Grabbin a quick din. I had a craving for Hawaiian BBQ so I pulled up to this new ONO Hawaiian BBQ. Got the BBQ combo dinner subbed rice with extra Mac + the crispy shrimp appetizer. The food was fresh and came out quickly. It was all well seasoned and delicious.

The food was 'ok.' I just didn't think it was special. As a matter of fact, I like L&L much better than this place. I don't think I would come back. I got the Aloha plate which offers 2 items on their combo. I got the fire island chicken and bbq beef. The chicken was better than the beef, but both were only 'ok.'

Great new South Lake location, 15 min walk from my house. Portion size comparable to other locations. I only wish I could choose ANY meat-seafood combo I like instead being limited to their set combos. (For example if you want galbi ribs you are limited to combos with bbq chicken only, no seafood or Island fire chicken either, which is a real bummer.) Also you cannot buy items a' la carte like you can at Panda. Having said that, the food is high quality and tastes great!

Decided to try Ono Hawaiian BBQ, recently opened near me. The first is conveniently located next to a donut shop, so carb away. The musubi were really good and not overstuffed with rice like some other places. The beef musubi is my favorite, really tender beef. The mini plate meals are plenty generous. The prices are good, so great value.

Aloha plate with white fish and Island Fire Chicken; yum! However, portions were smaller than other Ono locations.

The good: Taste was on point and comparable to other Ono locations. I ordered the aloha plate with white fish and island fire chicken to share. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. One of the employees even brought an extra plate and fork because he knew we were sharing. All-in-all, it was a good experience. The only complaint I have is that the portion sizes seemed noticeably smaller here compared to other Ono locations. So while the location looks nice and the taste of the food is good, I would likely choose to go to one of the other locations to have larger portions. While my husband and I did have enough to eat, we definitely didn't come home with the customary leftovers. My honest rating for this location was 3.5 stars; however, the service and taste bumped it up to 4 rather than 3.

We attended thier "Grand Opening" a couple of weeks ago ... We had a 2 for 1 mixed bbq plate with kalbi, chick & beef. Delicious. Super nice staff... Ribbon cutting .... Live dancers n musicians... Plus we were winners in thier raffle. We were spoiled & impressed! Five stars!!!!

Chicken katsu was still pink and slimy inside. Please cook it longer! Can easily get sick from raw chicken.

Love this place but yesterday I notice the chicken katsu was undercooked and slimy inside. Please cook it bit longer and check it after cutting to make sure it's cooked throughly. Undercook chicken can easily get you sick

Opening Day for this location. Always good food! Quick friendly service. Front entrance from Lake. Back entrance by parking lot used as Exit only.

    Mini Chicken Katsu

Like Zippy's back in Hawaii. Food is good and consistent. Price not bad. They give plenty. Counter girl took care of my order right away. Place is clean. Hawaiian music on the speakers. . I always get lunch here when I'm visiting and stocking up at Essence. Mini plate is nuff.

Getting ready to dig into my Hawaiian BBQ Mix.

We placed a large takeout order and everything from the service to all of our food was amazing. Some of my favorite items we ordered included the - Cast Iron Cornbread - Ribs and Two Meat Combo - Gus's Famous Burger The cornbread was divine, especially with that honey butter . Definitely a solid appetizer, but complemented the main dishes perfectly. The meats were prepared well; tender and flavorful. The bbq sauces paired well and merely elevated each of the meats. Gus's Famous Burger was one of my favorite burgers I've had recently. Ordered the potato salad as my side and couldn't have been more satisfied. I'd recommend any of these items if you're on the fence. I think it's important to review that we had all of this as a takeout order, so I can only imagine how much more delicious this would be if we dined in and ate everything right away. Gus's Barbecue is definitely going to be a repeat visit for us. There's so much more we want to try off of their menu. Can't wait to come back soon and dine in!

They were out of the brisket -- the one thing they're known for -- and said more wouldn't be ready for a couple of hours. Not a great start. Yes, orders were taken, food was served but no sense of friendliness or kindness was felt. The menu was large and varied. We settled on a few things to try and wished we could have ordered more. The Greek salad was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced. The chicken breast kabob plate was so generous in its portions, the chicken skewers were huge. The rice was wonderful as was everything else. We also got the egg boat to share and the bread was incredible. We definitely want to go back and try other wood fired items there. I'm sure the pizza is wonderful if it uses the same bread. Pricing on everything was very reasonable considering all the factors. On the screen it says "food takes 25-30min" I waited 50 min... There were at least 4 people waiting for their orders. I only ever order takeout from this location and there's definitely things that could be improved. The location is on busy Colorado so parking is a nightmare. The workers here have absolutely no sense of urgency. Often I've been the only customer picking up and the speed of service could only be described as "meandering" to find and hand me my order. As previously mentioned, there's no issue with the food. It's juicy and flavorful. But there's inconsistencies like sometimes I get the side radish and utensils but other times not at all. The attitude of the workers you interact with are that of someone who has absolutely no pride in their work and are simply tolerating customers. It would go a long way to improve this location if workers were trained to do everything as efficiently and quickly as possible. The cost is also astronomically high for chicken. A whole chicken is $31 before any taxes or fees. It's not competitive with other Korean fried chicken places and you have to imagine part of the cost is due to the location. I would be sad if this branch closed, since it is closest to where I live, but it wouldn't be a shock that it did close. There's a lot of low hanging easy changes that could be made. Better training from management, more local deals, and focusing on customer service.
