Visited the school before the big opening and was amazed at the facility , very thoughtfully set up, very clean, and very good atmosphere with the way it was designed which bring a feeling of peace and tranquility. Got to train with the head Jiujitsu coach there and was very impressed with his skills , friendliness, and humble personality . Also the coach is a world champion and seems very unassuming but his Jiujitsu is top level. I know they also have a tutoring center for kids also which is a plus for any parent that needs help with their kids after school. First off! awesome place! If you are looking to start Brazilian jiujitsu yourself or for your kids this is an amazing choice! The members have been so great and inviting. We actually were introduced to Teragi via the kids summer camp. It's such a great idea and the team at Teragi spare no expense making sure the children are comfortable and fed throughout the week. It's also so cool the day ends with them in a formal jiujitsu class. What's unique is they have a classroom behind the mats where the kids can spend the day. The facility here is very open, bright and inviting. Great mat size with lots of windows as well as a calming seating area for parents to lounge during classes. I too train along with my wife and we didn't hesitate when we were invited to try a class here (they are so welcoming!) The classes we tried were great with technical instruction and the sparring rounds were fun and competitive. They have a great schedule with many sessions throughout the week to choose from. I love Teragi! I attend their restorative yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9:15-10:15 am) and they are awesome. It's probably the best part of my mornings b/c it allows me to stretch out my problem areas and de-stress. Nita is an excellent instructor and is able to talk about the moves in an anatomical way that I really appreciate. Absolutely amazing academy!!! I have had my two kids come to Teragi for a couple months now. Professor John and his entire team have been nothing but spectacular. My kids both were dreading to join a martial arts class. However, within a week's time both of my kids loved coming to class and continue to thrive here with Teragi's entire team of instructors and other students. They have made many friendships, learned more about themselves, and improved their confidence. Every single professor and coach here is amazing. The instructor to student ratio can't be beat. Went to this place curious to see what awaits, but when we arrived both my daughter and son were amazed by how family friendly and kid focused the academy and owners were. The owners were very courteous and made was feel welcome while our kids explored the academy including the back area where the after school programs were taught. The coaches were amazing and very considerate of all the kids abilities and really tried to engage each one and motivate them to succeed. This is truly an academy trying to develop well balanced fit future leaders, with an ability to protect themselves physically as well.
