Had no idea this was a chain but I love it! I called in an order in my way over and only had to wait a couple minutes one I arrived. Service was really good, the cashier was very friendly and even brought out my order when I told her I was going to wait in my car. So sweet! Inside was clean. Stumbled upon this place after getting coffee next door. I've never been to a Teriyaki Madness, so I was excited to try this place. Contrary to the other reviews, I am satisfied with this place. The guy at the front asked if we've ever been there before and explained the entire menu to us. Similar to Panda Express, you pick a protein with a carb. Different to Panda is that each plate gets vegetables, which I really liked. You just aren't allowed to do half and half for carb so that was a bummer. I wanted the orange chicken and the guy offered something that was not on the menu but soon to be on the menu, which was spicy grilled orange chicken. I got this with the noodles and thought the meal was delicious. There was lots of sauce, sweet and spicy, so I could not complain. The one downside is that there are not many places to sit. There's only two tables (one I believe was for handicap), a high table seating 2, and limited bar top seating. There's a table or two out front but that's it. I find myself craving this place, similar to how I crave Panda Express. So I'd say this is a good thing :) read more

We've ordered from Teriyaki Madness a handful of times since they opened, and we keep coming back because it's honestly so good and way better than we expected. I originally thought it might be similar to Panda Express (which I'm not a big fan of), but the quality here is definitely a step above. The fried rice tastes like it came straight off a flat top from a Teppanyaki chef. It is so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I love their Katsu chicken and their teriyaki sauce (not as much a fan of the Katsu sauce, but that's just personal preference). We've also tried the teriyaki steak and teriyaki chicken, and everything has been consistently delicious. The white rice is solid, but my favorite side is the noodles. They're not overly oily, cooked perfectly, served super hot, and go well with every protein. We will definitely keep coming back whenever we're craving fast, good-quality Japanese food! read more

Sadly this place was so bad...won't be back. Tried the Mad Spicy steak bowl, which sounded delicious but the quality of the meat was sub par. The steak was thin, tough, gray and chewy, drowned in gelatinous sauce that was pure cayenne with no balance. Note: we love rice bowls and spicy food but this dish missed the mark. Training training training, I finally have a spot close to me when I'm in a bind for an easy teriyaki bowl! I've been coming to Teriyaki Madness for years. This new location has potential. However, the team is not efficient to handle lines and maintaining the dining area. I've gone twice. My first experience was not a good impression. I wasn't advised before I ordered that they ran out of white rice. I was asked if the switch to brown was ok. The quality of the food was consistent and tasted good. I think there's a female chef in the back that tells order up and wow! Both times have been super good! I get the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl with veggies with no onions on white rice. It's just as good as the locations I've been to in other states. Definitely my favorite. Service and cleanliness needs to be addressed. It seems that the cashiers don't know the menu. The interactions have not been the best. I was asked if it was for here or to go and said for here. I proceed to tell him my order and he said ok, and then asked me again if it was for here or to go. Then I had to repeat my order again. I highly advise training the front. The kitchen pumped out a quality bowl but the interactions make the experience. A quick wipe down of the tables and soda area need to be checked frequently. It's a super small eating area. Overall, I'll come back one more time to see if there's improvement. We had Chicken and Steak bowl. The portions are large. My husband and I shared a medium bowl and couldn't finish it. Great value for the money. I just tried Teriyaki Madness, and honestly... it was okay. Not really worth all the hype. The noodles were actually pretty decent, I'll give them that. I had the orange chicken and the katsu chicken -- both were cool, but nothing that really stood out. The cuts of chicken were just alright, not bad but not amazing either. I will say though, it's a slight step above Panda Express. But overall? It's just okay. Definitely not something I'd go crazy over. Finally got around to trying Teriyaki Madness and it was a hit with the whole family. We love how close to home it is and super convenient for a quick bite. We got the teriyaki chicken, spicy orange chicken and the noodles. My kids loved that the noodles don't have any veggies in it. I placed the order at the store and did not call ahead so I was worried it would be a long wait since most of the reviews mentioned long wait times, but it was ready within 15 minutes. This place just opened by my house, so I decided to give it a try. The food was good overall and my kids really loved it, which is always a plus. The only downside was the wait time. I waited around 20-25 minutes for my order. I also ordered the large chicken teriyaki yakisoba bowl and was a little disappointed because there wasn't much chicken in it. My regular bowl honestly seemed to have about the same amount of chicken, and most of the large bowl was noodles. Other than that, the flavor was good and the staff was nice. Food was fine. Nothing special and definitely not the best teriyaki place in town, but it was fine. What really ruined the appeal of this restaurant was the customer service and wait time. I placed an online to-go order at 5pm on a Saturday and it said it was about a 20-25 min wait. Got there at 25 mins and they told me it was another 30 mins because they had a lot of orders. Came back 30 mins later and the order still wasn't ready. This wasn't a large order either, just 3 bowls. Finally received my food over 70 mins after ordering. The manager blamed the delay on lots of orders and the website giving the wrong time estimates. He didn't try to offer anything as consolation either except for a water cup while I continued to wait. There were also lots of other upset customers waiting for their food who had been waiting over an hour too. Be prepared for a ridiculously long wait if you try to order from here during dinner time. read more

