Loveee the sushi rolls here so much~ I forgot which one I got but it tasted amazing and their fried tempura dish is amazing as well! Me and my brother also love their yakisoba noodle dish. A small local business in East LA that has decent sushi. We ordered: California roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Crunch roll, and Spider roll. The taste was good and filling. Inside was just the sushi maker and one other worker who was working the register and servicing the guests. Both were nice and greeted us with a smile. The place was pretty busy and it's nice to see this local business is being supported. read more

This place is such a hidden gem for me. I found this spot on yelp a couple years back while working around the area and craving sushi. I've only had their sushi rolls and they hit the spot everytime. The service is always super friendly and nice. Whether I order in person or over the phone. It can get busy and packed so if you're on a time crunch I suggest ordering over the phone. The ambience is pretty calm. The rolls always taste fresh and I can tell the sushi chef loves what he does. Overall this place is my go to for sushi. read more

The tempura is made better than many restaurants. The spicy tuna roll is actually spicy and good. The spicy pork and spicy chicken is just spicy enough. Living alone, I get take out and the order is always ready in the time I am told. The waiting area is always clean and well kept. The only traditional dish, that is prepared traditionally is his miso soup. It could be stronger tasting. read more

They have a great menu with many fusion sushi's. They are located in a funky shape building on busy Atlantic Boulevard. There are not many customers there and I see many take out. Their sushi's are great if you like it with an American twist. I don't think they are open late. read more

I found this place by lucky chance. The usual teriyaki sushi place close to my work was closed, but I was craving sushi so much so I looked around and it was very close to my work, in a nice little corner. You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. Hostess/server was extremely polite, helpful and nice. My order was done right away and to my liking. I will definitely be coming here more. My go to for any Japanese food! The price for the portion size is reasonable, Ive dined in and had it for take out. I've only ever seen two people working there and they both polite and kind. My mom said they have the best spice tuna she's ever tried. And I've like everything I've got from here, I would add photos but any food I get is gone before I even think about capturing it. read more

The crunch roll (shrimp tempura with California roll), was a standout with these super thin crispies on top and yummy sauce on the side! December 2021 - Went there for lunch. 1 Salmon Bento Box 1 Bugolgi Bento Box 2 rolls 1 can coke $75!!! Just wow! Never in my life have I ever paid this much in a sushi restaurant for this amount of food. I placed a phone order expecting some normal prices so I never asked how much it was. When I got there I had to give the bill a second look. Then I looked up at the prices and seen each Bento box was $20!!! Just wow! I will never come back here. Talk about price gouging. I had been here many years ago and on a whim decided to give it another try. Small place on the corner with shared parking lot. Maybe it was the evening I went, but the line to order was out the doors and it was a cold, damp night. Service was friendly and the menu offers something for everyone. Placed my order and they gave me a thirty minute wait time. The place is very small with a few tables inside. Set my phone timer and waited in my car. I went back in and my order was ready as promised. The cashier checked my bag to make sure I had chopsticks, soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. Got home and dug in...I got the machu pichu and the fire roll. The sushi rolls are creative and flavors just go well together. Rolls are big and I got full without completely finishing. Will definitely be back. read more

My favorite go-to sushi spot! It's walking distance from my house and we have to make it a bi-weekly dinner meal I get the Machu Pichu and it is by far the best cream cheese roll I've ever had! With the spicy edamame mmmmm delicious! Everytime I stop by, it's the same man behind the counter cheffing it up working his magic! It's a small restaurant but never hard to find a place to sit! Wow, what a hidden Gem of a place! I discovered this wonderful restaurant while living near East Los Angeles. I wanted Sushi and didn't want to travel far with traffic (when there was traffic) so we decided to try this place out. Boyyyy am I glad we did. We've eaten at the 100$ sushi places in Santa Monica and downtown and NONE of these restaurants even come close to what Teriroll has to offer! It is a family owned business, who not only has bombbb sushi but phenomenal service. I was blown away with how friendly and accommodating the staff is. It's hard enough finding good service in LA but match that with a delicious sushi roll and I'll never eat another over priced sushi place again! The rolls are thick and tasty. Not 30$ for a small 6 piece roll that doesn't even taste good! The sushi alone would make me go back but the service and price is why I will never eat another sushi place besides Teriroll. Definitely give them a chance if your ever in the area! If your not in the area, it's worth the drive! read more

