We were looking to try a new sushi place and stumbled upon this place. The staff was very friendly, and gave us a free miso soup. The food was delicious but I'd say a bit over priced. It did come out quick though. The inside layout isn't the best but there is always places to sit.

I am new to waco and you all know how difficult it is to get established into a new town. I am not into Asían food until now. Our neighbors who are Koream invited us to Teryaki food park, abd let me tell you, it is the Best food I have eaten. Soo, the owner is an Awesome lady, glad I had the opportunity to meet her and her husband. I strongly recommend you go try the delicious dishes they prepare. Teriyaki food park staff are Great, you will be welcome with a Smile.

Uber eats delivery. Have not eaten at this restaurant or taken out from here in a very long time. Glad I did! The miso soup was a nice size portion and very tasty. The pork dumplings, 10 of them, were very nicely fried, not too greasy and not overcooked. The salmon poke bowl was good size for the price and delicious! Very pleased with my order.

My friends and I always love coming here when we are in town! Great food at a good price!

Came here because it's walking distance from the convention center. Ordering online comes with $2 fee but I did it anyway because I didn't want to wait & I am boujee like that. What we ordered: - Tuna poke bowl - the star of the show! Great portion for $10. Came with tuna, krab, seaweed salad, edamame & mango. Def ask for another cup of dressing because one was not enough for me. 5/5 - Assorted sushi - decent but not great. 3/5 - Veg lo mein - same, it's good for the price but nothing to write home about. 3/5 - "Smoothie" - Quotation marks because the smoothies were basically milk with powdered flavoring . My sweet-loving kids even refused to finish theirs. 2/5 I have to say their customer service is great though. The lady who handled all the ordering & serving was helpful & friendly & overally just a great worker. She is this reason I am rounding up my stars to 3.

The quality and flavor are noticeably superior to anything I've had elsewhere, consistently fresh, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care rather than shortcuts. One of the reasons we keep coming back is that everyone wins here. I'm hooked on the sushi bowls, and my wife loves that they also offer grilled chicken options with vegetables that are always crisp, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. It's rare to find a place that nails both quality seafood and non-sushi options this well. The customer service deserves special recognition. The team is genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever feeling forced. We go regularly, and it's become one of those places where you actually enjoy seeing the staff you've gotten to know. That kind of consistency and friendliness says a lot about how the restaurant is run. J-Petal & Poke isn't just a place we eat, it's a place we look forward to visiting. My wife and I decided on a bit of whim to have dinner at Diamondback's this past Monday evening…read more Overall, a pleasant experience. My wife had the ribeye and I had the prime rib. As has become almost standard in any steakhouse these days, her ribeye was not medium well as she asked, closer to a Pleistocene dining experience than in a very upscale restaurant in a technologically advanced civilization. Seems like they could have got that right. The prime rib was excellent, perfectly cooked and served with a particularly superb version of horse radish sauce. The vegetable sides were asparagus with Hollandaise and baked spinach. These are "family" servings that we shared between us. The spinach was excellent; the asparagus was a touch on the al dente side and the Hollandaise thin and flat, could have used a discernable bit of flavor. Meal - we'll go with a solid B plus, and a properly prepared ribeye would have elevated that. Service -the young lady that greeted us was clearly evaluating our somewhat casual attire (no shorts, no T-shirts, crocs or flip-flops, just nothing fancy) and had all of the warmth and welcoming charm of a Minnesota winter. The waiter was efficient and pleasant, but again as is a modern affectation, a bit overly familiar. We enjoy good service, but we're not going to become pen pals.

We kept it simple with apps and drinks, and even that was a letdown. The calamari came out lukewarm with zero flavor. Crab cakes were also barely warm (they tasted okay, but still shouldn't be served like that). The worst part was the lobster bisque--bland, lukewarm, and honestly tasted like canned soup with a few pieces of "lobster" thrown in. No flavor at all. We didn't complain, but the manager came over after noticing it wasn't touched and said the chef was "trying something different"... it didn't work. Even a guest next to us overheard and said the quality has gone downhill--she had sent hers back too. The only good thing was the drinks--dirty vodka martinis were solid. Overall, not worth the price. We won't be back.
