We didn't like being served margaritas in plastic, dingy cups, and the service was super slow despite hardly anyone in there. They also got my companion's food order wrong. I met a friend for dinner. We both were excited to try this place. When we walked in, we both loved the ambiance. The hostess was very friendly and seated us right away. The restaurant was not too busy, but we did have reservations, which I suggest because it did get busy later on and the restaurant is not too big. We both got cantaritos for our drink. For our meal I got the tacos dorado and my friend ordered the quesa birria taco. Although we both enjoyed our food, we both thought that for the price, it wasn't enough food. No sides come with the main entree. Also, after my friend gave our server her order, she asked about the octopus. Once our server explained what it was, my friend tried to change her order. She didn't try to change her order after our server left. She tried to change it before our server even took my order and was told she couldn't change her order. We both thought that it was very strange that she couldn't change her order. Although I enjoyed my drinks and food, I don't know if I would return or recommend this place. Busy place specially around happy hour. It's ok for kids. The women bartender I wouldn't order drinks from. The attitude and her drinks don't come out as good as the other bartender drinks. Even if we were on time for our reservation we had special-needs child with us and they did not care. We even had a senior citizen with us, and they did not care. and the food was not good We got sick after eating some of their tacos when we told the manager, he simply told us nobody else got sick so it wasn't. His problem and The manager did not care. The only thing we liked was the mariachis That sang happy birthday I do not recommend this restaurant. The Ambience with the mariachis is the only thing that is good. The food and customer service was not we spent $250 for a party of 5 we all had one plate and Drank water expect my son He had a $12 chocolate milk . Yes there chocolate milk was $12 and tip is automatically charged on your bill $33 they do not tell you this ahead of time. Came to this place to have dinner and the experience wasn't that pleasant. Restroom weren't working so they had you using the employees restroom and the sink was broken, broken where it was having halfway to the floor. Drinks are very expensive and flavorless, this ain't LA for them to be $20 and to that matter tasting awful. Food is blah, I ordered the carne en su jugo and had to return it because it was cold, the plate is almost $30 so for a drink and a plate of food you already paying $50... Went here with my partner for a saturday late night dinner. This place is LOUD. Def come here if you're trying to get turnt UP. Seemed every table was reserved for a party (bday celebrant gets a sombrero, DJ plays "shots shots" or "happy bday" and servers dance around with strobe lights). But the bar was wide open. And for two of us, bar seating was very enjoyable. We ordered the carne asada tacos, shrimp ceviche, and a round of cocktails. Kind of pricey for the portion sizes but honestly... everything that came out was soooooo tasty and the meats were very very tender. We had a party of 14 and we had one waiter helping us. The problem with that was he was serving multiple tables so we hardly saw him and had to repeat items we needed. The inside was nice and clean and the music was nice but then the DJ came in. We had a couple baby's and the music was just loud and annoying at that point. My family would probably disagree with the stars and give it 1 star. The good: the place is adorable, seats are comfy, mariachi on Sunday 1-3 (which is why we went) was fire, the chilaquiles were good, the pancake was good - sweet and tasty. The bad: parking is terrible - not a lot of space and it's one way only so getting out when you realize the small lot is full is challenging. Our server's English was not great so we went with Spanish but it was still tough (maybe she was new). My chilaquiles arrived 35 minutes before my son's Birria tacos (they were ok - not terrible not great) and my hubbies breakfast burrito (again not terrible not great). The odd thing was that my hubby's burrito was the same ingredients as my mother's in laws breakfast, just not assembled, yet it came out 35 minutes apart! Thank goodness they encouraged me to start without them because what was left was cold by the time their food came. There were 5 of us. A table with 10 people next to us got ALL their food at the same time. They have no creamer for the coffee except powdered stuff they bring out in a cup after waiting. If you don't have cream or milk take the coffee de olla off the menu. We went up to the bar to get more water after waiting 20 minutes for a refill, only to be told to sit down and someone would bring it. It was water, it shouldn't be that hard. There is no salt or pepper on the tables. I asked for some, went to my car and got some and came back before it ever made it to the table. We were kind and patient (still left a 22% tip) - my MIL loved the mariachi and that made it worthwhile, but if we ever go again we will definitely eat elsewhere first. read more

