I got a combo of the teriyaki steak and orange chicken with noodles and vegetables. I could easily split that into 3-4 meals for myself. It was a good portion. I think I barely made a dent into it after I was done eating today. I was curious and was really tempted to try the spicy version of both, but felt like I wanted to try it the original way first. For the price, you get a good amount of food and everything tastes great together. I got a junior chicken teriyaki bowl and a regular chicken breast teriyaki bowl -- not really sure what the difference was besides one having white rice and the other brown rice. Ehhhhh idk, this place wasn't necessarily bad. The food was fine, fresh. Actually it's a healthy option (without the sauce) which is always great.. I think I just expected more from their options and sauces. It really is only teriyaki sauce which tasted like regular soy sauce, one option for mixed veggies and either rice or noodles with meat options. I was in the Lombard area, and was in the mood to try something different, and this restaurant caught my attention. They have a small, but simple menu. The customer service was nice, the eating area was a roomy size, and also clean. This being my first time. I tried the junior size spicy chicken bowl, with white rice and veggies. What an incredible and down-to-earth spot for some extremely flavorful teriyaki! I've never been to Teriyaki Madness and I was pleasantly surprised trying it for the first time. This location looks small from the front but is bigger on the inside; there's parking right in front and they also have a spacious lot in the back. The staff here was so hospitable - they were friendly and offered suggestions when asked questions. Owners Nik and Rita are always here helping cook and serve food, too. They were beyond lovely! The food.. DANG. I got the spicy orange chicken with rice and veggies. It came PIPING hot since they make all their orders fresh and made-to-order. The open kitchen concept is nice, too. Good fresh Teriyaki without all the formalities! One thing I like about this place is that your teriyaki entree is made fresh to order and brought to your table. It's nicely packaged in a deep dish bowl and piping hot off the grill. I ordered the steak with noodles which was generously portioned. It comes with fresh wok'd cabbage too. The flavors were very true to teriyaki and the noodles were well seasoned but not overly flavored. The cabbage had a nice crunch that lended nicely to the soft meat and noodles. There are many other options to your bowl like brown rice vs white rice or all veggies. They offer halal meat as well. They also served crab Rangoon and pot stickers. At first I thought it looked small and after my last few bites I realized this is dense and it was more than necessary and that's coming from someone who likes allot. First time in was last night, brought back a bowl to share with my hungry spouse and she loved it so much that she's ordering family style for our kids and grandkids as they move into a new home nearby! I was literally at the St. Charles location on Saturday, and today I came here with my partner finally since we were in the area. We would've ended up at the Vernon Hills one if it wasn't temporarily closed on Google Maps. We came here for dinner around 8pm, and the staff were friendly and efficient. We each ordered a large bowl. I did two proteins (spicy tofu and orange spicy chicken), and my partner did the chicken teriyaki. I did the yakisoba noodles, and my partner did fried rice. My partner is so used to stealing bites from my bowl of leftovers, and today they appreciated having their own bowl. It was nice having piping hot food, and the staff brought it out to us since we dined in. I also love that it was packaged ready to go in case you don't finish it. Another thing I love is the dual ended fork on one side and chopsticks on the other. It's pretty unique. This place consistently exceeds my expectations each time, and it's always just as great as last time. Needless to say, it's one of my favorite restaurants that I look forward to going to. read more

The first was by mistake on the wrong day for a Yelp Event. The staff was fairly nice but a few of them had no idea what I was talking about regarding a Yelp event. The second time I went was during a Yelp event and everyone was super nice and on top of there game. Food didn't take too long to come out and they were all extremely informative about the options. Was actually pleasantly surprised with how quickly the food came out since it is fresh. The owner/ manager came out and introduced many of the menu items/sauces. Seemed to be extremely friendly. Value (B+) Meal was free, but a medium bowl- which is plenty of food and filling would be around $13 including tax. So not a value but not super expensive either. The meals are made fresh and not under a heat lamp like at Panda. Quality (B) Got the spicy orange chicken and it was pretty good. But not memorable and nothing I would crave. It wasn't too spicy and was actually expecting a bit more heat. I am not a bit spicy guy but this wasn't spicy for me. The veggies were excellent and clearly fresh and not soggy. The noodles were pretty good. Also tried the crab Rangoon and potstickers. Both were pretty good. Nothing was bad, everything tasted pretty good. Had a sauce for the potstickers which was excellent Feel like this place has potential and can cater to individuals who are looking for the mainstream Asian taste profile. I heard Teriyaki Madness was like a hipster version of Panda Express, so I decided to check it out one day while I was in the area. The noodles and veggies were average, but the chicken itself was pretty good. It does seem kind of like a hipster Panda Express, especially when paying $20 for such a small portion size of protein. The service was fair and the ambience wasn't anything special. Nothing bad about the service or ambience, but nothing that stands out either. Placed an order for carryout, ordered 2 noodles dishes, and a Chicken Katsu dish. My chicken noodles dish was very dry and would have required many additional sauce cups, and they give you one. I think the sauce cups are designed to get you right over the 20.00 a dish price. My noodle dish alone was just under 20.00 with no additional anything. My husbands noodles tasted as if they sat around for a while and deflated. You could see which dish is his in the picture. We ordered at a little after 6 pm, so definitely dinner time not too early and not too late. I didn't really want anymore of mine.
