Overall: came for lunch, everything was okay, not great and not terrible. Apps were decent but Prob wouldn't come back unfortunately. Service was great and pretty quiet so good for kids. Apps: mozzarella balls: the cheese tasted a bit off, maybe I just didn't like how the mozz was prepared. Fries: large portion. Drizzled in gravy (?) Seafood/shrimp pasta: tasted a lot of wine in the sauce and not enough salt, I generally like milder taste in my food but this dish a little TOO mild. My friends got other pastas though and they said it was good. Tiramisu: huge piece for $10, best thing I ate here and very creamy

Solid spot with great service if you're looking for a chill bar spot with a large menu. Service was very fast and efficient, no complaints. For an appetizer, we split the mussels Ostend which was good. Loved that it came with both bread and fries, and the fries were cooked perfectly, our favorite part of the entire meal. For an entree, I got the roasted spaghetti squash which was a bit bland. Husband got the shrimp po boy which was good and a huge portion.

Beautiful restaurant that is actually split into two smaller spots. Both sides have a bar and a different vibe. The Cab was very good. Full bodied with a slight pepper to it. I'm a creature of habit and always end up ordering chicken parm when I go out. I've had it at a bunch of restaurants and this is by far one of the best I've ever had. The chicken cutlet was super thin but still tender and juicy. The breading was perfect. Tiny bread crumbs that got very crispy but wasn't overly breaded like most places. It was still crispy then next day when I had the leftovers! The pasta was cooked well and the sauce had a good complimentary flavor. The customer service here was above and beyond. Our waitress gave great recommendations and the bussers were very attentive. I was a fool and left my purse at the restaurant. The manager looked up my phone number from the reservation and called me right away. I wasn't able to get back there that night so he locked it up for the night and told the day manager about it. The day managers called the next morning to confirm they had it and told me to ask for him when I come to get it. They were all so helpful and understanding about it.

Lunch in the cute little town of Wayne :) We sat at the table in the front our waiter was nice and offered some suggestions when we were deciding on certain food choices. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to try. I wanted the escargot since I don't see this on the menu often. We also got fried mozzarella, bacon wrapped scallops and arachini. The escargot was okay. Not sure if it's the freshest escargot. The fried mozzarella was really good. The bacon wrapped scallops are always really good. The arachini was a bit dry and I didn't care for the sauce. For entrees I got the summer pasta which came with shrimp and a light basil lemon sauce with noodles. I thought the pasta was okay. There needs to be more seasoning but I did like how it was a light pasta for summer. My friend got.the chicken Parm pasta and that was really good. I think it just depends on what you order. Overall the food is okay and was pretty expensive for the amount of food you get. Presentation and service was good though.

This would be a fun place to get a drink or dinner out. I enjoyed the ambience (kind of warm and welcoming, but also slightly darker lighting). Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but I got the mushroom pizza and regretted the choice. It seemed either under seasoned or almost too mushroomy - like a forest taste. I enjoyed my time there, but probably wouldn't eat there again. If anything, I'd try out more of the drink selections. There are plenty to choose from! - AT

While watching an episode of What's Brewing this past weekend, Glen and Joe Sixpack came up with a list of romantic beer spots, either breweries, alehouses, or beerhalls, etc. On the list was Teresa's Cafe in Wayne, PA. Being from NJ I really had no idea where Wayne, PA was, but after looking it up I realized it was only 20 minutes away from Newtown Square, which is where my wife had an appointment. The fate of the beer gods must have been with us. Walking into the place you can't help but notice how nice it is. Very clean and organized with a beautiful bar and nice tables and booths on the side. Since it was midday we were lucky to get a booth which would be very nice for a couple out on a date. My wife and I are beyond the dating scene, but it was nice having the booth to ourselves. Of course the first menu I grabbed was the drink menu. I was really curious why the guys from What's Brewing liked this place. It did not disappoint. Great selection of Belgian Ales and other domestic craft beers. Also, was happy to see some hand pumped selections which I rarely get. I started with a hand pumped Geuze Boon, which was delicious. I later got the Tripel De Garre which was fantastic. But if you don't care for beer they also have a great selection of wines, gin, and whiskey. My wife had a nice Pinot Noir from South Africa. The food menu is also incredible and extremely diverse. Exotic meats (kangaroo for example), wings, salads, pastas, a variety of entrees, and mussels, were all on the menu. They even have something for the vegetarian in your life. My wife got the Eggplant entree which she really loved. I tried a little and it was very good. I had the Ostend Mussel's which were delicious. I couldn't get enough of the broth and ordered more bread to soak it up. The frites were also good and the dipping sauce that came with it was very nice with a little kick. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive, but not intrusive. We spoke to the owner later and he was really nice also. Great place with a great atmosphere, great beer, and great food. Only wish it was closer.

