I'm a fan of the 24 hours conveniently located LOS TACOS Mexican restaurant here in West Hollywood. The portions are large, the flavors simple and true, but they also have a great station that allows you to bring it all up to how you like your meal to taste with red and green sauces of mild, medium, and hot, as well as lemons, sour cream, and sautéed jalapeños and onions w carrots... it all allows you to dress up and customize your Mexican food order. The place is no frills in the decor department but more like a Latin diner that one might expect to see in a Robert Rodriguez film. Been a patron here for 20 years and hope to be a patron here for another 20 more... ** NOTE TO READER: my pictures showcase a chile brand I'm a fan of and bring in to Mexican restaurants so don't expect to see that there!

10/10. Really good quality, amazing salsa, and the cashier/waiter/head dude is adorable, excellent service.

    Order #9: Wet Burrito Combo
    Ronald C.

Ordered the combo wet burrito. Wet burrito was just the right texture. You're given the option to choose the meat that you want with the burrito. Ex. Carne asada, al pastor, etc. They're also very generous with the amount of sauce that is dressed onto the burrito. In addition to other items, they have a nice selection of beverages to choose from: Jarrito Drink, Jamaica, Tamarindo, Watermelon Juice, and Horchata. I ordered the watermelon juice and it was by far the most refreshing and authentic watermelon juice I've ever had. Highly recommend ordering the large cup size regardless of which of the following drinks mentioned you decide to order.

This is one of my favorite hole in the wall spots in LA for good old fashioned Mexican food. The burrito is packed full and comes "wet" with delicious sauce! It's absolutely one of my "go-to's" near home. Staff is super nice and there are a plethora of options on their extensive menu, but the burrito just happens to be my personal favorite. Worth every bite!

This is a very nice restaurant I just came from Mexico they made me feel like I was at home they cook amazing Carlos is an amazing cook he deserves a raise he made me feel at home please help these guys get some more money they work hard and they bring a lot of Mexican flavor to the dish I support 100%

atmosphere was great. loved the lighting. 3am food is a blessing, got chips and Jamaica, both were gas.

Ordered Al pastor tacos but I'm not certain this isn't chicken

I'm literally not drunk enough to enjoy these $14 tacos I got. Al pastor is pork, right? My tacos taste like chicken. And it's drenched in a barely seasoned red sauce. Highly disappointed you're better off going to a street corner taco stand if you want good late night tacos.

One of my go to food spots when I'm in LA. The food taste very authentic and hits the spot every time. This is a small diner but the perfect place for food with friends. This time I ordered chicken and Al pastor tacos. Also not featured is an order of tamales. Will always pull up here when I'm in town.

Came in for a quick bite to eat before a show down the street at the Troubadour. Everything was great. Staff was friendly and helpful, the food was made promptly and brought out to us. It was towards the end of our meal that things got interesting as I had asked for hot sauce for my taco sampler The server mentioned some super spicy taco they had. Now I can handle extreme heat (I could do Hot Ones no problem) and more often than not I'm let down by what most places consider spicy. Not this time however I knew it was gonna be good when the staff from the kitchen started to check me out after it was ordered. They were being sly but by the end of the taco I feel as if I had earned their respect, I'd give it a 7 on my heat scale - it was hot and also delicious. No. What Guisados does exceptionally well is satisfy late-night taco cravings, especially after a night out of cocktails and shots. Nestled right between the bars, it's the perfect stumbling distance when the night is winding down and hunger starts making decisions for you. The tacos are flavorful, the stewed meats hit the spot, and somehow everything tastes even better when you're debating whether to go home or order one more drink. My biggest advice: get there before last call. Otherwise, expect a long line. So, is Guisados the greatest taco place on earth? Probably not. Is it exactly what I want when I'm hungry, exhausted, and looking for salvation wrapped in a tortilla? Absolutely.

You can tell that it's house made and I liked the chewy texture of it. However, respectfully the filling felt and tasted like bean goo. I could only really taste the refried bean flavor which was strong. It kind of meshed all the components together into a gooey filling. I got this with asada meat and the meat was kind of chewy and not so flavorful on its own. Props to the tortilla though for not spilling everything out and holding it together well, but still a bit difficult to eat. I would ask for utensils when eating this dish. The green onion garnish was unique. I wish they gave more lime wedges because that helped elevate the dish. For $13 this wasn't too bad, but I'd rather get a better burrito from a street vendor. This is a casual eats type of place with both indoor and outdoor seating and tables. They also serve alcohol and even frozen alcoholic drinks. They have a free parking lot in front, but it can be competitive to get a spot. Overall, my experience here was just okay and I would opt for other spots.

This one is actually in WeHo east of La Cienega in kind of an upmarket strip mall. It was just strolling distance from our hotel, so it was the ideal spot for a casual dinner before venturing onto Santa Monica Blvd for the PRIDE festivities. We actually had the foresight to make a reservation and were initially seated inside next to the bar where a couple of loud sluggos were holding court. To his immense credit, the host noticed the noise and asked if we would prefer a quieter seat in the patio. This was LA, so hell yeah. We were grateful. The menu has many delectable specialties, though we were feeling conscientious and focused on their salads. Jamie ordered the $24 Mexican Chopped Salad, a robust mix of grilled chicken, chopped romaine and arugula, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, radishes, avocado, and queso fresco, drizzled with lemon vinaigrette (Photo 9). It was a Cal-Mex delight. I went with the $25 Oaxaca Cactus Salad with grilled shrimp, fresh cactus, diced tomatoes, red onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and queso fresco. It was liberally mixed with tomatillo dressing (Photo 8). The cactus provided a nice, crunchy texture. We also shared the $10 Grilled Seasonal Veggies, a tasty mix of carrots, zucchini, and summer squash (Photo 7). But don't be too impressed by our healthy choices because we went for the $12 Mexican Bunuelos (Photo 10). Crispy, thin fritters topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. FOOD - 4 stars...fresh takes on Mexican, well executed AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...the patio was nice even as it started to crowd SERVICE - 4.5 stars...the host was on the ball, the server was aces TOTAL - 4 stars...definitely a nice, casual find in WeHo RELATED - Exploring West Hollywood?
