't be here answering a post at 10.pm at night. 6.You have never ever spoken to my husband cause if you would have this issue might have been resolved many months ago. You refused to take his calls. 7. My husband never agreed to anything you guys have been giving him the round around. 8.We he finally spoke to Kayla and she promise us the paint so that way we can paint it ourselves. Which we have yet to get. We have never asked your company to replace the whole thing, we just want the paint and we can pay someone else to finished the job. We are willing to compromise something your company is refusing to do. 9. I would hate for this to go any further do the right thing take responsibility for your daughters mistake. I too have the same text and trust me i never agreed to those colors. 10. You care so much about your company's image then you should take a bit more into consideration about your hard working paying clients. The level of incompetence that this company has is astounding. Specifically, Kayla's performance is the worst we have ever encountered. She refuses to admit that she dropped the ball on submitting our plans to the county for approval. We provided all necessary documents (HOA approval) that they need in 11/2022. We then had to provide them TWO MORE TIMES, as they couldn't seem to keep track of the plans. Kayla says the plans were finally submitted in 3/2023, FOUR MONTHS after we initially gave them HOA approval. The county did not approve until 10/2023, SEVEN MONTHS LATER. She then tells us that they are not able to schedule any work until they receive the first installment. We told her she would need to pick up the check from our residence. She did so and provided us with a receipt. The morning the installer comes, he asks if we have the paperwork for the county inspector who was to arrive shortly to do the initial inspection. We received no such paperwork and immediately contact Kayla. She says she gave it to us when she picked up the check. No, she didn't. She then mails us a copy which did not get to us in time for the now rescheduled inspection. Instead, she emails us the 20 page packet to print out. Turns out, the inspector didn't even need the packet of paperwork. He only required one form. One form from the huge packet we were told to print out. How do you not know what is needed? This company has been such a disappointment and does not even deserve one star. read more

So let's just say. I have waited and waited for things to be addressed. Now I don't know what else to do besides post my experience and hope to god that everyone actually listen carefully and not do business with this company! So first came the sales pitch. Which was very good we already knew what we wanted and had a price in mind. So when the guy went through the pitch it was reassuring. As he got to the cost of the lighting and the fans and all that it got crazy. So when discussing it he mention don't worry it is super easy to run the wires and everything. The whole thing is holo inside so you just cut and pop stuff in very easy. Plus save you $250 a light!! Jeez ok that sounds good. We said no to the first rep as we needed to discuss a few things. So they called 2 weeks later like any good sales company would do. Hey we can beat that price let us send our senior guy. Hahaha so he shows up looking barely 30. Senior I doubt it so he did beat the price hahaha by $22 however we wanted to do it already so whatever. Now here comes the fun part! From the time we did it and said yes we waited with no contact for weeks. We finally reached out and said so what's the plan ? When are we scheduling something. They said o it hasn't come in yet but will call you. Ok why do I have to call you to figure it out first. But hey ok first time. Then they scheduled the appointment and it was for over a week out. Cool then no follow up at all! No hey we are still planning to come has anything changed? Nothing! so it gets to About noon no one shows up! What is going on was my question. So I reached out and got told the crew got in an accident and can't drive the truck they are heading back to the office then we will try to get another team out. Ok no problem. Then no response so I finally reached out in the evening so I'm assuming no job today? Meanwhile I took off work to be home. The respond was o ya they couldn't do it today. Ok? Thanks for the heads up? Then we will have to reschedule. Ok no problem. Then nothing for days. So I reach back out again. So when are we rescheduling? O ya let me check and let you know. Again why in the heck do I have to reach out so much!!! Jeez you would think they are paying me! Anyways the story continues to get better. The day of the other schedule appointment same thing happened. No one showed up at the original time and no call ahead. I called and they finally showed up 10:15. O ya when they got here they barely spoke English and didn't even know where they were putting the cover up at. It was pretty bad. So then they were here less than 2 hours and left. Said we have to grab more stuff. 4 hours go by some random girl shows up goes to the backyard doesn't say anything unloads and leaves. Still no crew. Now I'm trying to figure out if someone else dropped things off where in the hell the crew went. No clue contact the company they had no idea what was hAppening. O ya every truck was unmarked random vehicles. So trying to understand how anything was a company vehicle no logos nothing uniformed. So to the first one did the situation even happen the way it was stated. So they stay they finish it and then leave without saying anything. So are they finished? They coming back ? Next day nothing so I finally send a message asking if they were done. Yes they are finished. Ok nice to know? Again why the heck do I have to reach out omg!!!! So as I go to inspect the cover I realize it is one thin sheet of metal which you can't just cut into or it'll leak! So I call in she's all ya you can't do that you need special stuff and you should have got different set up if that's what you wanted. I said it was what I wanted I told both sales reps. O well they didn't tell you correctly! Um thanks so this needs to get fixed. O ya will have the owner call you on Wednesday or Thursday. The the crew left cigarette butts trash in the yard metal shavings all over the lawn and the best part screws. So much so that over the 3 days my 4 year old and 1 and half year old found them and brought them to me. They finally sent someone to clean up the guys came and left cleaning up nothing didn't knock didn't say anything just came into my backyard and left. Freaking crazy. So as I reach out to fix the patio issue they say owners on vacation. Still weeks later and no phone call! They said he Would call and I got nothing. Needed a roof installed as well as fascia boards for the entire house. Got the upsell, and the discount. I was floored by the cost of the estimate, but mostly for the cost of the fascia. The estimate was 10,000....yes 10000 for the fascia board on a house that is a little over 1000 square feet. A small 30 x 30 square back house. When I asked why it was so high, the salesperson quipped "the cost for it is 65.00 a linear foot, because it is treated wood." At that point he lost my business. Wanted to seal the contract then and there. I dont need to be lied to about the cost of something. 5.00 a linear foot maybe. Sadly, there are probably some unsuspecting unknowing folks that have fallen for it. Likely elderly people that dont know the difference. Sad. read more