Amazing selection of wine and Ambiance. The waiter had so much knowledge about the different alcohols served. The food was good and fresh with plenty of vegan/vegetarian options available. I recommend this place!

It has been a while since I've been here, but so glad my boyfriend and I decided to go. The food, service, ambiance was excellent. It was a bit loud during prime time dinner hour, but that's to be expected. We started off with a cheese and meat board that was excellent. Cheese was creamy and paired nicely with the prosciutto we got. We also got charred asparagus which was perfectly charred and seasoned. It came freshly hot as well. Second course we got the Far East Mussels with Escargot. PHENOMENAL! The mussels were tender and delicious as well as the escargot. We were pleasantly surprised how many pieces of escargot was given as well. The broth had a nice little kick as well which was great with bread. This dish came with French fries as well. Lastly, we got a pizza that was very delicious. I can't remember the exact name, but it was a spreadable sausage pizza which was interesting yet delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos because we were so hungry and chowed down everything that came out. But I highly recommend for date night or a casual meet up with friends!

Chef/proprietor Carlo deMarco, a Villanova native, is still turning out top-notch contemporary American fare with international flair in a lively yet decidedly sophisticated setting. And, although Mr. deMarco's seasonally changing menu continues to offer his patrons exciting new possibilities, there are still a number of old favorites that I remember from my first go round. The inordinately tender yet crispy Salt Pepper Calamari with beguiling pumpkinseed aioli, for example, still makes a fabulous starter, as does the Butter Lettuce Salad garnished with Danish blue cheese, candid walnuts, shaved apple, and finished with an outstanding Champagne vinaigrette. Entrée-wise, as I mentioned in my initial review, pork still plays a major role. The Java Pork Tenderloin (pictured) with smashed yams, mango salsa, black bean sauce, and maple jus remains a house favorite, with the Grilled Pork Chop accompanied by down-home andouille-spiked mac & cheese finishing a close second. Our most recent visit, however, was somewhat different in scope, as my dining partner and I decided to take advantage of Main Line Today Restaurant Week. Which meant that though our menu choices were limited to three apps, three entrées, and two desserts, the price - $39.95 per person (plus beverages, tax & gratuity) for a three-course dinner - and the overall quality of the cuisine were more than sufficient compensation. To start things off, I chose the Spicy Asian Brussels Sprouts (pictured) embellished with peanuts, shishito peppers (shishito peppers are small mild peppers from Japan with an average of one out of ten being on the hot side), and sweet chili sauce. Brussels sprouts are just one of those vegetables... you either love them or hate them, there seems to be no middle ground. I am most definitely of the former persuasion. And, to the kitchen's credit, the sprouts were perfectly prepared... Not too crunchy; not too mushy. Just right. My only quibble is that the word "spicy" is really something of a misnomer, as there was infinitely more sweetness than spice at work here - indeed, describing the dish as "cloying," at least from my palate's perspective, would not be considered hyperbole. My dining partner's Butternut Squash Bisque (pictured), on the other hand, was spot-on perfect, a simply superb rendering of this traditional favorite. The squash is beautifully seasoned with ginger and touch of curry, then combined with sautéed onion and submerged in copious amounts of apple cider. Once puréed, hot cream is added, followed by a bit of sour cream, cinnamon, and brown sugar. The flavor is rich, complex, and incredibly addictive. Definitely distinctive and not to be missed. Entrée possibilities included the above-noted Java Pork Tenderloin, Chef's Choice Chicken Entrée, and the Simply Grilled Salmon (pictured). On any other occasion, I have no doubt, one or both of us would have gone right for the pork... But on this particular evening, for some reason, we were both in the mood for salmon, which turned out to be an absolutely fabulous choice. The fish was a beautifully prepared - just as our server suggested and we specified - medium rare. But not only was it simply grilled, but also simply presented with a house salad of mixed greens, goat cheese, toasted sesame seeds, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, crispy wontons, and utterly seductive orange-ginger vinaigrette. And that lovely orange-ginger concoction proved to be not only a marvelous dressing for the salad but also a wonderful complement to the salmon, transforming a relatively straightforward dish into something sublime. Dessert choices were especially limited and pretty basic - either Warm Bread Pudding (pictured) or Flourless Chocolate Cake. I freely admit to being something of a chocoholic, but flourless chocolate cake - at least for my palate - is just too much of a good thing. Just too much of too much. I opted instead for the bread pudding... as did my dining partner, who is not a particular fan of chocolate. ... And, once again, this proved to be a most fortuitous choice, as the bread pudding succeeded in surpassing all expectations. Rich, creamy, and calorically out-of-sight, it added a decidedly decadent note to a perfectly delightful evening at table... And, as I mentioned above, the price was right.