I cannot comment on the food as we didn't order any. But keep reading if you're curious about their Tequila. We happened to be in the area and given the name of the establishment indicating "Tequila" stopped in looking specifically to do some Tequila tasting. We sat at the bar and were given menus. I was surprised there wasn't a "Tequila" menu so I asked for one. That should have been my first clue. The bartender stated they didn't have one and pointed to the Tequila's on the shelves behind him. SERIOUSLY? He didn't ask what I type I was interested in (Anejo, Blanco, etc., or brand, etc.) He provided no additional assistance or interest which indicated to me he wasn't educated in Tequila at all. I was ready to go, but because we had already been seated my husband felt compelled to at least order a drink before leaving. I was going to order an obligatory beer I didn't want at a place I didn't even want to be at. My husband isn't a fancy drink guy and requested a standard margarita. The bartender then proceeded to recommend 2 specialty options each over $20. That was it, we said no thank you. We left and definitely will NOT be going back. read more

I went here for the first time for my friend's birthday brunch and the place seemed so great. There's so much potential that they simply just waste. My food came out cold. I'm never one to send things back but I just couldn't force myself to eat cold eggs on my huevos rancheros. Everything was just cold. My friends encourage me to send it back so I do. The server was nice. She comes back minutes later with that very same plate. The food had been microwaved so long that my over easy egg was cooked all the way through & over hard. I served and bartended for eight years, and I have never seen a restaurant ever do this before. For $17 they couldn't remake my order ?? I'm frustrated at this point. I talk to the server and ask if I can just have a burrito like my friend. I figure it was a simple and fast order. Wrong. 30 minutes pass and still no order I end up becoming so frustrated. The whole table of 8 has finished eating and my food is nowhere in sight. I end up asking the server to cancel it completely and leave without eating. This place was really disappointing. For $18 drinks and $20 plates, you would expect SO much more. I will never be back. read more

Several issues tonight. This was the first time going here. Not sure we will be back. First, the music was way too loud. Not sure if this is their usual, or just because it was a Friday night. This is a restaurant, not a club! We should not have to yell at each other in order to have a conversation with friends. Keep the volume at a level to where we can also hear the servers talking to us. Second, our server forgot to order my second drink (even though she was the one who suggested it). She came back around approximately 10 minutes later, took another drink order for my husband, brought his drink and I still did not have mine. After several more minutes I got her attention asking if my drink was coming. Only then did she realize that she totally forgot about it. At this point, it's not that big of a deal to me, but whatever. There was only four of us in this group. Three of us ordered their Taco's and a salad, and one ordered a steak. The steak came out first and at a reasonable time from ordering. He waited to start eating until we got our plates, assuming ours was right behind. After 10 MINUTES, we finally convinced him to start eating his steak as it is getting cold and our tacos and salad are still nowhere in sight! Seriously, between 10-15 minutes (no joke!) two of the taco plates arrive at our table. I'm thinking ok, my tacos will be on the next trip. NOPE! Our waitress has not been seen in at least 20 minutes (I am not exaggerating here either). Everyone is eating and I am sitting here waiting for Tacos. Dishes are coming out of the kitchen and to other tables. After patiently waiting, I finally grabbed the attention of a different server (again, ours nowhere to be seen) and asked if I was getting my order tonight. She says, "let me check with your server" I replied "we haven't even seen her in the last 20-30 minutes" By the time I finally got my tacos, the rest of my table was finishing their dinners. WOW! Since when is it acceptable to serve 1 person in a party of 4 at least 10 MINUTES before anyone else. Then serve 2 more people and leaving the 4th person with nothing? I did not realize that TACOS and a salad are so much more complex than a steak dinner. The food was decent, but not good enough to make up for the horrendous service and excessively loud ambience. Next issue, for the side dish that comes with the tacos, they offer beans or guacamole. My husband ordered the guacamole, but they don't offer anything else with it. Apparently you are supposed to eat the guacamole by the spoonful. Really? Guacamole is a condiment, not a side dish unless you offer chips or something else to eat it with. This place will not survive if they don't get their act together. You MUST DO BETTER than what happened tonight. Completely absurd! No plans to return any time soon, nor will I recommend to anyone else at this point in time. read more

I thought ok, maybe they're the extremely big Shrimps... but they weren't. The drinks were ok but it said it was fresh juice and it didn't taste like fresh juice.