Here is my review for Tenco Construction. I will keep it short and stick to only the facts. I contacted Tenco Construction on or about the beginning of November for an estimate on a rather large Patio Awning. The salesperson that came over , Brandon was courteous, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. Brandon gave us a price that I felt was reasonable and justified, considering the size of what we needed. Brandon went so far as to put a "rush " on the order to have it install before Christmas. At this point all I had to do was wait. So my wife and I waited and waited and waited. Now before I go on, I want to say that the delay in getting the product was not the fault of Tenco Construction. It seems that the delay was caused by the manufacturing company that provides the actual material. What I was impressed about the most is that Brandon kept in constant touch with me to Let me know what he was doing as far as trying to get my order as soon as as possible. Additionally, Kayla was great in letting me know how Tenco could help and what they were doing behind the scenes to fulfill my order. Anyway, fast forward to the second week of Jan and low and behold my order did arrive. Tenco made sure that I was one of the very first customers to have their patio cover installed. The installers came around and in three days I had my patio cover. The installers were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I want to personally thank Tenco Construction and in particular Brandon and Kayla for a fabulous job. I know that I will have additional needs and will NOT hesitate in using them. With the state of everything that is going on with the world, it is a great pleasure to work with such fine people and a fine company !!! read more

Once they get paid you are no longer a concern or a priority as a customer! I would never recommend this company to anybody, after seeing what they did to my friends patio and how they just keep refused to help them fix (human error on both parties) the issue. My friend was pressure into signing the contract because Kayla wanted to oder the shaded ASAP (within a certain time frame) of course my friend not knowing the codes of each color signed the contract. Later she found out there was a human error in the color. When she notify the company instead of helping her they blamed her and refused to help her fix the issue. My friend has tried to negotiate with them in many ways and they just keep ignoring her. It's been more than 2 months and nothing! She paid over 15K and she just didn't get what she wanted! Please avoid dealing with these type of people. Everything is good until something isn't and then they just ignored u. They honestly don't care in keeping there customer happy! If I can get everyone to come and see what this company did, so they too don't go through this...I would definitely do it. Again please avoid the headache and heartache! Well, I found them in a swap meet OC I went to last year and they offer me a free quote on my windows at my house. He was very nice and easy to talk to. I'd ask him to give me a quote on 3 different rooms Which he did and the price was right with me and a down payment which I did with him. Replace 3 windows that were from the 60's, and they were so bad I had to put plastic over the screens in the winter every year to keep the heat in. Well, I had to replace in 2 bedrooms and a 1 bathroom. They came out measure them twice at different times of course, and a month or so later they, 2 workers installed them without any problem, I kept the old parts. Needless to say they look a hundred percent better than the old ones. I ben replacing sections at a time threw the years. I like the look of them and the gas fill windows just feels better with these type of windows. And no more cold air leaking threw the windows unless I want them to. Poor product and untrustworthy staff & owners. Nothing but constant problems and lies. We do not recommend this company. We found the company at the Eastvale picnic in the park. We signed up for them to come out and give us an estimate for a patio cover. they came out at the scheduled time for the estimate. A few weeks later we got the call from them saying they needed to come back out and re-measure because the estimate and measurements were wrong. that should have been our first clue to immediately go with another company. They came out for the second estimate, and we gave them the benefit of the doubt, and went on ahead signed up to have the patio cover installed. They came out as scheduled. They were supposed to put it up in one