This is the first time we've been back here in a long while. So long that my daughter forgot if she "likes" the garlic noodles. The kind cashier gave my daughter a nice sized free sample without a second thought. So nice. There were several regulars here tonight. I love this place! I live their korean bbq and their Chinese chicken salad! I know it sound wierd...but the salad is delicious and the dressing makes it even better! The side dishes like the bean sprouts and broccoli are on point and it reminds me how my korean grandma used to.make it! First off, the parking sucks at this place. When I walked in, I saw Pasadena's finest eating lunch. This is usually a good sign for a restaurant. I ordered the chicken plate with romaine lettuce and a side of Asian slaw. The chicken was overcooked and dry. I had to douse it in teriyaki sauce for it to taste decent. The Asian slaw was good. The food tastes w/e and the price is decent I guess, but the service is horrible! I ordered the chicken teriyaki to go over the phone, and when I got there the food took another 10-15 min to come out and they messed up my order (they didn't give me my side order). The cashier's also horrible, he charged me $20 for an order of chicken teriyaki. And when I told him I only ordered 1 entree, he said, no you didn't. Went there earlier this week with a group of friends and didn't have a very good experience. There was only one cashier open and you could tell she was overwhelmed at the sight of 8 of us walking through the door during lunch time. The employee bringing out the food didn't seem to care what he was handing out because at one point I asked him what he was bringing (in an attempt to help him) and he said, "dark chicken" One of my friends inquired if that was the all white meat bowl and he says, "yes, here." This was clearly wrong. One person in our group waited almost 40 minutes for a chicken bowl and I had to ask twice for my side veggies. I haven't had a bad experience here yet. The food is reasonably priced. I order the chicken bowl doubled up on the chicken. You also get two sides. I prefer the garlic noodles and romaine lettuce. Close to work and I can call in my order and not have to wait. Very convenient. read more

Asian fast food with a bit of a twist. A but healthier and from my experience is pretty fresh. The chicken bowl, sesame chicken salad,and spicy noodle soup are my go to choices. If you are a ramen connoisseur steer clear if the of the soup it for a less refined pallet. They have recently added a breaded cod to the menu and spicy pork I'll try one next time. read more

Please try Teri & Yaki again -- they were top notch dependable for years and they had a bad spell in 2008-2009 by changing their famous chicken, but they are back to doing it right again -- I most recommend their chinese chicken salad with crispy homemade wontons and dressing you might want to mainline it is so good.... I also love their white rice, noodles, and dark meat teriyaki chicken (standard meal) with their sweetened potatoes or with salad with its own unique dressing.... yum Super nice owner, Ryan Their parking lot is behind the restaurant so you have to enter from Locust Street I believe to park but that works once you figure it out--from Lake I head West on WALNUT Street, then take my first right heading North and take my first right again heading East and then there is a driveway on the right to find their parking lot. read more

I've been to your Lake ave restaurant several times now when the soap dispenser does not work. And it STILL doesn't work. It's not that it's empty because I complained to the employees, it's that the dispenser is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. It's gross to think your female employees can't wash their hands due to this and it's not their fault. Clearly the owners are too cheap to replace it and thereby jeopardizing the publics health. read more

I used to come to this place because it is close to work, but after continuously waiting for long periods of time for my food, I had stopped coming. Plus the parking for this location is not very good. After a couple years of not having come, I decided today to give it another try. If anything this place is worse than before. I ordered and it took aproximately 15 minutes to get my food. I say approximately because I didn't look at the time when I had ordered, so I checked my receipt to see the time stamp, but what good is that when the registers time is not set correctly. 15 minutes I wouldn't make a big deal about if the place was busy, or the food was FRESH, not only was there only 1 order ahead of mine, but the food tasted as if it was leftovers from the day prior reheated. Worst meal I've ever had from teri & yaki. While I tried to enjoy my meal as much as one possibly could, you've got a couple one of the employees kids screaming, running around, playing with the fountain drink machine, it was madness. The (assumed to be) owner comes in and not even did he ask for them to settle down. Madness, I will definitely no longer be spending my money here. You are better off traveling to terriyaki madness on hill or mako bowl in East pasadena for some real fresh teriyaki. Good luck if you still decide to eat here. read more

Small little restaurant with a short menu. It was very easy to access and was very flexible to change around to make sure you get exactly what you want. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Plate ($7.50) and got half rice, and full stir-fried noodles (big mistake). The chicken was pretty good and the rice was your normal white rice, but the stir fried noodles were honestly really bad. I don't know if its something you need a taste for, but me and the person I was with both did not like the noodles one bit. Highly do not suggest getting stir-fried noodles - substitute it for something else. Other than that, the waitress was super sweet and the service was very fast! someone got paid big bucks to design the interior of this place. while the pier one stools/chairs, stone and bamboo adorned walls, and classic black and red paint really says "asian", its still a fast food restaurant. i admired it anyway because it still looked brand new, and its art... even if it smells like cooked meat. its wonderful how they cater to the dieters and non-mammal eaters alike. very limited, but its still there on the menu. so i ordered a "power combo": POWERchicken, POWERrice and a POWERside! BABIES! eh... the chicken wasnt as marinated as they claimed it would be. but it wasnt like chewing on a cracker either. the brown rice was surprisingly fluffy and my side of veggies tasted deliciously spicy, as requested. but why was it the most expensive? 12 oz of chicken looked shockingly similar to 6 oz of chicken, except for the price. almost ten bucks? at least i had left overs. my bf said -shrug- "it's good." i also had to try the cookie melt before i left. at first i imagined a pazooki or an ice cream cookie sandwich. mmmm, sounded so good. but then after choosing which cold baked-before-we-open-for-business cookies, the lady stuck the cookies sideways in a styrofoam bowl and dropped two small scoops of vanilla ice cream in between 'em. hm. it wasnt that enjoyable to eat either. convenient? yea. portion size? huge. healthy? i wouldnt know. but it was good for lunch and not good enough to ever have a craving for it. read more

This place is good! Great place for a quick lunch. Their broccoli is amazingly fresh and has a vinegary type of sauce on it that is very light. You wouldn't even know until you bit into the broccoli. The noodles were really good and both the beef and chicken were tasty. I would go again! read more
