Very disappointing!! A day or two old. It was served cold. Everything was dry you can tell by the beef.

Looks exciting, but all the items on this shelf are expired =(
    mia k.

Came here yesterday, cute little store packed full of fun things that I wished oh so much were not ALL expired. The only three things I ended up buying from here are hot chocolate (you know, the kind you had as a kid in Russia,) two "petyshok" lollipops, and a pirojok with mashed potatoes and muchrooms. I don't know what I was thinking when I looked at the expiration date (10 1 10) that was in Jan not october! but whatever, its powder, it will be just fine. I REALLY wanted to get some chocolates (belochka) but they expired back in 2008, most of the spice packets for things such as meats and poultry were also expired. I got excited about "kisel'" powder, but that was expired as well. The pirojok was okay, but definitely not very exciting. I will probably come back and give this place a second chance, hopefully when they get new products.

Several times I buy seeds that are simply not possible to eat. Just terrible, and not tasty, lost appetite for seeds. Pay attention to your product!

This is what you'll get if u buy here

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience at Four Season Market in Sacramento, CA was upsetting…read moreand honestly concerning as a parent. I purchased clearance food items that I later realized -- without even opening them -- were clearly not fresh and not safe to eat. This is especially serious to me because I have children, and I rely on stores to sell food that is safe for families. What makes this worse is that I was told in the store that these products were "safe" and that employees buy them themselves. When I returned to request a refund, one associate initially said it would be accepted. However, the same employee who originally reassured me suddenly refused, became visibly upset, and told me "it's the law" that they cannot take the items back. That statement is misleading -- stores cannot avoid responsibility for selling food that is not safe for consumption. On top of that, during the same visit I was overcharged for other items compared to the posted prices, which added to my frustration and concern about how this business operates. This was not just poor customer service -- it raises serious concerns about food safety and consumer rights. I strongly recommend that others carefully inspect any items before purchasing here and double-check prices at checkout.

Their young cashier-girl assured me: " Yes, we do! We have truck deliveries twice per week, Monday and Thursday". Guess what...I completely wasted that 14-mile-drive: they had only 1(one) ice cream. Can't she count till 1(one)?

Hello to the fresh sturgeon steaks that called my name. My favorite fish is very hard to find and super expensive. These steaks per pound seemed way cheaper than any other meat or fish since this economy jumped into the handbasket. The sturgeon was delicious grilled and seasoned with a little duck fat oil amd lemon. I also got some enormous thick loin lamb chops and some veal stew to make my mother's fabulous veal saute (on the stove as we speak) recipe. They had real almond macaroons and an amazing assortment of Ukrainian, Russian, and Armenian delicacies and staples. Staff was friendly and answered my nosy questions; check out was easy and uncrowded. Worth a trip.

When I came in for my interview, the owner flat out, asked whether I was married. I found that question odd and said I was married. After that, the interview felt over, he didn't ask any more questions about my experience or anything at all in fact. He took a phone call, paced around while talking, didn't tell me to wait, and then opened the door as if I should leave. I tried to hand him my résumé; he only nodded and didn't take it, so I left it on his desk and walked away. He never called me back, which didn't surprise me. My friend later said that once he found out she was engaged he would make passive aggressive jokes about her fiancé, questions like "Who is this fiancé you keep talking about?" or "When's the wedding? It's been a while." She often felt uncomfortable around him. About a month ago I went in to buy a cake. I'm not familiar with Slavic cakes, so I asked to try a piece. The worker let me taste it, and I asked them to cut it in half so I could buy one piece. At other Slavic stores (including this one), unless a cake is sold boxed, they'll cut to size. When she cut it, she then insisted I had to buy both half. I told her I only wanted one; she got irritated and said she'd get in trouble because the leftover half was small. If it's sold only whole, that should have been stated up front when I ask to cut them. I ended up spending about $50, which felt excessive. My aunt was upset too and said the worker had lied and forced me to buy the other half. The store itself is okay. Don't buy the potatoes, they're often rotten or moldy. They always have beets and dill, which is great. I love the hot food staff; they're always sweet, friendly, and patient!

Everyone who's worked there was cheerful and the worker who helped me in Bakery was extremely helpful and pleasant. Although her English was broken she tried hard to answer my questions and was so nice. The fresh pastries & breads looked amazing but my eye was in the cakes. Be prepared to purchase by weight rather than price when purchasing these selected items that are a pretty price but worth it. As we headed out I noticed that they had a hot buffet bar with quite a selection of food items. Interesting to the eye and definitely have to come back. They had lots of selections of food and products available in the store. Might want to check out this spot, you might find hidden treasures. Love that this place also was up to date with payment options.