The plaza itself is unassuming, and at 7pm on a Thursday, most other businesses in the plaza had closed. The lot was full, so we paid $12 for valet parking across the street. We waited for about 10 minutes for our seats at the bar, and honestly, the bar was so much fun! We sat right in front of our sushi chef and orated our orders directly to him, piece by piece. He was such a jovial soul and made our experience so warm and enjoyable. I was very impressed not only with his ability to make sushi but the attention and care he paid to his customers. For example, he noticed that I especially enjoyed the fattier cuts of fish such as ootoro and salmon toro, so when I ordered yellowtail, he recommended that I try the kanpachi toro instead. It was a great recommendation, and in that moment, I felt so seen. The chefs here are truly masters of their craft, both in sushi making and hospitality. In total, I had the toro, salmon, unagi, scallops, kanpachi, salmon toro, and kanpachi toro. Every piece of nigiri I had was very fresh and delicious. My favorite pieces of sushi had to be the toro. You actually get two different cuts of toro with one order, chuutoro and ootoro which are medium fatty and full fatty respectively. Each piece was so delicious and indulgent, I don't know if I can choose a favorite. That's right, I made an account just to write a review. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, a hidden gem , so what I'm trying to say is that its amazing. The outside isn't really that appealing but once you go inside it's really clean and the ambience is nice and friendly. I heard about this place from my mom, who is a huge sushi lover. This is definitely going to be my go to place for sushi and teriyaki. The first time I came I decided to order the crunch crunch and picante roll. Crunch roll was DELICIOUS, really recommend for sushi beginners. The picante roll was a bit spicy, hence it's name, really good. This is literally my 5th time here and everytime I come the food is just phenomenal. REASONS WHY THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB: 1)The service is as amazing as it gets. 2)The quality of the food is so fresh and ugghhh delicious. Whenever I come here I try to taste different type of rolls (for they have many options) and as expected ALL TASTY. My top 3 rolls are crunch crunch, double double anddd the butterfly roll, which is just lovely in presentation and its super scrumptious. As for the teriyaki, it taste FRESH and the teriyaki sauce is really nice in flavor as for the quantity it's GREAT. This place never disappoints me. Always saves me when I'm in hunger. Best sushi place in town, this place is an awesome place for a quick sushi fix. Food is always well served! Highly recommend! This place NEVER disappoints in terms of the quality of food and service. The family that owns the restaurant are always super friendly and welcoming. They are consistent with their food quality and service and I love coming here for an inexpensive, delicious dinner. I really liked the bento box (chicken terriyaki). The chicken was really good and the sauce was delicious. I also got the Hawaiian avocado rolls and the eel/salmon rolls (sorry forgot the name) both were delicious. Hawaiian avocado rolls were my favorite though and I highly recommend. The place itself was really clean and neat, its family owned and you can tell they have standards. I would def. come back and recommend to anyone looking for a lunch spot. read more

I'm a real sushi junkie! Everyone who knows me knows that! I think this is not the best place for sushi lovers, but still it's better than many others. In general their sushi is good, but please don't take rainbow roll. Honestly, that was nothing like sushi. But other stuff was pretty much tasty. I LOVE THIS SUSHI RESTAURANT!!!! Everything I've tried is amazing. But my favorite rolls are the baked salmon, crunch crunch and the caterpillar roll. At first I wasn't sure if I should try this restaurant, but once I did absolutely loved it!!!! Will always go here for my sushi!!! And the miso soup is good! I didn't know this place changed its name but regardless, an old place that stood time in the area. The food is decent, but the atmosphere is quite uncomfortable.
