Loveee the sushi rolls here so much~ I forgot which one I got but it tasted amazing and their fried tempura dish is amazing as well! Me and my brother also love their yakisoba noodle dish. Service has always been great and they are very attentive :) will definitely be back to try another one of their rolls and their eel nigiri sushi

A small local business in East LA that has decent sushi. We ordered: California roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Crunch roll, and Spider roll. The taste was good and filling. Inside was just the sushi maker and one other worker who was working the register and servicing the guests. Both were nice and greeted us with a smile. The place was pretty busy and it's nice to see this local business is being supported.

I was always curious about this place since I drove by it many times so I decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint, this was probably the best sushi I ever had, it was so yummy and the portions were pretty big too. It was very flavorful. Would recommend coming!

I found this place by lucky chance. The usual teriyaki sushi place close to my work was closed, but I was craving sushi so much so I looked around and it was very close to my work, in a nice little corner. You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. Hostess/server was extremely polite, helpful and nice. My order was done right away and to my liking. I will definitely be coming here more. Rolls were so fresh, and bulgogi entree was made fresh and seriously just the way I like it. It even smelled so delicious, that I knew I'm gonna love the taste. Totally loved it.... Recommend

My favorite is the baked salmon and the dynamite roll. The staff is also very kind. The wait can be long at times, but we'll worth it.

The ambience has improved tremendously and everything is so cute with a full sushi bar. They also have a greatly expanded menu and are offering many items that you won't find elsewhere. One of those that I tried is the castle tower. This is composed of 3 fired wonton wrappers each topped with blue crab, avocado slices and a little bit of red onion. Presentation is very nice and the blue crab was a generous helping. Honestly, everything was really good and I cannot wait to go back.

Value wise it is definately very value priced. It seem like their lunch also has a good bento value as well. Parking is massive since it's part of a shopping plaza, though the restaurant itself seems a bit out of place and can easily be missed when you're driving by. They do have a really wide selection of rolls. The other person in my group got the spider roll and truly enjoy it. However, it was disappointing that there wasn't much variety for non-fried food in the bento combinations. A good bento box should be a balanced meal, but pretty much my whole meal felt fried. Also, the place doesn't fully represent a traditional Japanese aesthetic, it feels alot more like a Korean twist on sushi. Overall, great for the wallet and good rolls, but just okay on the balance of the bento meal.

The portions were generous, the flavors were on point, and everything tasted fresh. The ramen had a rich, flavorful broth, and the Yellowtail Delight Roll was just as good as it looked. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was amazing, Riley was our server. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. Great customer service definitely made the experience even better. Parking was probably the biggest challenge. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with several other businesses, so finding a spot can take a little patience, especially during busy hours. The atmosphere is modern, lively, and welcoming. It feels like one of those places that works for almost any occasion. Whether you're grabbing dinner with friends, going on a date, celebrating a birthday, or just craving good sushi and ramen, this spot fits the bill. I'll definitely be coming back. Easy 5 out of 5. We tried our best to eat as fast as we could and we actually finished exactly at 10pm. Our rolls were sitting on the counter for a good while so we felt even more rushed to eat faster. Is the owner not paying their staff to come in 10-15 mins before opening/closing so they have to be clean and closed by 10pm? I've never been to an established nor worked for a restaurant that's done that. We won't be back and don't recommend Mikomi. We felt like we were in an eating contest. We could've easily finished our food by 10pm but our rolls were just sitting on the counter as mentioned. The manager the male running the hostess stand in the front was quite hostile as well when we came in right at 9:20pm. If you don't want to sit us you don't have to.

They also have a back entrance that you can enter from. If the parking lot is full, you can find some street parking or do what I did and park in the 99 ranch plaza just behind their small parking lot (or behind the brick wall). They have amazing artwork and "relics" throughout the restaurant. It is also dim creating a more intimate atmosphere. They have their own sushi chef who makes their rolls and sashimi. Their staff are completely top notch service! Even the owner came around and asked us how our service is going. I ordered some yakitori and Im new to the scene so I haven't seen many variations. I had to try their chicken skin. Like my friend described it to me, its like eating pork grinds because it is soooo crispy! Their pork belly was good, not too salty. We also ordered their stir fry noodles and it smelled delicious and looked great! We also ordered some sushi rolls and when we couldn't finish them, they gave us a sushi box to take home. It was very cute! However, the highlight of our dinner was their ube mochi!! Highly, no, MUST recommend getting this little piece of dessert! They do offer it as part of their catering option. You get a whole sheet pan, about 40 pieces for $75. They require a 24 hr notice for this order. The ube is grown in Hawaii and is only made in-house. I need to take my husband here, its so good!

We were a party of two and were given a choice of a table for two or a more comfy booth. Since my guest was my mom, comfy booth. She had the Don (bento) with fried pork wet on top of rice, with eggy soy sauce. ..I sampled it ... It was great 5/5. I had the chicken was crispy 5/5 not gready...chicken was tender yet crunchy panko breaking... with curry.. the curry had a slight bitter note but it was fine, and thick, it was a bit goopy on the pour... and had a thin skinlike layer which was odd but it ate fine 4/5 There's a free appetizer...choice of fried oyster or fried crab cream like a large round rangoon...I can't eat seafood, bit mom enjoyed it. She gave it 5/5. We both loved the salad, the pickled carrots and two cubesof sweet potato., and the pickled Persian cucumbers. Small tiny discreet portions of each but elegantly and a great palette cleanser...the salad dressing was tart and light. 5/5 The utensils are pre-set on the table and so is the sweet tonkatsu sauce in a small carafe also preset....there's not much interaction with the bust wait staff, but it was easy to catch their eye to ask questions, get the check, or clear the dishes...I had hot cup of green tea. But no checking for more. But I'm sure icould have flagged down a waiter had I really wanted more. They deliver the food and fly off, so don't ne afraid to stop them to make your requests...they are nice about it. You can also get a pitcher of Sapporo if you drink beer and are a larger parry which I thought was nice considering Sappora usual comes by the bottle. Parking is plentiful in the back...and free. We enjoyed. Very much. Just know 1) no desserts on menu. 2) yes there's a kids menu and 3) every protein is deep fried.
