I really really enjoy there food! Very delicious! But what I dislike is the prices are a bit high. Also depending on the person that rings you up is What really bothers me is that it's never the same price . My usual order is their chicken teriyaki entree. If the gentleman rings me up I can do the chicken teriyaki entree and I substitute the miso soup for a side salad, with a drink and a side of spicy Mayo. Rings me up for almost $23. If I order from the lady she says I am not allowed to substitute my miso soup for a side salad. She can ring me up for a few pieces of lettuce for $5 and then take away the miso soup. Annoying. And there phone service is horrible. Can't always get through. read more

Wow! Best sushi I've had since moving to LA two years ago. A true gem tucked away behind a busy intersection. As other reviews say, my order tasted fresh, had a great kick to the sauce, and was absolutely MASSIVE. The toppings and fillings could easily be squeezed into a second roll. She told me Teriroll is the place she does for lunch all the time, so much so that they have memorized her order! My mind was made up, that's where I wanted to eat. I ordered the bibimbap bento plate like any self-respecting fat girl would do, and it did not disappoint! Do yourself a favor and get lots of that spicy mayo. The bento bowl I ordered came with veggie tempura with the ponzu sauce. It was so crispy, and delicious that it didn't make it home; I finished it in the car. Four pieces of sushi, the flavorful bibimpap on a bed of white rice and a salad. Cons? I'd say the price, I spent just under $20 on the bibimbap bento plate and it did not come with a drink. Also, the salad was meh, just some chunky cut lettuce and thousand island dressing. Would this keep me from going back? Heck no, the food was delicious! read more

Ordered the chicken teriyaki bento special and it was a lot of food for the price which was awesome. Service is good, employees are friendly. The miso soup was amazing. I was confused by the salad because it had ranch dressing on it and a lot of it. I wish I had a choice of dressing or they had put it on the side. There was also a random onion ring that went with the tempura vegetables. Something I noticed: no one went to go bus the table next to us the entire time we ate there so there was someone else's trash next to us for about 25 minutes at least. The dude knows what he's doing by the taste of it. If you're into the warm meals the beef yaki soba will make your mouth drool just at the scent and look. I've been coming here ten years now and it's among my top 10 hole in the wall places to eat in L.a. Happy from my first bite and happy to return since then. We look at the menu decided to order we the teriyaki chicken with tempura shrimp comes with miso soup and we order also edamame and California roll. We sat down and waited for our meal then cashier/server brought us the edamame. The edamame were very good and warm with a touch of salt that add flavor in edamame that we enjoy. They he brought the teriyaki chicken and tempura shrimp and the California rolls. The California rolls were very delicious it have a good flavor better that the California rolls at Rutsu 18. The color of ginger was pink at Rutsu 18 they ginger was white/yellow I enjoy the ginger from both restaurants. My wife and I enjoy the teriyaki chicken and tempura shrimp it was delicious it have flavors in many ways we enjoy it. The macaroni salad was really good including the sides salad. Came here because it was on the way home and I was craving sushi and I thought the sushi was great but a bit pricey. I ordered a roll with california roll on the bottom and raw salmon over top. It is a rather simple roll and I really enjoyed it. The fish was fresh and the roll was well constructed. Also, the service was amazing! Although i've read reviews that say the portions here are generous, I didn't feel like my roll was particularly filling. That roll itself totaled $13 and although it tasted good and it was fresh, I don't see myself spending that much on just one simple roll in the future. The spicy tuna with salmon roll was ok, meh, but I am a sushi snob and have had the best sushi on the west side. To me if the fish smells and taste fishy it seems not as fresh as I would prefer, but again I am a snob. If I could I think I'd give this place 2 1/2 stars. Let me explain why... First, the sushi was ok; our order was wrong. We asked for a seaweed salad and we got a sashimi salad;they never took our edamame bowl w trash away so when they gave us our food it was in our way. Second, we got our sushi without chopsticks and napkins. My gf was never offered any more water (which I think is important) and third, we didn't get any wasabi or ginger with our sushi. PS. Just a tip every order is MADE TO ORDER so I would give them at least 45min to an hour if they are busy. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!! We order it and then pick it up.
