After being in Korea was excited to hear about this restaurant and their concept. They definitely nailed the quick, have everything in a bowl that can be eaten on the go with no issue. The sauces available are also a plus. The customer service is certainly a plus especially they offer a free Mandy for first timers. The ambiance felt welcoming but definitely not a Korean vibe.

I was a little concerned about coming here because of what the reviews said, but I ended up going anyways. It was lonely and the lady was very patient and explained the menu since i was a first timer. She was kind and patient. I ended up getting a bowl with noodles, cabbage, and white rice with 2 proteins: which included: beef and koko chicken along with a level 6 spice sauce! And added dumplings on the side with a drink. Total was 15$ plus the cents. I cannot explain how amazing this whole thing was! GO TO THIS PLACE DESPITE THE REVIEWS!!!! everything was so delicious

The food was delicious! This concept of Korean BBQ in a cup is genius! We were able to pick what went in and how spicy we wanted our food. We even got a free potsticker for it being our first time there. The employees were welcoming and explained the process well.

After my first time trying this place, I'm sad I wasn't at the grand opening! This is by far my new favorite spot! The atmosphere is clean, modern, unique and vibrant. The staff was super friendly and helpful with how their establishment works. They also are stingy with the sauces and THATS my type of spot. The sauces have variations so everyone can have their heat preference. The food OMGGGGGG to die for. I've been craving a Korean dog and they have them here too. The food is fresh, filling and so delicious. The prices are right and they have reward system that I can get behind! My only complaint is there isn't a location closer to my house, probably good for my wallet but seriously bring one to far east! I will be returning probably every other week. Highly recommend!

    Rock Bop Bowl

Overall great food for the price! They fill the food to the brim which is super good! Super fast service and amazing atmosphere as well!

We the got the Katsu bowl with japchae and rice. Mines with the junior spicy and it came out perfect.

I was expecting more flavor but was disappointed. I guess it meets El Paso standards.

Cafe Korea's New Far East Location: Great Food, But Some Growing Pains…read more Cafe Korea has officially reopened at 1452 N Zaragoza Rd Unit A-900, and as someone who missed their Northeast location, I was excited to visit. The space is larger, parking is easier, and the menu still features those comforting Korean staples--but there are some definite hiccups that need attention. First impressions: each table comes equipped with a portable butane grill, which is impressive considering the cost to run them. But while the grills worked well, the ventilation is poor--expect to leave smelling like smoke, and brace yourself for the heat. The restaurant was already uncomfortably warm, and with summer just starting, that's going to be a serious issue for both diners and staff. Service was, unfortunately, disorganized and inconsistent. While the staff were friendly, they seemed overwhelmed and underprepared. There didn't appear to be table assignments, and we often had to wave someone down for water or more banchan. At one point, I saw groceries being brought in through the back--suggesting that even the kitchen operation might be scrambling behind the scenes. Now, to the food--still the highlight. The banchan was delicious and clearly homemade, and once we got a refill, they were generous with portions. The meat quality was excellent, and we were able to share a BBQ set among two adults and two kids and still leave satisfied. But the price point? High. Our modest lunch totaled around $60, including charges for water. A friend who went earlier in the week paid $70 for a seafood pancake and galbi--for one person. With Gen Korean BBQ opening nearby offering all-you-can-eat options, and other local Korean spots like Tommy's Express and Garlic 1% serving equally fresh meals at lower prices, it's fair to question how sustainable this model is. Final Take: Cafe Korea still delivers on flavor, but the overall experience is rough around the edges. Between high prices, spotty service, and a sweltering dining room, it's hard to fully enjoy the meal. I want them to succeed--but to compete in today's Eastside food scene, they'll need to iron out the basics fast.

Fantastic lunch spot…read more We stopped by for lunch on a random let's try something new and really enjoyed this place. The service was very good. If we ran out of ban chan they were there to get us a resupply. I ordered the kimchi stew, and it came out just like I like it - spicy and piping hot. The stew had plenty of kimchi and plenty of beef. It was super good. The container of rice that it comes with was plenty. Liz went with the bulgogi, and it came out fresh on a hot skillet, well seasoned, and generous serving size. It also ce with a container of rice. The ambiance is kinda dicey, but to be honest, I was focused on eating the delicious food. I would return, and invite as many friends as I can.

The restaurant is spacious, plenty of seating for smaller or even large parties. The employee at the register was so good! He was very personable, kind, and informative. He gave us the rundown of the menu, gave his input on what was popular, and really made us feel welcome. We loved it. To eat I ordered the "Combo Bop," the option with 2 proteins, rice, noodles, cabbage and Cupbop's awesome sauce. I decided to order B Bop (Beef) and Mandoo (Potstickers) as my proteins. My chosen sauce level was "5." It was very good!! The beef was tender, potstickers were also tasty. Mixing all of the foods with the sauce made it all to be very delicious. The cup by itself left me satisfied, it's a good portion of food! We really enjoyed reading up on the restaurant's history too. If I remember correctly their story was on the wall. Definitely would come back!! And definitely recommend this place for anyone!

I know the sauces would have made a huge difference so whoever does an online order needs to pay attention to direction.

El Paso…read morewas one of our last stops on the way and we searched for Guy Fieri's visited restaurant list and found Kaemada. We had wonderful meals of BBQ, Southern, American and Mexican food but we started to miss our Ramen meals back home. This place was great. Ot had a youthful, edgy vibe with cozy and nice colorful decor. We ordered the Thicc Boi and Birria Ramen, and ordered sides of the Thai Peanut Cucumber Salad, and Pork buns. The salad was a nice appetizer. We wished we had this back home. The dressing tasted peanutty with black sesame seeds and a nice acid balance. Kaemada's Ramen has El Paso influences. The broth had full bodied flavor, the meat was cut thicker with grilled char! Please also try the Birrea Ramen! We eat Birria broth and tacos at home and this ramen bowl was a great marriage of the 2 dishes. The thick cut and grilled char feature was also included in the pork bun. It was so tasty and satisfying with the thick pork cut, which I often thought was too thin anyways in the original version. They took the best El Paso meat flavor and Japanese presentation influences to make Kaemada's dish unique and their own. Don't expect the delicate and refined dashi broth Japan has. Be open to the bold flavors of the pork and broth. Expect a Southwest and Japanese fusion of robust and evolved flavors. Personally, I like firm noodles so request it cooked this way. Izzy, our server was friendly and attentive. She made our meal there more pleasant. Don't forget to order the Yuzu Cheesecake, light and not so sweet with a strong presence of Yuzu. A great finish to our meal. 10/10.

An example would be the beef belly, which suddenly comes apart as you cook it, which may indicate the lower quality. Comparing the quality to other franchises, this wasn't as great and it left me disappointed. We stuck with the regular menu since the additional cost of upgrading to the premium tier (when the only worthwhile meat to us there was the wagyu) didn't seem reasonable to us. There's a wide variety of options for meats, and the menus with pictures were helpful to our friends who preferred the visual guide. The side dishes (banchan) were about 4 at a time as well, when I usually see 6 or more at other AYCE KBBQ establishments. The service was pretty good though. I forgot his name, but our server was very thoughtful and didn't rush our group as we picked our 4 meat choices (that's the limit each round). All in all, if you're used to other KBBQ spots (like in LA or NY), this might not hit the spot. But if you're fine with meats as long as they keep coming, then this should be just the right place for you!
