This is the Maple Grove location. We got chimichangas and margaritas. While the strawberry margaritas were good they did not have much alcohol in them so there is that. Now,the chimichangas were also good but the portions were very small,they give you 2 but both are only as big as an eggroll.It takes 6 of these to be the size of the chimichangas at Acapulco which are also delicious. The Acapulco also gives much more refried beans and also rice. So all in all it was a good place but will not go there again as there are so many more options for Mexican food. read more

¡Que Rico! y Delicioso! My husband ordered the Pollo San Jose. I ordered three street talks, carnitas, steak, and chicken. All of our food was fabulously cooked. Our server was kind and served us quickly after being seated. The restaurant has colorful flags hanging throughout the ceiling of the interior of the restaurant. It had lovely Mexican music playing to help you feel that you were in another place eating, you have just been transported to abuelita's house. First off with the staff. They were very nice and friendly. However, the food was super bland with a white canned cheese sauce. That was just awful. The food had no taste. What should have been hot platters had cold ingredients put on top making the dish itself kind of lukewarm. Even the salsa rice and beans were super bland. One more thing - OK two more things number one they had the Mexican version of Green Day pla too loudly in the restaurant and number two. 2. Kinda cheesy decorations with too many "flags." We were really disappointed with our dinner tonight. It took about 15 minutes just to get chips and salsa after being seated, and things went downhill from there. The food was honestly terrible. The chicken in both the burrito and enchilada was tiny little bits that didn't taste fresh or appetizing at all. The overall quality made me genuinely uncomfortable about what I was eating. The only decent part of the meal was the sauce, which was good enough to help cover up how bad the food itself tasted. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst Mexican restaurant experiences we've had, and we won't be returning. read more

The chef left to the bathroom and was not looking good. Came back after a long time in the bathroom, then about 15 minutes later, cleaning team went to the bathroom with a mop. Obviously he was sick, and now we're all grossed out and saying prayers he doesn't get us sick. Sadly, we had already started eating when this was realized. It was no problem to stop eating, however. The food is so filling and packed with flavor! Sometimes when you order a meatless option at a restaurant, it's a little disappointing because no one thought through a decent vegetarian substitute-- but I ordered the burrito with veggie option of spinach and mushrooms and it did not disappoint. We also got the carnitas and al pastor tacos, the carnitas were really juicy and tender. The pastor came out a little drier than expected, yet still tasty. We ordered pina coladas off the inner juice menu, but the frozen NA versions came out instead, which were very large portions and a couple dollars extra. If we had known that, we probably would have gotten just one to share. There were large TVs everywhere playing UFC and NBC, but there was no volume and no subtitles unfortunately. Service was really attentive and we were sat and served really quickly. I would definitely come again, especially to try the horchata. read more

We were all in the mood for Mexican food, and tried out a new place. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken fast as well. The dining area is rather spacious, even though the booths are a little smaller than normal, but still nice. The prices were quite decent as well. It took a few minutes to get our chips and salsa, but that was acceptable. My son ordered Walking Tacos. He liked them but thought it was very little food. My wife and I got Flaming Fajitas for Two. Though they came out sizzling hot, there was no flames. I rather like the experience at other places when my flaming dish comes out on fire. That dish was good. What we didn't enjoy, was our waiter. The fact that he didn't write our order down, isn't a big deal in general, but when I watch a waiter visibly having troubles remembering what we order, then asking for clarification after he walks away because he forgot something, bothers me. I fully expected our order to have issues, and it did. To make matters worse, he ignored our table. He only had 5 tables, but our drinks went dry and stayed dry. Getting our bill was a hassle as well. He never came back after delivering our food, but he walked by with his head turned a dozen times. The restaurant was maybe half full, but our food still took nearly 30 minutes to come out. The overall experience made me not want to come back. read more