This Estia is located in David, Pa. There is plenty of parking near and around the restaurant. We had a reservation for 4pm and were seated right away. It is very beautifully decorated, with plenty of staff. We had plenty of appetizers and desserts for the table to share. The table was nicely prepared for all of us, with plenty of space for everyone. They have a lot of their seafood on display and if you like, you can pick which one you'd like them to prepare for you. They actually bring it out for a little show while it being prepared (see picture). I haven't one bad thing to say about this restaurant. A good time was had by all! Oh! One thing that was very impressive......twice (during the evening) silverware had fallen to the floor. A waiter would rush over to bring a clean set right away. Wow! Never saw that done with such fast precision!!!! I decided on the Lamb Chops. It comes with fried potatoes, tzatziki and I got a side of grilled vegetables. My husband got the same, only with Spanakorizo (rice, spinach & leeks). It was just too much food to keep account of everyone. Everything was delicious. One thing I can say is our waitress was a pro! Never skipped beat on our orders. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend for a special occasion or a nice quite evening out. The hours: Sun-Thurs 3pm-9pm Fri & Sat 3pm- 10pm

Service was attentive although funny in that our server would ask us how our next dish was immediately after it had been placed in front of us and before we had a bite. It happened three times! So maybe not quite as attentive come to think of it. We both ordered from the prix fixe menu (sharing the appetizers) which is a good deal, and I don't remember so many items involving an upcharge so that's new to me. - fried calamari - 4/5, very good, nice aioli dipping sauce, breading was consistent and not too heavy, light tasting and delicious - greek salad - 4/5, I usually love this and it was still delicious and fresh but I noticed that 1) they've changed the name so it's no longer called horiatiki, and 2) we had a very small piece of feta with the salad whereas in the past the ratio of feta to the tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, cucumbers has been more even. And now there's a $6 supplement charge for this appetizer which seems like A LOT for a salad. Next time I might skip this because of the upcharge - lavraki - 5/5, this light white fish is just the right amount of flavor and portion and my go to choice when I go to Estia. Also a $6 upcharge but this seemed more worth it - baklava - 5*/5, also a $2 upcharge but worth it as these four pieces of cylindrical baklava, while a little difficult to eat (use your hand? try to cut a cylinder with a fork?) it is an excellent baklava We went at 5pm before it got too busy and were seated away from the bar so we were able to have a quiet conversation but as the restaurant filled it definitely got noisier and I would not want to be seated near the bar. They do have a lovely outdoor area at the front and side of the restaurant so we could have sat outside since last night was quite mild in weather. One downside of the prix fixe is no zucchini and eggplant chips which are my favorite, and I didn't want to order that on top of the appetizer, entree, and dessert. Next time!

But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.
