Easily the best Chinese in Jacksonville. I always get the spare rib, krab wonton and steamed dumplings. Their dumpling sauce is so delicious (not just regular soy sauce) that I always get extra to also add on top of rice. The customer service is also great. I once called them because I wanted to place an order but wouldn't be able to pick it up until 5-10 min after close and said it'd be okay if they didn't take my order. But the glady did. They will also sometimes throw in free Chinese donuts. I just can't recommend this place more. Me and my family frequent it so often. read more

Don't expect them to let you get away with asking for the lunch special at 3:01... They won't let you. Maybe at 2:59. I'm a New Yorker through and true, so I know what good Chinese food should taste like. I'm not talking the fancy stuff at the 5-star restaurants you see celebrities going to. I'm talking about the drunken night, need a quick nosh, stuck with nothing to cook, high-quality for low-cost junk you get in the hood. I'm used to my pork fried rice being cooked a certain way. It has a certain taste. I have not been able to find one place who makes the rice the way I love and am used to, so when we happened upon this place on a whim one time, it was like being right back home. Their food is pretty good for a Chinese place, and the prices are your basic $7.35 fora combination platter when you have missed the lunch special. They have an array of different platters but your basic menu as you would find in other places. I think it's a good quick place to go when you want decent Chinese food on the run when you're near the mall. The location is right off of Regency Square Blvd and Monument Rd. If you're shopping nearby at Target, the mall or even at Home Depot, then this is a good spot to hit up when you get a craving for an egg roll, some curry chicken or even just your basic chicken wings and french fries. Note* The curry chicken comes with A LOT of onions in it, but it is perfect when it comes to that spicy kick you're looking for. I picked out all my onions. I asked for 12 duck sauces, got 3 so I was a little disappointed. But the teriyaki beef skewers were not very good, I ate 2 of them. Not much flavor. The pork lo mein was terrible. I found this Chinese restaurant by accident - having my nails done two stores down from this place and could smell the wonderful aroma of the lunch the nail salon owner's son came in with. The smell was enough for me....had to try some for myself. I came from a place where we always got excellent shrimp egg fu young (my favorite!) and immediately wanted some. China House proved they also have excellent shrimp egg fu young...and they give you enough brown sauce for the whole meal without having to request more. The service was exceptional - very friendly in fact - and the pork fried rice and egg roll that came with it was also very good. I have been back a few times since my first order....every time I take my dog for grooming at a local pet store (she goes VERY often) - it has gotten to be tradition to stop there for take out lunch or dinner. Have also had their bourbon chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken - and once I ordered the Pu Pu platter - EXCELLENT!! I would recommend China House very highly. Go see for yourself! read more