What a great Tex-Mex style restaurant in Maple Grove & a few other locations. This perticular location is a little hidden, but once you know you know! They have a bunch of daily deals & of course Happy Hour! They have great options for margaritas, beer, and various other cocktails. Not drinking alcohol or have kids along? Try the jarritos sodas! I tried lime and really enjoyed it. They delivered chips and salad to the table. We also ordered Teresa's Chipotle Dip which was sooo yummy. Its made with their signature melted cheese, Chipotle sauce, grilled chicken, steak & topped with cilantro! The chips are perfect & the dip was sooo cheesy and yummy! Definitely recommend this one I grabbed on of Teresa's favorites - the street tacos. You can choose from various protine, but I went with Pollo asado. The street tacos come with onions & cilantro. You can get corn or flour tortillas. I grabbed corn as that's how I taco! These come with a side of rice, beans, and limes. The two salsas that come with are really good. We moved here from California so I preface that to my review as we have been told by Minnesotans this is the place to go in Maple Grove. The staff is great and their is ample seating in the restaurant and at the bar which is nice for a local place. The food however is average and many of our dishes felt over cooked and not fresh. The salsa was frozen and we tried three entrees for the family. The kids choices are solid but I don't love this place enough to think it's worth what you spend. I love Mexican food and have experienced Mexican food in some states. Heck, I even regularly ate at La Casa Bonita whenever people came to visit us in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so I've tried everything from a local hole-in-the-wall to the queen of kitsch. I've eaten at Teresa's in Maple Grove many times and most times have been pleased with the food and service. Tonight the food wasn't up to usual standards. Wasn't awful, just wasn't as good as usual. Chips and salsa arrived at the table tonight, and the chips lacked flavor like some off-brand you might find in a clearance center. The salsa was red and had some green accents but was bland which was utterly unexpected. I tried to jazz it up and never got to a level of flavor that was satisfying. The menu offers up lots of entrees with all the traditional foods like enchiladas (Tres Marias is a favorite, $13), burritos, fajitas, some combos and options that are unique to their restaurants. Points for offering creative options. Tonight the food arrived piping hot but lacking the deep, intense flavors we've come to expect when eating at Teresa's. It was bland and seemed more like something that could be heated up in a convenience store microwave. I took home a Tres Marias for my husband, and he reheated his meal in the microwave and raved about how good it was so I would consider that successful on the takeout portion. read more

These people have completely lost there frickin minds! I orginally ordered two grilled chicken tacos and one shredded beef taco, then I was still hungry so I ordered three additional grilled chicken tacos. The chicken meat was not very flavorful or hot, and the chicken meat seemed a bit chewy and tuff. The shredded beef taco was extremely greasy and gross. I only ate what i ordered that was served to out of respect and because I was extremely hungry. I ordered a ice water with a lemon with my meal, so there was no charge for that. Although when the bill came I was in shock to get a bill for $36 for six tacos with absolutely nothing else. I brought it to another staff members attention and he did a slight adjustment on my bill to make it $32 although that is still ridiculous for six tacos. I will never give this restaurant any business ever again and I am going to recommend all my colleagues,friends and associates don't give them any business either. read more

This review has been years in the making. Yes, years. I have gotten meals from this location several times through the last few years. They have been wildly inconsistent so I never wrote a review. Well, I think I'm finally done with this location. I have mostly ordered the same thing, Lindo's special with the cheese on the side. Here's the description from the menu: steak, chicken and shrimp grilled with onions, squash, bell peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Served over a bed of rice and topped with our signature cheese sauce and tortillas on the side. In the past, when I've ordered the dish as is, the cheese over powered the dish and made it too salty. So I started ordering the cheese on the side. When I've done this at a different location, it was perfectly seasoned and I was able to enjoy all of the flavors, including that of the cheese. I've received such wildly different dishes, ordering this same dish from this location that I had to look at the menu again. The last time, as they had before, they gave me a small sauce container of cheese. Not nearly the amount they'd use in the dish. When asked about it, they made my husband purchase a side of cheese. Good thing he did. They dish was so bland and lacked most of the ingredients, including the rice. I've given this location chance after chance after chance hoping they'd be better. They have messed up 90% of the times I've ordered from them. I'll have to travel to another location if I really want Teresa's. This location has let me down enough. Learn from me. They won't get better. They don't want to do better. I'm surprised this location is still open. read more

This is a solid Mexican restaurant in Maple Grove! Nothing crazy but good portions and good prices! The chips and salsa are outstanding and the hot sauce is outstanding! Great lunch specials as well! We were there a week ago. I ordered a vegetarian burrito with spinach , mushrooms onions. It was loaded with can spinach and can mushrooms. They might as well have called it spinach burrito. I asked for sour cream 3-4 tiny blobs in burrito. I love fresh spinach and mushrooms. The spinach is for Popeye! Had I known I was getting canned vegetables I would have gone to Taco Bell and not wasted our money. The restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for using nasty spinach and mushrooms. read more
