First time here and only negative I have to say is there under staff and need more bartenders . We did enjoy ourselfs b the dranks were delicious. Miguel n Audrey were sweet and kind as well for the manager which I totally forgot her name but she is beautiful and has short Cooper hair. I do recommend going but just a wait to get your drinks due to only 1 bartender

1.17.26 A Tale of Two Beet Salads! The first one we ordered tasted kind of "meaty" like maybe it was on the same grill as the burgers? The second one tasted "clean" or like it was supposed to taste. The Burger & Fish Tacos were full of flavor & freshness! I loved their fries b/c crispy on outside & soft on the outside. Missing their Guac & Chips Starter that was on former menu tho. We gotta commend the F&B Manager here! He overheard us talking to the waiter about the differences in the Charred Beet Salads & told us why: one was on the grill too long & he only knew that b/c he was in the kitchen watching them make it. He appreciated us sharing about the nuanced difference in how salads tasted & comped one. Wow - this is really going above & beyond: caring enough to have a convo w/ diners, acknowledging their palates detecting the difference AND making it right, b/c as he said "both should taste the same, like the second one." A commitment to excellence and consistency is a rarity. Overall, Lylo Swim Club outdoor bar/restaurant is a little oasis tucked away amongst so much greenery and beauty! Yes they have the pool nearby, but we didn't take a dip. Something to look forward to! P.S. Can the tile pattern on the bar be any more gorgeous?!

I love Lylo Swim Club. I've been here a few times, they usually offer a $20 day pass -- hang out by the pool 12-6pm for a day. It's the perfect hidden gem, relaxing, sunny, easy parking, great food and even better drinks. Well known for the dole whip cocktail, trust me -- order it! I also love the crispy rice tuna and the roasted beets were shocking so good. A burst of flavor. The service here is perfect. Luis is a GREAT bartender and is so great at checking in on the pool guests. Service is fast and quality is top tier. So sit back and relax, and stop at Lylo!

We stumbled across this Rivera in the desert on Camelback by accident when the bar we were going to go to was closed. It is absolutely beautiful and a bar deserving of a large resort. The drinks were out of this world with great mixologists working making great cocktails. The empanadas were some of the best I've ever had. I hope you all stumble across this place and are as pleasantly surprised as I was. .

They changed majority of the menu and that is so disappointing because there is no more of my favorites. I got the dole whip rum and the masa taco. The service was great! The drinks were good but the food was not my preference. Thankfully the chips and salsa came with my meal so that was good. Please bring back some of the old menu, like the musubi and boa buns!!

Loved it here! Not many people on a Tuesday. Wasn't sure if we could have saw but we asked and you do need to make reservations online and pay to go swimming. $40 for day time and $25 for night swimming. The food was interesting. My burger was salty and spicy. My fries were really salty. Got a Pina colada and it was good. Also got the dole whip and it was really good! Update 4/17 Love Lylo! The vibes are aesthetically pleasing. Feels like you're on an oasis. We started with the dip trio. They were all really good. Their menu changed since the last time I was here. Got a passion fruit mocktail. Got the carne asada and pastor taco. My sister got the carne asada fries. To end it if we got dole whip. The best dole whip I ever had! Love that you can pay to use the pool as well if you're not staying at the resort. Michael took good care of us and was amazing!

We enjoyed the food. The Dole Whip just had brown liquor poured on top. I poured a bunch of it out and then stirred the remains in the alcohol myself. The atmosphere was nice. We did not have to pay for our lounge chairs because we reserved them with our room at the hotel. The dj was good but calling them a dj was generous, more like a guy with a playlist. The service was very quick and kind.

The vibes here are incredibleperfect for a relaxing day vacation. The full bar is great, but the real standout is the pool area. Cushioned couches with misters in the shaded section make it super comfortable, and there are plenty of lounge chairs by the water. Service was excellent--they bring food and drinks right to you poolside. Just a heads-up: it's definitely on the pricier side. A day pass (if you're not staying at the hotel) is $35 per person, and the food and drinks add up quick. But if you're looking to treat yourself, it's 100% worth it.

My friends took me here for a little fun pool day. They staff was great and it was so fun here. Loved how calm and quiet it was even with people coming and going. We ordered a few dishes to share; guac and chips, shrimp ceviche, crispy cheese with braise beef and I got myself a fish taco. The food was beautifully presented but some dish lacked salt. I was telling my friends it seem very healthy haha. Clearly we're used to junk food. I thought the fish tacos were really good and the crispy cheese pizza thing. Drinks were strong and yummy. Great place to hang out with friends!

