We always start with the Brussels sprouts--they are absolutely excellent and definitely one of our favorites. I usually order the skirt steak, which is getting harder to find at restaurants these days, and Granville does a great job with it. The atmosphere is also fantastic, especially on the top floor on a nice evening. My only criticism is that the service in the bar area can be a little slow at times, and it sometimes takes a while for someone to get to you. Other than that, we've really enjoyed every visit. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place we continue to come back to. I highly recommend Granville!

The last time I was there, I had a Farmhouse Beets appetizer - roasted organic beets, lemon-oregano vinaigrette, feta, arugula, candied pecans - which was delicious. For the main course I got the Chipotle Chicken Club - chicken, bacon, avocado, jack cheese, red onion, chipotle aioli on ciabatta - really good and it also came with potato chips (were a bit too oily). For dessert, I had the Yuzu Olive Oil Cake - oh my, it was sooo good, loved it. Berry Lemonade was good but a little too sweet for my taste. Arturo was our server and was attentive and helpful. Overall, a really good experience. I'll definitely come back :)

We enjoyed the corn agnolotti, edamame humus, and the melon with prosciutto as appetizers. I especially liked the sea bass entree. It was beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. The salmon was also tasty (we shared plates). The apple strudel was yummy as was the dessert with lemons curd, blackberries and melt-in-your -mouth shortbread cookies. Almost forgot to mention the watermelon drop cocktail. What a perfect refreshing summer drink. Definitely worth trying. Well done, Arbour! I'll be back.

I asked nicely if it would be OK to keep those on the warmer until the main course is served, he silently took them away. Then not 3 minutes later all of the food was delivered except the oysters, our appetizer. It kinda ruined the experience for us forcing us to eat every at once, quickly before it was cold. Killed conversation, Killed the vibe. And if was coursed properly we probably would have ordered another bottle of wine. So it Killed the bill and the tip too. It wasn't busy at all on a Saturday night, so it's not like the kitchen was slammed and accidentally pushed everything quickly. The oysters came out last, and we never got the focaccia, nuff said. We didn't bother complaining. We didn't want to be difficult and we aren't looking for a freebee. But at that price point they should know how to course a meal. Sad, but I don't think this restaurant will be here in 6 months. So go now if you have been wanting to try it.

QUICK TAKE Get: Fish of the Day, Lamb, Moroccan-style Mushrooms Skip: Duck was our one miss Know: This is a good place for adventurous eaters who like sharing dishes and trying unexpected flavor combinations. Holy Saints does a nice job of making food feel creative without crossing over into "trying too hard." There are a lot of different influences running through the menu, and several dishes had us talking about the flavors and ingredients as much as the food itself. What we tried: Moroccan-style Mushrooms - A great example of what Holy Saints does well. Earthy, savory mushrooms with contrasting textures from the nuts, thinly sliced radish, herbs and crispy elements on top. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked together. Definitely one to share. Fish of the Day - One of the highlights of the meal and something I would absolutely order again. The fish came over rice in a deeply flavored sauce with peppers, herbs and fresh vegetables. Colorful, comforting and much more interesting than the standard fish-and-vegetables preparation you see at a lot of restaurants. Lamb - Another winner. Rich, hearty and well seasoned, with the sauce pulling everything together. If you're visiting for the first time and like lamb, this would be high on my list. Duck - Good flavor, but it seemed like the duck sauce could have benefited from a little more time to rest before being sliced and served. We joked that we should have brought a bag, taken it home and eaten it as leftovers instead. Sometimes duck might just need a night to think about what it did. What I liked most about Holy Saints is that the food wasn't boring. The kitchen takes familiar ingredients and puts them together in ways you probably wouldn't think of yourself, which makes it a fun restaurant for ordering several things and sharing around the table.

Prosciutto was a supplement here and needs it imo for that oomph, otherwise a fine risotto dish but would pass unless it speaks to you - Barnyard Bolognese - a bit underwhelming to start, just too one-note for me, but it eventually grew on me and would get it again if I wanted a rich pasta - Duck Magret Au Poivre - easily my favorite dish here and what I would come back for and recommend for people, tender duck with the right amount of fat and a great sauce. Fries are a bit thicker than I would like, but still enjoyed it. - Seasonal apple pie - more of a danish if I had to describe it to someone, but nice texture and more importantly, not too sweet!
