Yakima is a desert in terms of good teriyaki. Proportionally, the west side of the state has as many teriyaki joints as Yakima has Mexican joints. We have tried most teriyaki joints in Yakima at this point and this place is head and shoulders above the other offerings. Our first time in I got the teriyaki chicken and beef combo. He made it spicy for me and it was delicious. Today we were back and I liked the beef so much that I skipped the chicken and got the beef and egg roll combo instead so that we could try the egg roll. The beef was as delicious as the first time and the egg rolls are the best in town hands down. My wife ordered the chicken fried rice both times we were in and she really likes it. The proprietor is very nice and makes everything to order. If you want your lunch in 5 minutes go to Safeway or Panda Express, if you like you food freshly made, this is the place. Yes, it will take around 10-15 minutes to get it but it is definitely worth the wait. The dining room was clean and pleasant. read more

Holy Heck! This is absolutely not what I was expecting! I got into town a little late, saw this place on Yelp, and figured I'd give it a go... There seemed to be one guy working, but he was very friendly. I ordered teriyaki chicken with no rice, veggies instead. No extra charge, cool! It took a little while for my food to be ready, but nothing super crazy. I got it to go. When I opened it up I was shocked at how much was in there! It was a lot of chicken and a lot of veggies! The teriyaki sauce was perfect - not too sweet or thick. The veggies were done perfectly - not soggy, still a little crunchy. The chicken was delicious pieces of chicken breast. This was pretty exceptional for just teriyaki chicken. Try it - it's delicious! read more

LOVED THIS FOOD! This place is kind of randomly in a little strip plaza so I kept forgetting to try it. However, tonight I did and I was very impressed. You can tell the food is fresh, the vegetables were fresh, not frozen. Everything was cooked perfectly. I'm super picky about how meat is cooked, and the beef in my bento box was PERFECT. Not dry, marinated just right. Yes others have said it takes a while, but that's because he's cooking it right there for you. There's also a little smoothie/Red Bull bar in there. I really wanted to give this place more stars. I was very hopeful about the food since they have great reviews and high scores, but I am sorry to say this was one of my least favorite places to get chicken and gyoza. Unfortunately, my stomach has decided that it did not like the food. Portions are okay in size. You get a few pieces of chicken, yakasoba, a tiny scoop of rice, and three gyoza. The atmosphere on the inside of the location is very dark, black paint on the ceiling tiles and walls, dark tables and chairs. You could tell that the fans needed cleaning as there was loads of dust on them and around the vents in the ceiling. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

The owner did a great job of keeping his business open while maintaining social distancing and cleanliness when interacting with us during the coronavirus pandemic. He wiped his glove and the payment machine in front of us and he is only serving takeout. After ordering, he brought our food out to us in the car. Food here is always tasty, and prices are low compared to the quality and amount of food. I will continue supporting this restaurant and bring business to it. read more

Just know you won't go Wrong ordering from this restaurant! Our picky son loves the chicken tenders covered in Panko and my husband often will order his own creation and they always accommodate. What a dissapointment! I haven't been able to find bubble tea anywhere, and I did here plus reasonable price on sushi. Sounds great right? WRONG! The sushi was so bad, I ordered a simple Cali roll and as soon as you pulled it out of the bag it stunk like fish. I still pushed on and the crab stick was DRY. Dry! I order sushi all the time and that's a first. The bubble tea was absolutely nasty, i don't know what they used but it tasted nothing like pineapple, and had an extremely odd texture. they also don't do the tapioca right. It was extremely hard and not chewy and it was bitter. I also was gonna order a tuna roll, and the girl informed me it's tuna from a can! That's just not correct or right. I had one bite and a few sips and threw it away, what a waste of 12 bucks! Not good at all, so disappointed. It's very rarely somewhere let's you down that hard. read more