I came here to hang out with a few friends on a Friday night and had a nice time overall! The night swim costs $15 and we were able to sit in the lounge chairs, use the pool and hot tub, and order drinks. The service was pretty bad and slow though it seemed only one waitress was working. She was confused on the summer passport coupon, but the manager came and gave my friends and I free drinks which made up for it. We had the dole whipped drink which was very good. The whole area is very cute, it wasn't too crowded, and they played good music.

I came here to chill by the pool with some friends for the evening. The vibe was perfect. It's just a regular pool and hot tub but it's super cute and there's a nice bar with poolside service. It's not a super loud party vibe like a lot of the pool bars in Scottsdale. The service was pretty slow but I think they were short staffed. I'm not sure if it's always like that. There was also some confusion around a coupon my friend was trying to use so the manager (I think) brought us out a free round which was really sweet. He was super nice! Overall, I think it's worth the price to get in for the night swim.

Lylo is the poolside bar at Rise Uptown Hotel in downtown Phoenix. It's so chill and easy here. They also have plenty of TVs on the outside patio. And their food is surprisingly very good. We needed a quick snack before dinner and shared a plate of barbacoa fries ($16). The fries are topped with braised short rib, onions, cilantro, crema, and a Mexican cheese mix. The key to tasty loaded fries are the fries themselves. These in particular, had a nice, crispy exterior. On their own, these were the perfect dipping fry. The barbacoa was also tender and flavorful. Just a really good all around combo. We shared the chicken tinga taco ($4.00) and this was absolute fire. The taco comes topped with crema, onion-cilantro, and cotija cheese on a corn tortilla. To be honest, the chicken tinga was a nice change-up to our usual taco protein line-up making it especially tasty. Come on through for a drink, some snacks, and a lap around the pool.

I hadn't tried this location on 7th until just recently, when I came by during happy hour with some friends. There is a spacious parking lot tucked away in the back, opposite of the street view side. This is also where the entrance is! Walk toward the breezeway and it's to your right. Immediately, we were greeted by our host and the warm/inviting atmosphere. I'm impressed by how well decorated both LeDu locations are, in unique ways. We got the fried tofu, passion fizz, lychee martini, jungle bird, and my usual pad thai with beef and beansprouts on the side. Passion Fizz: passion fruit, demerera, sparkling wine - sweet, light, refreshing Lychee martini: vodka, lychee, dry vermouth, lime - sweet, strong, lychee flavor is perfect and not overpowering Jungle Bird: spiced rum, campari, pineapple, lime - sweet, deep flavor from the rum Fried tofu: a little dry even with the sauce, a small portion for the price, not my favorite Pad thai: tangy/sweet, packed with flavor, always delicious from LeDu! I arrived a bit before 6 to find it closed, no sign on the door and nothing online stating it had closed. So we headed downtown to the second location. I arrived about 6:10 pm and was asked if I had a reservation. I explained that we went to the other location only to find it closed and when we called the only number on the website to make a reservation (earlier in the day), no one answered the phone. We called multiple times. The guy at the door informed us the other location had closed and he couldn't seat us until 8 pm unless we wanted to sit at the bar. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there was no manager there. A restaurant should always have a manager or someone on site empowered to address customer concerns. We agreed to sit at the bar. First we ordered cocktails for $17 each. While they were tasty and refreshing, they had virtually no alcohol. I ordered the Kra Pow and, on the server's recommendation, chose the pork belly. My friend ordered the Pad Ki-Mao with pork belly. After waiting 30-45 minutes for the food, it finally arrived. Mine was dry pieces of pork belly, dry rice, an egg and three cucumber slices, no sauce whatsoever. When I asked for sauce, I was offered soy sauce and hot chili. My friend's noodles were tasty, but she also thought her pork belly was dry. The server, who was also the host and bartender didn't check in on us a single time during our meal. Between the outdated website, unanswered phone, lack of management and service, long wait and underwhelming food and drinks, the entire experience was extremely disappointing. I expected much more from this place.

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

It tasted tart and like lemons. Not crunch. Soft ice. One thing though. The drinks weren't bad price. Average for tha area. The only thing is the bar tender made all of our drinks very strong. Most people think that's a good thing but honestly all I could taste was booze. I ordered a whisky sprite (7and7 spoof) and wow I could only taste whiskey. Every sip was booze booze and more booze. For the cocktails I wasn't able to taste any of the ingredients since it was so strong on the alcohol. Definitely moneys worth I guess lol. The bartender though was very nice and knowledgeable about all the drinks. Could explain all the drinks and the different types of alcohol. Not bad. Definitely would come back. Super cute for date night or a small gathering night out since space wise isn't huge.

For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.
