Terrible fried rice tasted very oily and off. I threw it away when I got home. I would not recommend it. My party did enjoy their sushi.

My Girlfriend and I go to Teppan Fuji at least once every other week. They have all you can eat sushi for about 40$ for 2 people. Considering that's 2 rolls (give or take) from one of the higher end places in town, you really can't beat it. As college students, you almost get your money's worth, and that's hard to say now a days. They have a newer sushi chef that is a bigger guy and wears the full robe (I don't even know what it's called), and that guy can really throw down. We always get great rolls on nicely dressed plates from him and we always love when he is working when we come by. The owner, and the other regular chef, (no offense) can't compare to that guys rolls. I really want to meet him actually. Other than that, the place is pretty clean and the staff is ok. They have a decent selection and I recommend that you go at least once. And make sure you are hungry too. The place isn't perfect, but I give it 5 stars for the value and getting me into sushi. read more

I heard from a family member that I should try Teppan because the food is amazing. As such, I tried and ordered Tempura Udon and edamame. When I ordered through DoorDash and received my food I was greatly disappointed. First of all, Udon broth should never be milky! Secondly, when I took a sip it was literally chicken noodle broth! No sign or taste of dashi, mirin, usukuchi (light colored soy sauce), or even just a little of regular soy sauce. Straight chicken noodle broth. And they even put cabbage in there (￣^￣) ... I understand that on the mainland some ingredients are hard to come by, but the restaurant should really address that this soup is a type of chicken noodle soup. This place is fucking horrible. The manager is a dick and the food is horrendous. The amount of rice they give in their sushi is a scam. If you have not ate here before, do not go because the amount of rice they give you is impossible to finish. They know what they are doing by charging for sushi rice if unfinished. Horrible experience and manager took pictures and videos of us when we approached him respectfully. The price for the all you can eat may be tempting but they will get you with the portion of rice. We were in town to go to Snowbowl and needed a place for dinner. I used Yelp and found Teppan Fuji was very close by. We had a party of 5 and were seated within 10 minutes with no reservation on a weekend. I was super happy since I love teppan. We were seated with another party, but we didn't mind. It was pretty busy, but got very good service. This place was really fun. I loved the show and the extra special drink they give you during the show. My husband and son loved that part. My daughter didn't want teppanyaki and ordered sushi instead, which she seemed to enjoy since she ate it all. The rest of us had teppan and it was very good. The chef was very entertaining and talkative. He was the best part of it which made it very fun. We were all laughing and having a great time. I cannot wait to go back and eat there again. read more

I was excited to see what they had to offer in town. FOOD: The sushi here for lunch is nothing special in my opinion. You don't expect the best/expensive rolls to be offered, but still, the flavor just wasn't there. SERVICE: The service was again nothing special. We were seated, had our drinks brought, and initial food order placed, but after all of that, we didn't see our waitress until she brought the check. That to me was a little off putting and didn't really make me feel like returning. OVERALL: Overall Teppan Fuji is a decent place. I want to start by saying that our experience was mostly positive. We loved our Hibachi chef Genesis, the guy was funny, entertaining, and he made our food good. Our server was nice but that's kind of where the problem begins. See, we had a reservation at 7pm, we arrived at 6:50pm and they sat us down right away. This sounds great until they sat us there for 45 minutes while they made us wait for the chef. Why have a reservation if you're just going to have us sit there for almost an hour? They didn't even communicate with us why the wait was so long but I assume they were waiting until the table was filled to get more bang for their buck (Or inverse). We showed up there was not one single customer in there and immediately the young male host was extremely uninviting & cut us off while ordering. He was rushing and extremely judging. First red flag. Second of all there was a miscommunication with an order about a sushi roll & even whenever the person said he will take the roll for the inconvenience and he rolled his eyes and walked away mid conversation during that interaction. During the chef cooking, he was not very interactive which is whatever because the food tasted fine. He was cleaning the grill with water splashing on our already made food. Not even 5 mins into our meal they emptied the trash and grease trap while we were eating which smelled disgusting while one of our friends is pregnant so she didn't eat her food. One of our friends decided to talk to the manager she was very dismissive and told us to speak to the waiter ourself if we have a problem. Working in this industry, this is not safe and can only escalate a situation. The host states "if you have a problem just buy this place and be my boss" and even cussed stating to "go f yourself before you f me" I have literally never left a review in my life but I cannot fathom the audacity of the server and the management allowing this to happen and escalate the way that it did. After being sat, we were told we needed to move seats around because everyone wasn't purchasing Hibachi meals, which is completely inappropriate in the first place, and second this information should of been given to us prior to making a reservation and seating us. If you want to feel rushed this is the place to go ! If I could I would give 0 stars for my experience at this establishment. We were a party of 20 celebrating 2 birthdays. We were being rushed to sit down while waiting for some of our party trying to find parking and having to walk from the hotel or other strip mall area with the parking lots full of snow and ice . We were told for us to tell them to just start parking behind other peoples cars. So this used to be my favorite place for sushi but after receiving this order and the last I think I might consider going elsewhere. I called the restaurant informing them of the potential hazard my food posed to me if ingested, my sushi had racid avocado, and requested a remake of my order. After a long back and forth on the 1st call I resolved to going back to said restaurant with the food to show them my order. The restaurant then called me back and I explained my situation again, the caller lead me to believe she would obliged to my request. I soon found that to be misguided as I was greeted rather hostile upon my arrival. The hostess seemed unwilling to help me and would rather berate me like I was at fault. I felt that the atmosphere began to escalate in hostility so I asked to speak to someone else. Of course this displeased the hostess and she promptly got someone from the sushi line to come speak to me. He seemed rather polite but also seemed to think I was at fault for the displeasure in the air as he did not listen to what I was saying about my order having RANCID avocado. He insisted all was fresh without even taking a glance at my order and both refused to remake my order. I then asked if the restaurant owner was available for me to speak to and the hostess had informed me that the man i spoke to was the owner. I know this to be false as I had personally seen the owner during my wedding anniversary when the police were called to the establishment for the assault on a former employee. This blatant bold face lie is why I am no longer giving this establishment my business for the foreseeable future. As for me because I ordered from uber I am obligated to go through a third party process for a refund. I hope they do better at checking thier inventory and hope that my case is the only case of this nature. read more

Tried this restaurant twice. First time was for lunch with the lunch special. All you can eat sushi, but you'd better guess right because if you have leftover food they charge you extra. Have you heard of a more ridiculous and dishonest policy? Especially when you're sushi is below subpar. Our sushi was made with warm rice. The tuna was ridiculously pink, and of poor color, clearly showing it's a frozen product. Service is not there. The girls are nice and pretty but there's no one managing so they stand in the server station and play on their phones. But... I thought I'd give a second try, this time trying the kitchen menu rather than the sushi. Ever drink a cup of cooking oil straight? No? Then you haven't eaten here. Jeez, as the chef I'd be mad my cooks were wasting this much oil. Honestly, I can't express how much fat was used in these dishes. And not good fat! Cheap, disgusting vegetable oil. I have family and guest visiting from Georgia and at least 2 of them had nothing to eat. I WILL NEVER ORDRR FOOD FROM TEPPAN FUJI & GRUBHUB FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION. They cannot be trusted. He brought the food we missed and then some. Because of his sincere apologies, I will give this restaurant another try.