day, but instead after having only been here for an hour and a half, they left without saying a word. my husband took a day off of work to be here for the install. When we contacted Kayla to find out what was going on, and when they would be back to finish the job, we got nothing but lies from her. She couldn't be bothered to tell us the truth. Instead she made up fantastical stories. She told us they were getting lunch and would be back. After a couple hours she said their cell phones died and she couldn't get a hold of them. Every single crew members cell phone died at the same time mind you, according to Kayla. After a couple more hours she said they got a flat tire and she didn't know if they would be able to come back out. all she had to do was apologize, be honest with us, and tell us that she had to send them to another job. We would have understood that but we cannot tolerate the blatant lies. We know they are lies because when the crew left they had materials still on their truck. Which is documented on our cameras. When they came back to finish the job the next day (which my husband had to take another day off of work to be here for the install), the materials were no longer on the truck. So clearly the material wasn't for our house as all of our material was in our backyard, confirming they went to another job. Further there was no new tire on the truck, also documented on our cameras. Clearly Kayla and the company do not value honesty as part of their policy. They did eventually return and get the patio cover up and it does look beautiful. However we have had nothing but problems with it ever since. We have had to have them out here twice for leaks. And now pieces of the patio cover are falling off. In my opinion if they had of given our job the proper time, attention and respect that it deserved, and not the rushed haphazard way of putting it up, perhaps there would not have been shortcomings in the building and we wouldn't be having these problems. as of this writing we have not heard back from them to fix our current issue. So as of right now it appears they are not going to stand behind their product nor their warranty. We will update if the issue does get resolved and the final outcome. We saw Tenco's booth at Redlands Market Night and approached the representative when we saw that they do patio covers. We already had a few bids done but hadn't decided on a company yet. We spoke with Cindy and she was quick to get us to fill out a form to okay their office to give us a call to schedule a on-site visit. She mentioned there was a 20% off promo right now and also gave us a coupon for $150 off. The next morning, the office called and we were able to get a visit that afternoon. However, she mentions that she pulled the title of our house and notices there are two owners. She says both owners have to be present for the visit as financing will be discussed. I was put off that they pulled our title information in the first place and when I told her we never mentioned anything about financing, she just stated both owners had to be present and the appointment can be pushed back, if needed. I told her we won't be deciding on the spot and we're only looking for an estimate - will they come out if one owner is present? She pauses and says she'll have to find out and call me back. Weird, right? Another representative calls back and says they pull the titles because they want to be sure the owners are the ones making the additions - okay, but maybe do that if people actually decide to use your service? I don't know - it was weird. Anyway, we decided to just have him out, since another bid wouldn't hurt. The person who came out was their Marketing Director, Eric, who was very nice. There were some things he couldn't answer but since he's not always in the field, I can understand that. He did give us a bid for the work we wanted and geezus, the starting point was nearly $5k more than any of the other bids we received! He then took off the 20% and then some other percentages and the end result was still nearly $1500 MORE than the highest bid we had received so far. A hundred or two difference between companies, I get, but $1500 after all these discounts?! That's way too much. For the same product. I do have to say that he wasn't pushy and when I told him how much over his quote was, he didn't try to change our minds and just packed up his things and left. They offer multiple products so I don't know if it's just the patio covers that are ridiculously priced but at least for the covers, definitely get multiple bids and shop around. read more