Where to begin..... It took an hour and a half to get here. I was prepared for an hour long wait but an hour and a half is pretty ridiculous. My son got chicken strips. Pretty simple. One wasn't cooked all the way through. My husband got chicken teriyaki that tasted like what you buy in the frozen food section of the store. I ordered a tuna roll and a dragon roll. It would have been nice to know that their interpretation of a tuna roll is tuna salad. The dragon roll was comprised of previously frozen or refrigerated imitation crab because it was stone cold and the seaweed was starting to break apart and resembled mush. The rest of the meal on my plate was not impressive and maybe it has to do with me ordering close to closing time! Cold noodles mixed w/ uncooked vegetables! The cabbage onions and zucchini were totally raw not sauteed even a little bit! The bottom line is if I just want to get fed I'll stay home and when I eat out I do expect a little bit of a special touch!! Local teriyaki and yakisoba establishment. Sushi on the menu, DONT. Decided to eat here based on some positive Yelp reviews. My first visit I ordered a spicy crab roll and a chicken yakisoba & goyza combo plate. The crab roll wasn't that appetizing as the rice seemed a little dry and it didn't taste like any spicy crab roll I had eaten before. I just assumed it was because of the imitation crab. My goyza tasted like it was freezer burned. The casing or dough tasted stale. The chicken yakisoba was decent and there was lots of it. Today I ordered combo fried rice and a spicy tuna roll. The portions again are large on the rice and yakisoba, no complaint, it was good. The sushi roll on the other hand was terrible!. To my surprise they made the spicy tuna roll with canned tuna fish!! I called to ask why it is not stated on their menu. The owner said that no raw fish is used in their sushi. Well had I known I would never have ordered Sushi from this establishment in the first place. Owner was kind about my disappointment and willing to replace my roll with something else. read more

I have never been in a place that had better teriyaki. Some are as good or have fancy places. None better. Very clean little nondescript strip mall buried back in Selah. WHO KNEW? Restaurant is quite small but big enough. I ordered beef teriyaki and bbq pork. Outstanding! She asked if I wanted the pork cold or warmed up. Not sure anywhere has asked me before? Warm that pork up! It was very good. The beef teriyaki was maybe a little sweeter than I like, everyone has different tastes, but the teriyaki flavor was there! How often do you get some soy flavored syrup? Very fresh veggies and everything was cooked right then and done perfectly. Very nice folks and I enjoyed the experience of eating there. First time take out. Dinner came hot and full of flavor. Fresh ingredients and tasty sauce. Hubby had teriyaki chicken and I had combination chicken and egg roll. He's not a fan of cabbage but I love it so I ate his. I heated up the egg rolls in the microwave but they are to die for. Crispy and delicious with a side of sweet and sour sauce. I had some hot mustard that completed it. Definitely will go again and highly recommend it. Went back again and changed my rating after saw the immaculate kitchen and work surfaces. The owner told me that he's from Hong Kong and he loves it here. He accommodated our special requests like not putting cabbage on the Chicken Teriyaki for my husband. Saw this place taking my niece to school awhile ago, did some research online. Went in and ordered togo. Got the chicken teriyaki and a small side of yakisoba. The teriyaki was not too sweet, fresh vegetables, and a huge pile of steamed rice. Soo delicious, and the yakisoba was some of the best noodles i have ever had. Complete service failure!!!! I've eaten here twice...or I should say, I have eaten here once and waited 40 minutes after ordering for food that never showed up. The first time, service was slow, very slow, for a place that wasn't very busy during the lunch hour but we chalked it up to the food being freshly prepared. I will say, I was happy with the portion size and the food quality the first time out, so happy we decided to give it another try knowing that service would probably be slow again and we allowed for extra time for that. The place was not particularly busy this evening but it also only had 2 people working. However, after sitting and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and realizing that people who arrived and ordered after us were being served and as the time approached for us to leave because we had theater tickets, I went and asked when our food was going to come out. What followed was a frantic search for our order, another comment about "we are very busy" which was thrown at the time we ordered too, they offered to "make it now" and I told them it was time for us to leave now and how long would "make it now" take and we were told only 10 minutes to which I declined the offer and then it took another 5 minutes to get the refund. So instead of bento box and teriyaki, we had a rushed run through McDonald's drive thru so we weren't starving through the show we were headed to this evening. I was looking forward to a place with decent food quality in restaurant challenged Selah, and alas, even though the first time was good, I will never go back again. Clearly, despite sitting in the dining area for 40 minutes, no one working behind the counter cared enough to ask, are those people eating? Frankly, I don't care how busy the person behind the counter perceived business to be, if its that busy, hire someone else to help. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant based on the lack of a reaction from the people who gave the bad customer service, so bad in fact, I won't ever give this place another chance. When you fail to produce the food ordered, you lose a customer forever. read more
