I hate leaving bad reviews but as my son says, someone outta know. So with that said here's the good, the bad, and the indifferent. Food-5/10. When we decided to try this place, it was because I was still getting over some crud and there is nothing I love more than spicy beef noodle soup when I want to annihilate a bit of the ick. Sadly this was a disappointment. The soup while spicy lacked any aromatics or other flavors. The noodles were a bit overdone and the beef was dry and tough. The teriyaki chicken was sweet and sticky but had no umami flavor. The dumplings were soggy and falling apart. Service-6/10. There was one person working the front of the restaurant and I'm assuming at least one more person cooking in back. While there were no other customers in the restaurant when we arrived and no one seemingly coming to pick up carry out orders while we waited and eventually ate, the food took quite some time to come out. The staff only spoke to us to take our order and call us to the counter to pick it up. Atmosphere-9/10. The restaurant is clean and simple located in an easily accessible strip mall. Nothing fancy but also not dirty or unkempt. Overall, I can't say that I would give this a second visit. Sometimes when things are off you can tell it's just an off day. Maybe the food is bad but the service is spectacular or visa versa. This just felt mundane and that no energy or effort was being given.

I'll start by saying the service and workers were very nice. The restaurant was not bad at all it looked pretty clean. The food was OK. I have had lots of teriyaki places. Most of them I went to in Seattle and I know they are very known for teriyaki there so I may be a little biased on the flavor but I feel like the teriyaki sauce is watery and just runny at this restaurant. It's not really a teriyaki sauce it's almost more like soy sauce with a teriyaki flavor. I would say this is almost like a mall restaurant but slightly worse in some cases. I would probably try to give them another chance but the teriyaki sauce is so watery it's really just chicken over rice. I didn't take other pictures I got it to go and I think because it wasn't that great I didn't even take any pictures

We've visited this place twice and had great experiences both times. While they have plenty of seating, I noticed that most customers seem to prefer ordering online, as many pick up their food instead of dining in. During our visits, we tried their lomein, chicken, and beef teriyaki, all of which were delicious and very affordable. On our second visit, I had the beef noodles, which were tasty, though I would have preferred egg noodles (as shown in the pictures) over the rice noodles. I was informed that beef comes with rice noodles but I can request to substitute them with egg noodles next time--something I definitely plan to do! We're also excited to try their fried rice on our next visit.

This is the second time that I have visited this restaurant within a cook. All orders are cooked to order. The food is fresh delicious and feasibly priced. The establishment is clean and parking is convenient.

I would eat Panda Express before ever going back here and I hate it! I barely ate anything! We took an Uber over from the marina we were staying at. Firstly this is mainly a take out place, that's fine. There are four tables. Food was served in to go boxes with paper plates and plastic spoons and forks. Little tiny napkins and no knives. We ordered an appetizer, soup, rice and a main. Everything came out together. We ordered Wonton and Hot & Sour soup. Steamed Dumplings, Vegetable Fried Rice and Orange Chicken that came with white rice. The best part of the meal was the white rice! The Steamed Dumplings were barely cooked with very little meat in them and were probably cooked in a microwave. The Wonton Soup was just ok. The Hot & Sour Soup had so much bean curd in it that should have been its name. I ate half of the cup because that was the best part of my meal! The Vegetable Fried Rice was disgusting. It was soggy and tasteless. I had about one bite. My husband's Orange Chicken had so much breading on it was hard to find the chicken. He ate about half of it because he's not that picky and was really hungry! We got a bonus's Pork Egg Roll because we spent over $40. I ate two bites of it and spit the second one out! We also had two bottles of water, no issues with the water. Overall it was a terrible experience. I will say that many reviews talked about small portions we thought the portions were fine. I'm giving this review one star because I can't give a zero!

The chicken was burnt and looked completely different from what I expected based on the only teriyaki meat photo they have listed on the app. Yes, I understand the picture says beef sticks and I ordered chicken, but I still expected the chicken to be prepared in a similar style, not looking like it barely escaped a house fire. Even though I ordered delivery, I personally drove back up to the restaurant with my plate and explained that I was disappointed. I asked if they could either remake it or let me switch it for something of equal or lesser value. I specifically asked for the boneless spare ribs combination plate, which was the same price. Instead, I was offered either a discount or for them to remake only the meat, throw away the rice, clean out the same plate, and put the newly made meat back in it. :/ The young lady also explained that they offer the chicken teriyaki sticks as a combination platter, but not the regular chopped chicken teriyaki with sauce, which is actually more of what I was looking for. That can only be purchased by itself. I even had to show her the options listed on Uber Eats, which made the whole situation even more confusing. Honestly, this could have been avoided if the regular chicken teriyaki was offered as a combination platter on the app or if the menu made the difference clearer. As for the advertised photo versus what I actually received? Straight up catfish. I should've called Nev. The picture shows glossy, properly cooked teriyaki meat. Mine looked like it had been left on the grill during an emergency evacuation. I've been coming here for the past few years and have never had an issue before. I've always spoken highly of this place and recommended it to other people, which is exactly why this experience was so disappointing. It definitely left a nasty taste in my mouth. Or maybe that was just the burnt chicken teriyaki.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