i am having a problem before they even install the patio and window, i was told by the salesman that i could get permits on my own to get the patio, so i went to the city of Moreno Valley to get the permits required and they told me that i cannot just get a permit like that, they wanted blueprints so i called the salesman right the next day to tell him what happened, and he told me that i could get the permit right after they installed it and that it would be no problem, well after doing my research and a bunch of phone calls that i will have a problem with CODE, i have been calling this people and they keep ignoring me after a month of texting kayla she finally answer my call and she is trying to charge me 1600 dollars to get the permits because she has to go back to my place and re measure, why didn't she measure that since the beginning. i am not happy at all, i hope the owner reads this and calls me to work this out. read more

Scam artists on google it says they're "Permanently Closed" but some how they still have a guy come out in his fancy car with out a computer or notebook anything to write down and go over with us about our planes. The they sent out 2 young girls to "measure" for concrete. Ha! Then sent out another guy to "talk about the concrete" and convince us to spend more money. 1 month later suddenly can't get a hold of anyone. They called to confirm the appointment prior.... guess what??.... They didn't show up. I waited for an hour and nothing. I called and left a message regarding their failure to show up and to cancel. Hi, we reached Tenco Construction back in June 2020. We need to change our back door to a French door, we saw their ad on FB and thought we should give them a call. We set up an appointment and the day of the appointment I got a text telling us that the rep had a "family emergency" and couldn't make it, so there is a day waisted cancelling plans so we could meet. Later on on July they called us again and we set up an appointment for 1pm , and again moving things around so that we would be free. We got a text the day of the appointment and the excuse this time was "agent was involved in a fender bender and waiting on cops". Seems to me that this company is no reliable and if they can't make the appointment how can we trust they can complete a job. Thankfully we have contacted other companies to do this job. I would hesitate to hire Tenco since they have twice cancel the appointment the day off. read more

Not a fan of their sales tactics. We need our windows replaced, so we signed up for an estimate. Sales rep came out, started out really nice and put together a quote for us. Estimate sounded fair. Product looked good. We said thank you very much, we have a few things going on right now but definitely want this done within the next couple of months. No. He needed us to sign up today, and offered a 20% discount right away. Which leads me to believe that they probably inflate the price 20% so they can offer to take it off when customers inevitably want a few days to think about spending $30,000? I get uncomfortable any time somebody demands an answer right away because it seems like they don't want to give you time to research the company, or shop around. Anyway, by the time we finally convinced this guy that we wouldn't be purchasing TODAY, he had us sign a form saying we rejected the estimate. So I guess that means it's not valid and we aren't welcome to purchase at a later date like we were originally intending. As he was packing up, he started pouting and complaining about his long drive to our house and how he was missing a family event to be here. This is your job? Sorry... I understand that time is valuable. And we really are going to buy some windows. But we probably won't be using this company due to our experience today. read more

