It was actually a very good experience from the beginning. Servers were nice. One in particular was interesting with thick New York accent possibly jersey. Honestly, it was kind of refreshing to hear something so different. There was plenty of seating in space all throughout. We got there a little early for lunch, but it was perfect timing as it began to fill up within the hour. Simple menu, which leads to simple options. Everything tasted fresh. The pho broth was right on the money. But really surprised us here was the fried rice it had incredible flavor. The only thing that would need any work in that area would be the parking and roads as they have a lot of potholes. Ordered Thai tea and Vietnamese iced coffee. Coffee was strong and delicious. Thai tea could've used more cream/milk, it was a bit watered down. We also ordered spring rolls and two Special Combination pho. They forgot our spring rolls. But because it was busy, I decided to leave it be, thinking maybe they just forgot to put it on the. tab. The pho was decent. Wasn't bad but not the greatest. They were stingy with the sauces though. Had to ask for more. The water they provided tasted bad. It took them about 20 minutes before they came to take our order. They forgot about us since I saw them take two other tables' order that came after we did. It was also very loud and sometimes hard to hear my partner. Went to pay and the spring rolls were on the bill. Told them about it and they offered to give us the spring rolls free of charge. Pretty good bowl of pho. Got the combo (minus the tripe) and an order of egg rolls. The broth had good flavor and the egg rolls were nice and crispy. Asked for more hoisin and it came out in a Rooster bottle so that is pretty legit Asian . Waiter sounded like he should be working in the neighboring Italian restaurant so that added some color to the experience. Ordered pho and two Thai teas. The pho was ok. The Thai teas could use a bit more milk and I agree it was watered down. I asked the manager if we could EXCHANGE it for another drink he said "yeah but I would charge you double". I asked why he said "what am I going to do with it?" I said "well we don't like it so we would just rather have another drink" He basically just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. The server finally came over and asked if how everything was. We told him about the situation and if we asked for the teas to be taken off our bill. He said "you can speak to my employer" Meanwhile the manager was sitting right next to the table listening to the whole conversation. The server just said "we already gave it to you so there's nothing we can do" I get it, you're a small business but next time treat customers a little better. This place has really gone downhill... I used to love coming here a couple years ago but I sadly won't be back. They have increased their prices but decreased the portions and quality of the food. I decided to give it one last shot and it was so disappointing! I ordered togo about an hour before they closed and it took 45 minutes to make the food even though they said it would take 20-30 minutes. It was busy so I didn't mind waiting and even left a nice tip. Drove about 5 minutes and realized they forgot a whole entrée that I had paid for. I called them 10 minutes before they closed asking to get the food I had paid for. They told me that their kitchen was closed (even though they had just made my food) and said I could come back for a cash refund. They gave me $20 which was pretty lame in my opinion but I just wanted to eat my food. When I finally got home to eat, they burnt my egg rolls and only gave me 5 when there should have been 6! The meat (especially the pork) in their vermicelli bowl was disgusting and super fatty. I work at a restaurant and if someone's food is not right after the kitchen is closed, the kitchen has to reopen and make it right. I will not be coming back. read more

Who doesn't love a hot bowl of pho on a cold rainy day? The pho broth is decent and there is always a good amount of ingredients and just one of my favorite go to's here in FLG! It's not the best pho I've ever had but definitely one of the best in Flagstaff! Good spring rolls, curry chicken and vermicelli bowls as well. They do a great job of packaging their to go orders so there's no spillage! The only thing that gets me is how much they've increased their prices! I think they changed owners! Four years ago you could get a bowl of pho here for $10 and now it's up to $16-$17 and they want to charge $1 for things like their chili sauce! I know food costs and wages have gone up but that is a bit ridiculous! Was really wanting Pho today, but was extremely disappointed. For over $50, we got the combination pho, vegetarian Pho, and vegetarian spring rolls. My boyfriend got the combination, and it was full of disgusting fat pieces (one literally looked like a ballsack) and half of it was completely inedible. The vegetarian pho was just salt water and boiled carrots (also had 2 full half ears of corn in the soup that was super random). The spring rolls were burnt on the inside and wet on the outside, I don't even know how that's possible. Food: BEST PHO IVE EVER HAD. I'm not sure if it's just because of the day I came in but omg (I'm going back today so will find out!). I can't say anything for the other food because we only ordered pho and spring rolls, the spring rolls were okay they had a lot less meat in them than I was expecting (I asked to remove the shrimp due to an allergy but wasn't compensated with extra pork it seems), the pork was odd in my opinion and quite dry and grey and iceberg lettuce which I'm not used to in a spring roll. Regardless, this is literally the best pho I've ever eaten and I worked at a Vietnamese owned pho restaurant in Tempe and it just simply does not compare, so if you've been looking for pho this is the spot! Service: the person who served us did not give us their name, however they were amazing and provided excellent attention and speed to getting our food out and making sure everything was to our liking without being overbearing at all, which can be a hard balance! They also are usually the person out front on the regular so service is probably always this great! Ambiance: quite empty from the times I've come in to pick up DoorDash orders and on a Monday evening (which makes sense). The manager just decided to charge me $18 for 2 small cups of broth because "this is a special off-menu item". Little does he or she know the importance of customer experience. I gave the associate who checked me out the chance to right the ship and drop the price and he stated that this was the manager's decision. Today was my first experience at MDM Pho. Today was also definitely my LAST experience at MDM Pho. I encourage the manager to use sound judgment in the future when pricing ad hoc items. Again, always put yourself in the shoes of the customer. Paying $18 for broth? You completely missed the mark here. If I owned this restaurant, I would fire this manager immediately... poor customer experience is unacceptable. read more

Knew the prices were suspiciously low, so I ordered two entrees for takeout, curry chicken and the stir fry--$37.18 total. Stir fry probably had 6 little shrimp, a gigantic cluster of vegetables, and a child's portion of very thin noodles. My coworkers and I have ordered lunch multiple times recently. This restaurant is a hidden Gem! It is extremely clean and inviting. Now about the food... Pho is top quality. The meat and broth, noodles and fresh veggies equal delicious. I also tried the stir fry rice noodles with beef and veggies. That was phenomenal.