Nope, says copper and maple. Still deer in headlights and though I showed them my receipt that clearly states my order items they would not make it because they had not received the order. Manager advised with me and somehow tried to make it my fault. I was following online instructions. Then he found buried in emailed receipt that food would be ready at 7 pm. So basically ignore their app, ITS WORTHLESS. Finally. They received the order while we were arguing and started to make it. Another 15 minutes later and finally got my food. Almost an hour ordeal. We've been here three times since it opened and yes, the first time was super busy and we had to wait a while, but they had just opened so no surprise they were still trying to figure things out at the same time being slammed with business. Not a bad problem to have IMO. The follow up two visits, including last week, went much smoother and faster although it's good to note that most of the food is cooked to order so it does take a bit longer, but I'd prefer that then something that's been sitting for a while. The staff has always been friendly and patient while we asked a ton of questions, especially the owner. He's friendly and genuinely seems to want to make sure his customers are happy. We've had and enjoyed the edamame, potstickers, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, and katsu chicken. The veggies are very fresh and not over cooked, I like that I can get white meat chicken, and bonus points for having Dr. Pepper! Reminder that this is mostly a to-go set up (although we've eaten inside, there just isn't much room) so use the app for discounts/rewards and to order ahead of time to beat the wait if it's peak time. read more

My son keeps an eye out for new restaurants, and mentioned that they were open. They're right accross the road from us and we saw the construction going on. I opened an account and perused the menu and found some things I wanted to try. I ordered the Two Protein plate, with Teriyaki Chicken, Teriyaki Steak with Fried Rice. Normally, I don't order beef at such types of restaurants because it is almost always tough. Son ordered a regular sized Teriyaki Steak plate. I also ordered an extra Teriyaki Sauce, an order of Chicken Egg Roll and an order of Chicken Gyoza. For dessert, I ordered a Chocolate Chip Cookie. I placed the order for pickup and sent my son over to get it. Then I waited and waited, and waited some more. Almost a half hour. Finally, he showed up and told me the story of how there were 4 or 5 people waiting for their orders. There were several cooks going to town, but only 1 person at the counter waiting on customers, and that person was new and inexperienced. Had I known they had just opened the day before, I would have waited a week for them to get the "bugs" out. There appeared to be confusion at the counter. Anyway, such things can be expected at new launches. The food was good. The chicken was done well and had a nice sauce. The "steak," was thinly sliced meat like you would find in a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. It had the same sauce and was very tender. According to the menu, the Two Protein plate is supposed to equal a half pound of meat. I seriously doubt there was that much. The plastic plate with clear cover had probably two pounds of Fried Rice stuffed into it, with maybe a half of a small breast cut into strips, and several long pieces of "steak" lying atop the rice next to the chicken. My son enjoyed his "steak" plate. He bagged my Egg roll, so I dont know how it was, but the Gyoza had a nice crunch to it, with a good filling. I don't know how the cookie was, as it was left out of the order, even though the person handing the bag to my son read off all the items on the order, and junior didn't didn't check the bag...his bad. They have a fairly limited menu with each item being available in 3 levels of spicy...none, some, and look out! They have chicken Katsu, which I want to try next trip. The fried rice was good, and had peas and carrots in it. They have different sizes of menu items and a lot of customization one can apply to the orders. All broccoli for example, is an up-charge. Mine was a veggie mix. They have white, brown and fried rice. They have combos that come with a drink and another item, like an egg roll or cookie, or what have you. I thought it was overall of good quality, and I'm sure they'll get the kinks out, and I appreciate their proximity to where I live! read more

First of all, the franchisee seems nice. However, the issues with operations, training and management go beyond new business growing pains. I've been here 3 times: 1st time: Ordered online. There was a promotion for opening weekend and they were PACKED. Food was not ready at the time it was promised, but the franchisee was kind and accommodating and offered a free drink while people waited. I get it. Opening weekend promotional special madness. 2nd time: Ordered online. It was not busy. Food was not ready at promised time; I waited about 5 minutes. 3rd time: Ordered online. Food was not ready at the time it was promised. I proceeded to wait for another 20 minutes, over 45 minutes past the time I ordered. While I waited, I asked the young man at the front to please give me mad sauce instead of the teriyaki sauce. He wrote it on my ticket. A line of 3 parties built up. The manager was in the back barking orders in the "kitchen" instead of helping. I saw a plate come out. The kid at the front grabbed it and placed it on a tray, then proceeded to take another order. There were complications with the ordering and rewards log-in. I waited 6 minutes wondering if the food was mine. Indeed, it was. Instead of quickly bagging and handing me the order, it just sat there while this kid fumbled at the register. He knew I was sitting there waiting. The manager continued piling up ready to serve orders and barking at the kitchen, standing there instead of getting hands on and bagging them himself. Finally, another young man walked out from the back, bagged my order, then put it on the to-go shelf. I grabbed it and left. When I got home, I saw that I was given teriyaki sauce instead of mad sauce. Awful and unacceptable experience. I gave it three tries. More than most people would. I hate to do this to a new business, but three strikes and you're out. As someone who has worked in the food industry for years, hire a manager who is hands-on, jumps in to fill gaps while training the young staff, and is operationally sound. I was really excited to try this place since it's new to the neighborhood, and I'll be honest the food was absolutely great.The owner even greeted us when we first walked in, which I appreciated.However, while waiting for my food I could clearly hear the owner yelling at members of his team in the back. It was loud enough for customers to hear and it created a really uncomfortable atmosphere. Seeing staff being spoken to that way is honestly concerning and took away from what would have otherwise been a great experience.I truly hope this improves because the food and the concept are great, and the neighborhood would benefit from having a place like this. But the way employees are treated matters just as much as the quality of the food. read more