My mom and I came across TENCO construction at the Orange County Marketplace because of their booth talking about new roofs and whole house fans. We scheduled for someone to come out and give us more information. About a week later, a representative (who unfortunately no longer works for the company due to policies he didn't agree with) came at his scheduled time. We had a 10AM appointment and he was with us explaining everything and making sure that we understood everything involved. But aside from talking about the products that we were interested in, he was willing to engage in casual and friendly conversation which kept us all in a good mood. We ended up agreeing on a new roof, installing two new windows, and getting a whole house fan installed. While the rep was there, he helped us get all of the paperwork filled out including the payments. Fast forward to getting our windows installed. The installers were FANTASTIC and they worked quickly. Everything was great and they left no mess at all. Whole house fan install: The two guys that came to do the install were wonderful and very kind. They were receptive and cleaned up any mess that the cutting had made. Roof install: Lack of communication. Timeline was extended by a lot. Issues were caused when they said that they would not remove our old solar panel even though the initial rep called the roofers and they agreed to it at that time. It took a long time, but hey it looks great finally. Communication with TENCO staff: TERRIBLE. Our representative luckily gave me his cell phone number so I was able to contact him easily. But any time we tried to contact the office it was painstaking. We got passed around, sent to voicemails, etc. It has all been very frustrating. Just about a week ago, we received a certified letter from the roofing company that TENCO hired to do our roof stating that a lien was being placed on our house because we failed to pay the company. But we were positive that we already paid the entire amount we owed. Upon contacting TENCO, we were told that they would contact the other company and they would get back to us. They never called back. I called the office and we got voicemail. I messaged our representative and he was the middle man for conversation between us and the office. We called again the next day and got an office assistant who said that our question could not be answered unless the office manager was there and she was out for the day so that was not an option. So we called again the following day. We finally talked to the office manager and she said that they contacted the other company and they said that it was a mistake on their part and that the lien would be removed. We asked for written documentation that the lien would be removed and we have yet to get any confirmation on our request. I was very happy with the initial time we spent working with this company, but the lack of communication and the lack of respect to our time and requests have made us lose faith in this company. I purchased a 10x10 stand alone patio cover from Tenco C.C. The product and installation crew were exceptional. However, that was the extent of the positive experience. After eight weeks, my patio cover was installed with the posts 1 1/2 ft. in from the outer edge of the cover significantly reducing the functional area of the patio. I understand the post positioning is required for the integrity of the structure; however, this information was never relayed to me; no detailed plans, drawing and diagrams. This literally looks like a Gazebo. Had I known this, I would have changed my plans/ design. Company refused to provide detailed plans prior to beginning work. Multiple requests for a home visit to discuss and finalize the details of the project were declined. The project manager stated it was not company's "protocol," and explained the visit made by a staff member, few days after the contract was signed, to remeasure was considered the job site visit. Incidentally, I was not home during this visit. Despite the project manager's apology and stating that making me happy was the company's "main concern," the sub standard planning was dismissed as a "miscommunication." (See screen shot) Moreover, my emails to management staff have gone unanswered and I have yet to receive a phone call. Adding insult, a representative proffered a remedy, but it would require me to pay an additional $4,800. Lesson learned, so please demand detailed plans and proceed with caution read more

I have had the best experience with this company. The initial quote was reasonable and what I was expecting for a whole house fan. The salesman answered my questions and what he could not answer he called and clarified with the company. I appreciated this as I have had others try to BS when they did not know the answer. The office manager called promptly to set up an appointment to install. The two workman who came were friendly and respectful of my property. The installation was done in a little over 2 hours. The fan is so quiet and cools down the house in about 10 min. It also can be kept on all night which keeps everything cool enough to sleep without a room fan on. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a reliable job done in a timely manner for a reasonable price. read more

I found Tenco online when I was researching the HERO program. Terry Swensen came out and gave us a demonstration and then a quote that honored the 20% discount shown on their website. He helped us through the application process and made it easy for us. When they came to install the windows, we were a bit apprehensive but the two installers were great and we were very impressed with the installation and finishing. They did a great job and cleaned up everything. Plus when one of the blinds they put back up fell, a rep came out and fixed it as we were unable to do so. The windows we replaced were the original ones from 1984 and it is a real treat to have new ones that are draft free, block the heat, and open and close like a charm. We are so glad we did this. Showed up on-time, professional, kept work area clean (layed covering down and used vacuum unit to keep dust/drywall particles at a minimum). They completed the job in a timely manner and accommodated our requests in regards to the install. I highly recommend this company for Quiet Cool whole house fans. The only reason this Company got any rating at all was because of the installers...This Company sold us a Front Door under a year ago and it warped...Now we are dealing with calling the Manufacturer ourselves and with absolutely NO help from Tenco...They have told us that they take no responsible now and it has nothing to do with them...Contract says different...We should have stuck with Lowes or Dixie Lumber...Never EVER will we recommend this company..Does not stand behind their products... read more

Today I had two men come out to give me a estimate for a new roof. When I went out to greet the men I was asked where my husband was?!! I explained that he wasn't home and nor will he be when I'm home because we work different schedules. The men then told me that my husband would NEED to be here at the time of the estimate. I asked why?? They told me that it was because he would need to see the product and hear their information. So I confirmed that because my husband isn't here you guys will not give me a estimate..and they confirmed that he would need to be home. I sent them on their way and now my day off has been wasted by waiting around for these chauvinistic men to show up. The rating that I'm leaving today doesn't even deserve a star. If you are a woman looking to have your roof replaced or anyother work done by these jerks don't waste your TIME!!!! Apparently they only want business from men!!!
